Opendocument with custom parameters

Hi All,
Can we pass any data or parameters using OpenDocument hyperlinks in case we do not have any prompts in the report at all in the destination report.
I know we can use User Response for fetching the prompt selections. But in my case i don't have any prompts neither in source report nor in destination report.
I want to check is there any work around for this.

  • Running powershell script with customer parameters as a scheduled task

You'd need to remove the old one and add the new one each time. Which is extra work and complexity, especially if the task at hand is in any way 'dangerous' if run twice with the same data (ie you forget to change the task or remove it).I'm using a scheduled task to trigger the script, I'm using the "on event" trigger and then calling the script as an action. Hi all,Having one of those hair pulling issues where something should work but for some reason its blindly refusing not to!I've created this script that is a bit of an extension to the email on eventID for task scheduled. It basically pulls out the various information from the actual event and fires off an email to our alerting team to investigate etc. That all works great, but what I'm now trying to do is get it to accept a custom parameter so the actual event ID its looking for doesn't have to be hard coded and can be passed to it via the commandline etc. I've got it all setup and work great but for the life of me can't get it to work correctly when set as a scheduled task. This is what the command basically looks like:powershell -executionpolicy bypass -command "& 'pathtofile\script.ps1' -evtid 8004"The latter part is the customer...

  • Passing databse functions with parameters as custom parameters from comand

    Hi,
I have a database function get_id(ichar varchar2) which will return a number which I am trying to pass to a mapping as custom inout parameter using the following command:
    @SQLplus_exec_template.sql RTUSER RTLOC PLSQL mapname "," "INPUT_ID=sample_pkg.get_id('I')"
and I get the following error
    ------ start----------
    Session altered.
    Role set.
    override_custom_input_params(l_audit_execution_id, 'IN_FROM_DATE=1999/01/0108:00,IN_TO_DATE=2003/12/3108:00,BL_LOAD_ID=bl_job_control.get_bl_load_id('I')');
    ERROR at line 215:

    .. <an exponent (**)> <> or != or ~= >= <= <> and or like
    between ||
The symbol ". was inserted before "I" to continue.

However, the command line with NO parameter to the function like the following command works perfect:
    @SQLplus_exec_template.sql RTUSER RTLOC PLSQL mapname "," "INPUT_ID=sample_pkg.get_id"
Will OWB commandline not accept function call with parameters? Please treat this as urgent and advice ASAP.
    Thanks.

Thanks, Mark. It works. However facing another issue. I try to pass to_char(sysdate\,''yyyy/mm/ddhh:mi:ss'') as one of the custom parameters to the mapping as
    @SQLplus_exec_template.sql RTUSER RTLOC PLSQL mapname "," "INPUT_STDT=2002/10/2010:10:03,INPUT_enddt=to_char(sysdate\,''yyyy/mm/ddhh:mi:ss'')"
    and it erros out as
    ------ start ------
ORA-01841: (full) year must be between -4713 and +9999, and not be 0 ORA-06512: at line 1
    ------ end ------
    Questions:
    1. Why does a simple to_char(sysdate\,'yyyy/mm/ddhh:mi:ss') as an input parameter fail?
2.what is the date format that OWB expects when we pass date as an input parameter. Can the format be modified?
OWB seems to accept the format yyyy/dd/mm only. If I pass as different format, it errors with ORA 1861 Text: literal does not match format string.
    3. Where can I change the format in OWB if it can be changed.
NOTE: OWB complains only about INPUT_ENDDT and not INPUT_STDT because, if I hardcode INPUT_ENDDT like 2003/11/178:00 it works.
    example:
    @SQLplus_exec_template.sql RTUSER RTLOC PLSQL mapname "," INPUT_STDT=2002/10/2008:00,INPUT_ENDDT=2003/11/1706:45:59"
    works fine.
    Am I missing something here?
    Thanks again.

  • SSO with Custom LDAP

    This is the landscape :-
Web Application / Portal at Oracle Web Center Suite (WCS).
    SAP BO 4.0
Authentication using Custom LDAP & SSO with Trusted Authentication.
Used OpenLDAP for authentication via RadiantOne VDS as the proxy.
    Activities :
Authenticate the BO users with OpenLDAP via RadiantOne.
Synchronize the BO user group from OpenLDAP via RadiantOne.
Used openDocument.jsp to open WEBI reports.
    Problems :
We configure the LDAP as Custom. Attributes mapping as default.
When BOE trying to connect the RadiantOne VDS & create user u201Cuser01u201D which already exists in the OpenLDAP server. It throws the exception :
"An internal error has occurred in the secLdap plugin.u201D
When trying to create user that does not exist in LDAP. It throws the exception :
u201CThe secLdap plugin failed to get the dn for the user notuser.u201D
Please advise us how to resolved this internal error if we want to SSO with custom LDAP !!
    Thanks & regards,
    Herries E

    Hi,
Herrie, Roland is correct, OpenLDAP is not supported and you can run into problems if you want to escalate issues in the future. The customer must have that into account.
However, LDAP is pretty standard and usually you just need to make sure that the attribute mappings is correct.
Are users correctly created when you map an LDAP group?
Are you able to manually authenticate using LDAP? You can use the CMC page and select authentication LDAP
When you have confirmed that LDAP manual authentication is working, you can set up Trusted Authentication. Check first that the system is working just using QUERY_STRING:
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1593628
When trusted auth is confirmed to work, you can configure the parameters that Radiant users to pass the user: cookies, web session, etc.

