Open Workitem in UWL from an external portal link

Hi Experts,
I have an approval mail that contains a link to the portal. The link takes the approver to the login page of the portal. On entering the login credentials, the worklist opens. The question here is, can we have a link such that on clicking the link,  the respective work item opens for the approver straightaway. In short, after entering the login credentials, the workitem opens straight away and the approver dont have to search for the workitem in the worklist.
BR,
KM

Thanks for your response Haller.
Thats exactly what we need - to open the Task-UI directly upon clicking on the link provided in outlook mailbox and this Task should open in SAP Portal.
In our current scenario - upon clicking on the link, the task opens in GUI (for which logonpad needs to be presented in the system)
In order to avoid this, Client is looking for a solution where this task can be opened directly in portal window. If I need to go with WD, can you please guide me on the steps.
Regards,
Sen

  • Photos app in my mac is not able to open the iPhoto library from my external hard disk.

I am using iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013) OS 10.10.3. i have 2 iPhoto library one on my Mac HD and the other on my External HD which i primarily use and which has all the latest photos in it. Now with the new update to photos app in Mac i am not able to open the iPhoto library from my external HD. I get the following error message please help.

i am not able to open the iPhoto library from my external HD
How is the external HD formatted? Is the filesystem MAcOS Extended (Journaled) as necessary?
Is theHD directly connected or by a networked connection?
Have you tried to set the "Ignore Ownership on this volume" flag?
See how to prepare the drive for storing an iPhoto Library on it in this document: iPhoto: Sharing libraries among multiple users
Which version of iPhoto created the library? If it was iPhoto 7.1.2 or earlier, download and run the iPhoto Library upgrader.

  • Can I open an imovie project from an external hard drive on a different computer than my own? If so how?

Can I open an imovie project from an external hard drive on a different computer other than my own? If so how?

If you used the Finder to move the files, iMovie will have lost track of them. iMovie holds the locations of the Event files, and Project files contain references to those locations. If you move the files, iMovie has no way of knowing where they are.
If you can, first move all the files back to their original locations. Plug in the external drive. Open iMovie and move the files in iMovie's interface (help explains how, but basically, just drag and drop in the event pane).
Then you can connect the drive to the new computer, and iMovie will see them.

  • How do I open my imovie files from an external hard drive on a new computer

I'm trying to open my files from an external harddrive and the I don't know how to open it on another computer...the "event" files are confusing and I can't open a file of imovie 08....thanks!

  • Opening organized iPhoto photos from Seagate external harddrive

I have a Seagate Backup Plus Slim Portable Drive 2TB that I have my entire laptop backed up to. I have over 23,000 photos in my iPhoto 9.6 Library which has been significantly slowing down my Macbook Pro for a while. Since my entire iPhoto Library is backed up, I want to delete most of my photos from my laptop. However, before I delete them, I want to be sure that I can open up iPhoto from my external hard drive and all my photos will be there, organized the way I have them organized now.
I’ve tested this many times, trying to figure out how to open my backed up library on my laptop. I’ve tried option > open iPhoto and creating new libraries/opening existing libraries, but each time I do this, iPhoto loads up with no pictures in it at all.
I know that everything is backed up, but once I delete my pictures from my laptop, how will I open my backed up library to view all my photos again? The option > open solution has not worked for me at all. I’ve never been able to open the backed up library (not sure if this has something to do with the fact that I still have all the photos in my existing library). I'm hesitant to delete my photos before seeing all my photos loaded and organized from my external hard drive.

    Ok
Again what you are trying do will not work
you can NOT open an iphoto library that is a TM backup - you must first restore the backup to your main drive and then open it - https://www.apple.com/support/timemachine/
And as well documented TM removes old backups when it runs out of space so as I previously said
and depending on how you are managing the backups you may very well end up with the photos gone from the backup too
sooner or later all of the photos you deleted form your main library will be deleted form the backup - again it is not an archive
You can do what ever you want - but again
the best way to accomplish what you want is to have an EHD formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) directly connected to your MBP with a fast wired connection (Firewire, USB 2 or 3 or Thunderbolt) - move your iPhoto library to it and start a new library on you MBP - use iPhoto Library Manager to move photos between libraries - and be sure your backup system is backing up both you main drive and your iphoto library archive drive
You can NOT do it the way you are trying to - it simply does not work that way

