Open tab with different browser rendering engine on Mac?

Is there anything similar to IE Tab that would open a tab using Safari or Chrome's rendering engine on a Mac? I know about Safari view, but that opens up Safari - I'd like to just be able to render certain tabs with a non-Firefox browser while remaining in Firefox. Thanks.

As far as I know there is no such add-on. The only ones available are the variants of IE Tab for Windows.

Shared how? The other users can read the documents or you all can read and write the documents?
The first is easy just place the documents in /Users/Shared anyone can access the files there and the other users will be able to read them.
The second is a bit trickier.

How can I share the home folder with different accounts on the same mac?
The whole point being not to have to install all my apps, and move all my files each time between users.
The second thing would be to be able to modify one document on one account, and have it changed on the other account without having to copy it.
I would like to have a pro and a private account on my mac.

Your apps should not be installed in your home folder--they should be in /Applications where every user can access them.
If you want to share things between users on the same Mac, use the /Users/Shared folder. Keep your home folder private. Trying to defeat the protections on the home folder subfolders just gets messy. I've never bothered to figure out all of the problems associated with it so I can't explain how to do it.
Even with using Shared, you would need to alter the ACLs on the shared folder in order to allow both users to modify the documents.
You must create a Group in Users & Groups and put each user in that group. Then create a folder inside /Users/Shared where you want to share the various files.
Then, add an ACL to the shared folder that gives the group special permissions. on that folder.
sudo chmod -R +a "<sharinggroup> allow delete,chown,list,search,add_file,add_subdirectory,delete_child,file_inherit,directory_inherit" /Users/Shared/<sharing folder>
Replace <sharinggroup> and <sharingfolder> with the name of your group and your folder. Then, run the command in the Terminal.
With that ACL, each user in <sharinggroup> will be able to alter the files created by any user in the group in that <sharingfolder>.
Essentially, the client OS is not designed for true file sharing among the individual users. It is designed to isolate each user account from the others.

If I would like to have all opened tabs in my browser stop loading a webpage is their a shortcut key that will allow this?

If I open too many Bookmarked pages into tabs my browser will hang and then sometimes crash or close unexpectedly.
If I bring up task manager or use the Alt + Tab I can navigate to the window and right-click and choose restore to allow me to see the window again. This needs to be done if I load more than 10 pages at once. Is there a way to choose to prevent loading of all opened tabs and then choose which tabs I'm currently working with to load the webpage? I would like to know how to use a shortcut key on my keyboard to select all tabs as ctrl + A does not work and then escape or another key tells to stop all pages from loading in each tab as with all the ads, gifs, videos, and internet spam keeps growing it is too much of a strain to have multiple webpages opened in tabs on the browser.
I use Win XP SP2 and I am eagerly waiting a solution as it has been an issue with even previous versions of Firefox however IE could only have about 3 tabs opened and then would crash that is why I stick with Firefox as my browser of choice.

1. I am using javascript to hide text field .The way it works is,when you click on the radio button it will display the hidden fields.It works fine with Internet Explorer,its not working with mozilla

Open EP7 with Mobile Browser

Dear all,
we want to open the whole Portal Content (EP 7 SPS11) from a Mobile device (Microsoft Mobile 5 Internet Explorer). These devices are already in our intranet-network.
We got the several mentioned iview error "iView is not compatible with your browser, operating system or device...". We know that the browser is not in the SAP PAM, but if it is possible, we do not want to implement SAP Mobile Infrastructure. We want to display the whole portal content (that already includes some R/3-Views.)
Does anybody knows a solution? A scenario, perhaps an additional server which routes the request from the mobile browser to the SAP Portal in that way, that the SAP Portal accepts it?

Hi Wiebke,
You need to change the property Supported User Agents for all objects you need to access with MS Mobile IE. The procedure is the same as enabling your portal to be indexed by Web Search Engines for external facing portals, which is described here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/44/ccf6bf687f3b9ae10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm.
This will technically allow all browsers to access the portal. Note that SAP does not support them, and especially in the case of mobile browsers, you may have issues regarding screen size and scripts (maybe fix this by creating a custom framework page+custom navigation iviews?).