  • Discoverer Viewer/Plus does not work with Custom EUL owned by APPS user

I am facing a unique issue with one of my customers. They have a custom EUL named XX_EUL_US and this does not allow connecting through discoverer viewer or discoverer plus.
I have worked with custom EULS before at other customers and this was never the case. I am being told that this issue is happening as the EUL owner is APPS instead of some other user. Is this the case? Can discoverer viewer not be used with EULs owned by apps user?
Please not that the Default EUL in ICX profiles is set to this EUL and no other EUL profiles are set.
    Appreciate any thoughts on this.

    Hi,
I am not sure what you mean when you say you have a "custom EUL named XX_EUL_US". The EUL table should be created in a schema named XX_EUL_US. This will then be the EUL owner. You will then need to connect to Discoverer Administrator as the EUL owner and grant privileges to Apps users and/or responsibilities.
The user should then be able to connect to Discoverer Plus/View using their apps username, responsibility and password.
To be able to connect directly from an apps menu you need to have the ICX parameters set correctly. The ICX: Discoverer Default End User Layer Schema Prefix should be set to XX_EUL (without the _US). The ICX: Discoverer End User Layer Language Override should be set to US or not set at all.

  • Start IC WebClient with URL Parameters

    Hi,
we are currently implementing IC WebClient 5.0. One of the customer needs is it, to start the IC WebClient with a service order ID, so that the order is displayed immediately without searching and confirming an account. Is it possible to start the IC WebClient with URL parameters to solve that issue?
Thank you for you help in advance!
    Marcus Walena

    Hallo Marcus,
    This is currently not possible.
However, you don't need to always confirm the customer. You can use the agent inbox to do the search and navigate directly to the service order. However, if you want to do any processing after that, then you will need to identify the customer. The other option is to implement this yourself.
BTW: It is possible to navigate via a URL to the service order directly using PC UI.
    Regards,
    Shiv

The distribution file is not a WAR file, but a JAR file. I need to to just
do what it does if I don't specify any init-param's which is to pass them
when the servlet does get loaded, or load it as a servlet from a jar file
              instead of a bean.
How do I configure weblogics to run my servlet with init parameters.
              Thank You,
              Anthony Rizzolo

I'll answer my own problem. It turns out that you can't put multiple
              <param-name> and <param-value> pairs within a single <init-param>. I
assumed that you could since none of the examples had more than one
parameter I didn't realize that you had to specify multiple <init-param>
tags if you had multiple parameters.

  • How to find custom parameters and its values?

    Hi,
Please let me know how to find the list of custom parameters with its possible values and its use in programs?
    Thanks.

There is no validation for the values that can be input so you can put anything in the value field. For example, try "BUK" and
then a value for a company code you know does not exist.
When you run a transaction with that it will default that value.

  • Using Custom Parameters

Hi, I have been asked to ensure that the isolation level is set to read uncommitted when a business objects query is executing. I have had a read around the forums and it appears that this should be possible by using the custom parameters in the universe but I have'nt been able to get it to work. Using XIR2, I have a universe set up pointing at AdventureWorks on SQL Server 2005 and the report is based on this. The parameter I have set is called ConnectINIT and I have given it the value of "SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL READ UNCOMMITTED". In order to test the results I have created an object ('Isolation Level') that contains the select statement
(select transaction_isolation_level from sys.dm_exec_requests where command = 'SELECT')
so in my report I am expecting to see this object return 0 for all rows if the isolation level is 'Read Uncommitted'. However it is returning 2. The sql generated by Business Objects is:
    SELECT
      HumanResources.Employee.Title,
      Person.Contact.FirstName,
      Person.Contact.LastName,
      Person.Address.AddressLine1,
      Person.Address.AddressLine2,
      Person.Address.City,
      Person.Address.PostalCode,
      Person.Contact.Phone,
      Person.Contact.EmailAddress,
(select transaction_isolation_level from sys.dm_exec_requests where command = 'SELECT')
    FROM
      HumanResources.Employee,
      Person.Contact,
      Person.Address,
      HumanResources.EmployeeAddress
    WHERE
      ( HumanResources.Employee.EmployeeID=HumanResources.EmployeeAddress.EmployeeID  )
      AND  ( HumanResources.Employee.ContactID=Person.Contact.ContactID  )
      AND  ( HumanResources.EmployeeAddress.AddressID=Person.Address.AddressID  )
Can someone tell me if this is a valid test, and offer some advice on what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    Colin

my understanding was that these parameters only worked with Oracle not with SQLServer. I am open to correction.

