"Open with" in get info, how do I reset this?
I chose to change all (as i thought) illustrator .eps files to open with Adobe Illustrator CS2, but this now affects all .eps files including FreeHand and photoshop files. Is there any way of reseting this function?

To reset the application that opens any file, highlight one of the files you wish to change, go to File>Get Info, the fifth item down should be Open with: use the drop down menu to change to the application of your choice.
While you are there, you can choose to associate all documents of a like kind to open with that application - or not.

You will need to restore it. The sidebar of your iPad appears on itunes even if you dont enter the passcode. There's the option to restore it. More info:

"Open with" in Get Info not sticking
I want InDesign files to open in CS4 not CS5 (both are loaded), when I click on an InDesign file and Get Info then twirl down 'Open with: I change it to Adobe InDesign CS4, works as it should, however, when I click 'Change All' the Open with changes to back to CS5.

If [Soxy|http://www.rorohiko.com/wordpress/downloads/lightning-brain-soxy> is not a good solution for you and you don't find another method, a workaround might be to keep an icon for CS4 in your Dock, and then drag the InDesign files onto that icon instead of double-clicking them. -
Setting "Open with" in Get Info
I want to have my keynote files open in Keynote 09 so that I don't accidently save them in a format that others can't read, but whenever I try to set "Keynote (5.3)" as the default, it switches back to the new Keynote. I even tried renaming the new Keynote Keynote_new, but that didn't change anything. Is there anything short of removing the newest Keynote to allow me to set Keynote 09 as the default application to open keynote files?
When you create a file in Keynote 09 it should be saved in the 09 format. It's only a problem when opening a file that it would open in a newer format.
By default applications are set to open in the newerst version. In your case since you have both versions, the only way around this is to drag the file to the old version in the Dock to open. Otherwise it will default to the newest version.
You can't control what the recipient has on their computer.
If you save as PDF, that would open in the PDF format rather than Keynote.
Under Print select Print to PDF. This saves as a PDF file.

Anzaron, 33.1.1 users should get a update to 34.0 only. The 34.0.5 is if you do a fresh install from mozilla.org. The two are the same with 34.0.5 making Yahoo be the default search engine instead of Google.

When I open Firefox another separate Firefox window opens with an ad. How do I stop this?
Since Firefox upgraded to 3.6.12 I have been having a separate Firefox window open everytime I open up Firefox. This separate window has some kind of advertisement. I click on that separate page to close it out and sometimes it also closes out the original I opened up, sometimes it doesn't. It is getting very frustrating to have these other sites just open up and I have to keep closing them out. I have checked my pop-up blocker and it is turned on...but this really is not a pop-up. So how do I get these advertisements to stop showing up?

Windows automatically updated my computer a few days ago and now when I open a Firefox window my Bookmarks Toolbar does not automatically appear at the top of the window. I can get it to appear there manually but I have to do it each time I open a window. Is there a way to reset it so that my Bookmarks Toolbar appears automatically at the top of the window every time I open a new window?

You can only do it via iTunes. You'll have to force it into recovery mode.
