Open recent item - how can I clear

Anyone know where the list of "recently opened items" is
stored that shows when you open Dreamweaver. I would like to be
able to purge the list periodically.

Note: Be sure to close Dreamweaver before performing the
instructions that David laid out. (Dreamweaver writes the Recent
File List on closing. So if you edit the registry while Dreamweaver
is open, Dreamweaver will just rewrite the values back to the
registry when it closes.)
For Dreamweaver CS3, following is an updated version of
David's instructions:
On Windows, it's a setting in the Windows registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Dreamweaver9\Recent File
List
Select each file, right-click and select Delete.
If you are unfamiliar with the Registry, you can access it by
executing the following:
Start > Run > REGEDIT > OK

It's not an option in the prefs. It's a hidden file that makes up part of the preference set (as far as I know, most, or all of the seetings you can adjust inside ID's prefences dialog are actually saved in the other half of the set, InDesign Defaults). F.13 - limit on number of AR open items that can be cleared in one job?

I am attempting to use F.13 to automatically clear a remittance paying off approx 1,500 open AR items. The job appears to finish normally but the open items are not cleared. Is there a maximum number of open items that can be cleared using F.13 - if so what is the number? All help appreciated.

If there is a limit (which I doubt), it certainly not set to 1500 items. I new projects where daily quantity of open items was 3-4 times more and still the clearing worked impeccably. Try running this job in background and see the log. Also, make sure, that the 'test run' is switched off.

When I try to delete my recent browsing history (mostly to delete the cache) the delete recent history button is greyed out so I can't click on it. How can I clear my cache?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

Entries in the location bar drop down list with a yellow (blue on Mac) star at the right end are bookmarks. 
You can remove such a bookmarked item that shows in the list if you open that url in a tab and click the yellow star in the location bar. 
This will open the "Edit This Bookmark" dialog and you can click the Remove button to remove the bookmark if you want to remove such a bookmarked entry.

Thank you. This does the job for "opened documents" in TextEdit and other applications. I wish there were a similar method for "open recent" items. Each application (TextEdit, BBEdit etc) seems to handle the "open recent" items in its own way!

Custom duty is a delivery cost. You can process the delivery cost before GR even with activation of "GR Based IV".
Control due to "GR Based IV" is applicable for goods item invoice.

If you mean the Google search bar on the Navigation Toolbar then you need to remove all that history.
You can right-click the textarea of that search bar and choose "Clear Search History".

As the headline says, how can I clear the stored browsing history in iCloud?
After resetting my iPhone, previous history came back as soon as I signed in with iCloud on it. I would really like this to not occur.

The only place that Thunderbird gets suggested addresses is from your address books. I have seen some not show up in the books because some key info was never stored when the contact was saved.
Sometimes you can start a new message and when the bad contact shows up select it. Create the message and save it to drafts. Then you can go to the Draft folder open the draft message by right clicking and select Open Message in Tab. Then click the star to the right of the contact and it will open the contact edit button. From there you can delete the contact.
This does not always work though.

Firstly you DO NOT have to do a factory reset / wipe device, it is simply not required to get the space back!!
Mine had 3GB and I just got rid of it all, here is how:
METHOD ONE:
Make a backup in iTunes
open iBackupBot (Google it)
Go to the relevant backup
Click on Multimedia File Manager and click on the other Multimedia files tab
Sort by filename by clicking the Filename tab
Find MediaDomain/Library/SMS/Attachments and highlight all of them, then press delete. You can also click to export to a folder of your choice, if you want to save them that is.
Then go to System Files>MediaDomain>Library>SMS>Attachments
They will be all listed here, highlight them all and press delete
Then just restore that backup using iTunes!
Tadaa! Space recovered, your messages are still there but without the attachments! METHOD TWO:
Backup your device in iTunes and then to iCloud
Go to Settings>iCloud and toggle Documents & Data to OFF
Then do a 2nd backup to iTunes and iCloud
Then restore the device from iCloud and the message attachments should be gone, turn Documents & Data back on again in the settings
PLEASE NOTE: Method two is a much longer process but some users may feel more comfortable with this method.
P.S You may want to make two backups in case you get any of the above steps wrong, but it is simple to follow the above and not do anything wrong!
P.P.S You could also just go through every single conversation and delete the attachments one by one, but if you have hundreds or thousands of attachments, this will take a VERY LONG TIME!!!

Every time I open an document, as for example a PDF doc, all the recent PDFs docs open together.
How can I avoid this; where do I find the setting to avoid this behaviour?

I searched this question for about an hour to no avail, so I hope someone here can help me.
My iPhone shows one unheard message when on the home screen. I have checked my voicemail going through the visual voicemail system and also by dialing in the old fashioned way, and I do NOT have any unheard messages.
My question is: How can I "clear the count" of unheard messages that is being displayed on the home screen?

You could be seeing the number of missed calls, try tapping Phone> then Recents, does the number disappear? The missed calls are shown in red.

How can I clear the "Purchased" apps list from the "Not on This Iphone" list of the Updates section of the App Store on my Iphone 4?
There is no clear function. If I Erase All Content and Settings in General Settings will that do it? It'd be nice not to have to do that and erase all my data and media.

Nick, you had the right idea. Success! I changed my email address on my Apple ID. Then went to my Iphone and under Settings, iTunes & App Stores, press on AppleID: (I.D.inserted), Sign Out, Create New Apple ID. Used the original Apple ID email address to create a "new" Apple ID, going through the whole set up process again, including billing info. Then, when opening the App Store app there are no Purchased apps to display, because there are none on this "new" account. The old account still exists in Apple cyberspace, but it is not tied to my iPhone or iTunes anymore. There does not appear to be any way to delete an Apple ID. Maybe after a few centuries Apple will discard it. Maybe not.