  • How to continue transition rendering with custom dialog open

    Hi,
I'm working on a plugin for some custom transitions (currently for CS6/CC on Windows).
I'm using a custom dialog (hasCustomDialog in PiPL) during esSetup to set the transition parameters. While the dialog is open the execution of Premiere is halted until the dialog gets closed.
The problem is, while I'm fiddling with the parameters I can't see changes in the program monitor and I don't get any feedback from Premiere.
I tried to make the dialog non-blocking but then Premiere didn't rerender the frames when I changed something in the dialog.
Does anybody know if it is possible to keep the dialog open and still have Premiere actively updating the rendered view?
    Regards,
    Philipp Stelzer

    Hi Zac,
    thanks for your answer.
Currently I'm using a modal dialog to set up my parameters and the parameters are corretly applied after I close the dialog.
But I'd like to keep the dialog open to see the changes directly without reopening the dialog each time I want to tweak a value. Is that possible with a custom dialog?
I'll take a look at the new transition extensions, but I'm already working on this plugin for a few month and my dialog and the transition effects are already quite extensive. So, I don't know if it is possible to port everything to the new extensions (at least not in reasonable time).

    Philipp

  • Passing custom parameters to activities at runtime (PFE in OBW904)

    Hello,
does anybody know, how to pass custom parameters (from the start activity) to external activities. Specially I need a reference to the current task instance (e.g. the unique item key) within a shell script.
At the time now, I've to wrap the external call in a custom pl-tranformation. There I can get the start parameter with parameter binding. Is that the right way?
Is there a OWB runtime API? It w'd be nice, to have it for the dynamic change of custom actitvity attributes (for instance the filename of the "file_exist"-activity).
    Ralf

    Hello Igor,
1st: thanks for your fast reply.
The customer uses the OWB904821 with Solaris 28 at the server side and a NT-Client. I test some cases with a W2k-Laptop and a local DB-Installation. We use both the RDBMS V.9203. The installation was successful.
We want to call shell scripts (as external activities) from a process flow (to isolate a couple of OS related steps and because of the limitations of the email and file_exists-activity).
In the Data Warehouse we have different schedules of the process flow. With every run of a shell script we've to identify the current incarnation (or instance) of the process flow. Internally there is the auditing task id, but I don't know how to reference it and I think, we should not use it in the application.
In the standalone Workflow-Version we can use the item key parameter in the API-functions for this purpose. I look for a way to pass such a unique start value to an ext. activity.

  • Filter af:outputText  value with some parameters before loading component

I use jdeveloper 10.1.3 with web adf components.
I want to show outputText component with some custom Object (item),
    <af:outputText value="#{bindings.item}">
but before showing this component on the page , during runtime, this item object must be filtered with some parameters and then returned some string ( convert item object to string with parameters during runtime, before loading this outputText component).
    How can I do this?
Maybe it needs some back beans or I am thinking to create custom component like outputText ,but how to do ?
    what is optimal disizion?
can someone help me or someone can send some documentation?

    Hi,
When u will bind Output Text with some method in Backing bean u will get a set(),get() methods along with a CoreOutputText variable, u can initialized the variable , and if u want to check any condition then before setting the value then check the condition in the constructor of the backing bean and then change the CoreOutputText value accordingly, which will set the corresponding value,in the UI

  • FLVPlayback to FMS onConnect() custom parameters

    FLVPlayback custom params
Can anyone please help me with this problem? How do I pass custom parameters to FMS using a FLVPlayback just like
I can with NetConnection.onConnect()? e.g. Normally I pass custom params to FMS like this:
    netConnection.connect("rtmp://mydomain.com...", param1, param2, ... .etc);
How do I pass param1... etc. to FMS if I'm using an FLVPlayback component?
    Thank you!

Thank's for the answer. I will try that!

  • Custom Parameters

    Hi All,
Did any one worked on "Custom Parameters"?
How to use it, and for what is the use of it?

    praveen Jr,
These parameter is basically to change the default query execution properties for the universe, like inserting a hint for oracle to change from Cost base optimizer to a Rule based optimizer or a Connect Init for a init parameter while connecting to a database..
The values will be very database specific .. to use these all you would need to do is create a new entry and then define if its a Hint or a ConnectInit in the name and then assign the hint value in the value.
To know more about what are the Hints that you can use in orcale refer the link below... Remember its a very database specific thing..
    Optimizer Hints
    here is a sample hint
    ALL_ROWS
The ALL_ROWS hint explicitly chooses the cost-based approach to optimize a statement block with a goal of best throughput (that is, minimum total resource consumption).
    Value : /*+ ALL_ROWS */

  • How do I add URI web link with custom tooltip like "CLICK HERE TO UPDATE" instead of URI web link in tooltip.

How do I add URI web link with custom tooltip like "CLICK HERE TO UPDATE" instead of URI web link in tooltip.

You've probably found an answer to this by now, but I think this has been addressed in another forum -- The link below suggested using a button and adding the tooltip to the button.
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/304974?start=0&tstart=0
Sounds like it would work but I haven't actually tried it.
    Good luck~!
