"Open with Explorer" no longer works with IE 10 & 11 without 32-bit -- What alternative do we have?

I know that if we open SPS 2010 in IE 10 & IE 11 in 64-bit O/S, "Open with Explorer" no longer works because this function requires 32-bit version of IE.
I give up to find a way to open IE 10 in 32-bit -- I had tried several so-called solutions but none works for me. So, I'm looking for an alternative: is there an URL that I can put in
Windows Explorer's address bar to open the SharePoint page directly?
I had tried http://mysps/somefolder/etc/ failed!
I had tried \\mysps\DavWWWRoot failed again!
So, I would like to hear to those who have succeeded to use "Open with Explorer" with IE 10 or 11 installed in 64-bit O/S.

According to your description, my understanding is that "Open with Explorer" didn’t work with IE 10 & 11 in SharePoint 2010.
I commend you use IE 10 or 11 32-bit rather than 64-bit. Then check whether the browser SharePoint add-ons are enabled. If not, please enable them.
You can check browser add-ons by opening IE->Tools->Programs->Manage add-ons-> check all add-ons related to SharePoint, such as SharePoint OpenDocuments Class. If there is not any add-on related to SharePoint, please repair your Office by clicking
Control Panel->Programs and Features-> select your Office, and right-click it, then select ‘Change’.
Please make sure that webClient service is running on your machine by opening Start->Administrative Tools->Services.

I have a Verizon landline account (no Fios) and the caller id has stopped working. I first tried using their help desk and went through the automated process of resetting it but that did not work. Then I've tried 3 other times while speaking to a technician at Verizon and each time they say the service is activated and then close the trouble ticket without verifying that it actually works. Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe".
Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

Facebook and Slacker no longer working with Firefox. Still work with Explorer. Until a week ago problem did not exist.

I am for about one week not able to input information on Facebook. Also the Facebook page appears in a huge font. Regarding Slacker I do not see any available online radio stations. Until about a week ago everything worked fine. At present I can work with Internet Explorer, but at present can no longer work with Firefox.

i'm using Mac OSX 10.4.11 and Firefox 3.6.12. As i understand it any of ur upgrades no longer work with this computer system. ( I tried to upgrade last week and ur site said upgrades no available gfor my platform version. Last week every time i conducted a search (default Google) i was redirected to http://search.creativecommons.org/?q=crossword+puzzles&sourceid=Mozilla-search.what gives? Have I been hijacked? also sites that I use daily are clipped and entire pages are smaller than usual . see www.shockwave.com

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Cmd+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
Firefox > Preferences > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
If you open about:crashes, you should get links to online crash reports. You could post some of the crash IDs for review by volunteers here.
Given the timing, another issue might be some ads or media in the page. There are some add-ons to block such things...

I have tried resetting it, ive restarted my browser etc. I tried to erase all data from my Ipad but I can't do that because it needs to sign into my Apple ID and use the Internet!

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Airplay no longer works with iTunes

Airplay no longer works with iTunes 10.6; try to stream to speakers connected to Airplay device--use to work fine. Now, in iTunes, the icon in the bottom corner actually says 2 speakers, as it should, but when I open it it only shows speakers connected to computer directly. I have tried re-installing the AirPort utility and configuring it in every which way. I have tried turning off IPV6 in the network. Nothing seems to work.

I noticed this too and think it's by design. The new master volume slider in the AirPlay window is set at the highest volume in your list of speakers. Drag either the master volume or your external speaker slider to max, and you should get normal volumes out of your Airport Express speakers.
Unfortunately, the volume slider on the iTunes window seems to be the master volume now, rather than just the volume for the computer. So if you mute the computer using that slider, you mute all speakers. To mute just the computer, you have to do it though the AirPlay speaker list now. Unless I'm missing a preference setting somewhere... thought there used to be something in iTunes or Airport Utility that let you toggle this behavior, but I don't see anything now...

Help with Places no longer working in iPhoto 9

Since an update about a month ago, Places no longer works with iPhoto 9 version 8.1.2 (424). Where GPS data is present, the map tries to open but all I get is a dull green screen where the map should be. My Nikon View software Geotag works with the same images so the problem appears to be with iPhoto. Has anyone any idea on how to fix it? Would upgrading to iPhoto 11 solve it?

Hmm. i find this very convenient being a microsoft product. anybody else wonder why this new version happens to not be safari compatible? does anybody know if it works on the PC version of safari? if not, i find this to be a blatant move on microsofts part to bias the safari browser (especially since its basicly new on the window platform). forcing safari/hotmail users to "have" to use another browser to access their hotmail accounts.

I have been successfully using Hotmail and Gmail with Safari for a long time. For roughly the past month, that relationship is rocky at best. At times, one of the following actions suddenly opens Hotmail, but it is a short-lived solution:
(a) Hotmail directly
(b) Hotmail Home>Hotmail
(c) Sign up to Windows Hotmail
(d) Deletion of prescribed cookies, resetting, etc. - made no difference
Both Firefox and Opera work fine with Hotmail - especially Opera is very fast.
In addition, Safari and Gmail does not work with Attachments, but otherwise Gmail is OK.
I suspect I have to wait for a Safari fix because in my case I do not wish to abandon Hotmail, and Safari is a given. I would think that Safari would want to stay competitive with the two biggies, Hotmail and Gmail, which must have large numbers of users.
I certainly would appreciate any other suggested fixes.

Team Explorer don't work with Employee Self Service

We're testing the Team Explorer iview on our EP 6. After long tests, we had success in show all data that TeamViewer has. Now, we are facing another error (or maybe not). The Team Explorer iView doesn't work with ESS iView. When I pick somebody on the TeamExplorer, the ESS iView has no reaction. And here is my question. Somebody knows if the Team Explorer iView was made to interact with Employee Self Service iView? Like the TeamViewer it's able to with "ESS in MSS" functionality. Waiting for news.

Hi Daniel,
the Team Explorer doesn't work with ESS-iViews, cause these iViews don't react of the raised events. The other way around, you can use MSS-iViews in ESS. Just hide the Team Explorer.

Function keys no longer working with a new keyboard...

I got a new keyboard and my function keys no longer work with it. I am used to have them used in the standard format, i.e. F10-F12 control the voume, etc. I have the "Use all f1,f2, etc." button clicked. I have also tried restarting my computer. Any thoughts?

Try doing a SMC reset and PRAM reset.
SMC RESET
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Bluetooth No Longer Working With Headset

I have a Motorola bluetooth headset that I've used with my ibook before without a hitch, but when I screwed up OS X and reinstalled it (note: reinstalled the operating system, but didn't format) it no longer works with the headset. I can connect to it just fine, but if I try to use it for anything such as switch my audio output to the headset, the program will freeze - same applies to using the headset for input. The headset isn't broken as it works fine with my phone, but my ibook won't cooperate and they are paired correctly. Is their someway to reinstall the bluetooth drivers or something to that extent?