Is there an extension or a plugin that allows for marking different tabs with colors ? I want to be able to group together a bunch of tabs that are relevant under one color.

[SOLVED] Xfce terminal open links with wrong browser.

After installing Opera as second browser, xfce terminal began to open links with it, instead of my default browser - Firefox.
I right click on an URL, choose 'Open Link' and it opens in Opera.
Firefox is set as default browser in Settings -> Preferred Applications -> Web Browser
xdg-open http://archlinux.org
- opens Firefox
exo-open http://archlinux.org
- opens Firefox
After quick search through xfce terminal sources i found it uses some function - gtk_show_uri.
I googled it, found that topic: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=140028 and tried the solution:

strangely it doesn't help.
After all righ click url in terminal and 'Open Link' still uses Opera.

Tried BROWSER envar - doesnt help, and as i understand it must work only for cli apps.
Editing of ~/.config/mimeapps.list doesnt help eather:

I am creating a RTF Editor with JTextPane, DefaultStyledDocument and RTFEditor,It is right if input English character with different Font such as Arial,Basemic etc .but with Non-English ,It is question!!when I input chinese in font "��GB_2312",and save it ,then I open it again ,font is changed to "��"��but font size,color ,and style is correct!I doubt it is RTFEditor does't support chinese font ,is it?how can I do?

Open Environment with different flags

Is it correct to open an environment with different flags from that when it was created? For example, I use DB_INIT_CDB to open an environment directory which was not created using this flag? Will the environment support concurrency then? Thank you.

on subsequent 'reopens' you should use the same set of flags as used when it the db files were created. The exception is with create flag. If you create a db file with one purpose in mind and want to change that purpose, you should recreate the db file with a new set of flags. You can use dump/restore to dump and reload the data in the newly created db file

IPop Use with different operating systems Windows And Mac Osx

so the quetion is this can i use my IPod with different Operatin systems?
I have a MacBook at home where i keep all my Music in and at the office i have a Windows network i would like to carry some music from home to the office using my IPod. I thought that a solution is to Partition my Ipod 40G in 2 parts and have one of them FAT so that my Windows operating system can view it.
Did any of you done it? and if so How? did you loose the use of some of the IPod functions?
let me Know if there are ways to carry music using your Ipod from the MacOSX to Windows Prof or home edition thanks!

Your problem has nothing to do with data vs music. Music IS data. I've used my iPod for data and music since the first iPod was released. There's no reason to think the two OS versions are involved either.
Look at your usage practices - and I'm not necessarily suggesting you are abusing your computer. Has one of your computers crashed while the iPod was connected? This could cause data damage that might explain the problem. Have you ever disconnected the iPod without un-mounting it first?
You might also be creating fragmentation problems if you frequently add and remove data files while at the same time adding and removing music. One decision I made when I was using my iPod to transport lots of movies and photos for a project was to NOT make any music changes during that busy two week period.

'Preview in Chrome' opening two tabs with different URLs

Dreamweaver CS6 V12.0 Build 5861
Local root folder set to /Users/tom/Desktop
If I preview any file in Chrome (v32.0.1700.77), two tabs are created:
tab 1: file:///Users/tom/Desktop/file.html
tab 2: file://macintosh%20hd/Users/tom/Desktop/file.html (also the URL shown if Chrome is already running)
This can be frustrating if I'm previewing a page with Javascript which requires user interaction, and means I have to keep
Chrome opened all the time.
Safari (v7.0.1) and Firefox (v26) both work as expected with a single tab and show the following URLs respectively:
file:///Users/tom/Desktop/file.html
file:///Volumes/Macintosh%20HD/Users/tom/Desktop/file.html

please correct all these entries, starting with file:///. These pathes to your files are pointing to your hard drive, which nobody can see except you. After that please load up your website to your server, so that we could find some other "culprits" if still necessary.