  • Open a Dynamic URL from a Table column link

    Hi,
    Jdev Version (11.1.1.6.0)
I have requirement to open a dynamic URL from table column. Any time I click on link, it should generate dynamic URL based on column attribute and open in popup or browser. Can someone pls suggest how to achieve this.
    Thanks
    Ank

1)If you have any parameters that needs to be passed to build that dynamicURL, just set a propertyListener on the column attribute and get the value.
2)Then on the af:commandLink action, build your dynamicURL with the required parameters.
    3) If you URL is all together a different application which doesn't share your transaction, you can open it as below
In the below code, urlWithParams will be your dynamicURL.
    ExtendedRenderKitService erks =
    Service.getRenderKitService(facesContext, ExtendedRenderKitService.class);
    StringBuilder sbURL = new StringBuilder();
    sbURL.append("window.open(\"" + urlWithParams + "\");");
    erks.addScript(facesContext, sbURL.toString());
You can also try the above response by user 948181.
    Hope it helps.

It works very well but I would like it to open within the original window (cf the '_self' html fonction) instead of outside of it.

  • Open os9 movie clip  from iomega external harddrive  on osX

With my old G3 Mac I stored movies on a 120 GB External firewire Iomega Hardrive.
When I use this same external harddrive with my new G4 Mac, the Harddrive works perfect without having to dowload any drivers.
But the os9 ( G3 mac) movie's stored on the Iomega external harddrive will not open on the osx G4 Mac
All mp3's stored on the external harddrive from the G3 os9 mac open perfect on the G4 osx mac.

    Modified: (Whatever)
I looked in diskUtility and yes this is somthing I must do to re-formatt.

  • Help! I need to open my iTunes library from my external hard drive

    Hey everybody
I recently moved my iTunes library to an external hard drive. It worked great for a while; whenever I opened iTunes I made sure my hard drive was plugged in. Since then, I've used iTunes without plugging the hard drive in to sync my iPhone contacts, so there is also a local iTunes library without any files. My question: how do I tell iTunes to open the library on my external hard drive again? The hard drive is plugged in but iTunes won't open the library on the hard drive. I think there is some key I have to hold down while opening iTunes (?) it's not ctrl or option. Help! Thanks
    Ryan

Yep. You're right. My problem was that I wasn't holding the option key down long enough... wow, epic fail... but thanks! I now have my music back!

  • External portal capturing internal portal URL in Log and trace file

    Hi,
We are facing one issue in portal like we have two portals for internal (Intranet) and external (Internet) users.
Once users logged in the application and try to get the information about mylink from the external portal link (internet) they should not get any information about the internal portal.
But in log and trace file we can see the external portal link capturing the internal portal URL.
We need to find, from where system capturing the internal portal URL.
    Thanks.

The tkproffed trace file is in seconds.
"set timing" is in hh:mi:ss.uu format. So 00:00:01.01 is 1.01 seconds.
You have to remember that most of these measurements are rounded. While your trace file says it contains one second of trace data, you know it's more.
One excellent resource for trace files is "Optimizing Oracle Performance" by Cary Millsap & Jeff Holt. (http://www.amazon.com/Optimizing-Oracle-Performance-Cary-Millsap/dp/059600527X ) I thought I knew trace files before, but this book brings your knowledge to a whole new level.
There is also an excellent WP by Cary Millsap ( http://method-r.com/downloads/doc_details/10-for-developers-making-friends-with-the-oracle-database-cary-millsap ) that gives you some insight.

  • Access web dynpro abap application from external portal.

    Hi
How can a application made in ABAP be accessed from SAP External Portal.
Like a java web dynpro application could be easily accessed by making a webDynpro Java ivew in portal.
Is their any method to access a ABAP application similarly.
    Thanks.

    Thomas
    Here is our scenario
We want to expose an ABAP webdynpro application using ABAP Webdynpro iView in portal to the internet. Does this scenario use the ITS http server / port like URL iview behind the scenes.
Can you please share more info on the above scenario.
    Thanks in advance
