Opened my iTunes and everything was gone

I turned my laptop on just before and clicked to open my itunes only to find it empty and completely wiped clean. I cant afford to lose my 3000 songs and all the bought apps.... someone please help i have no idea how to get everything back onto it! No one will help me from the apple company and i really am beginning to stress. Is there any way it is backed up and i can restore the itunes to its original state? it just doesnt make sense for it all to be gone, just like that.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps youshouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

Good morning. Getting notifications that you are close to exceeding your allowance can certainly be alarming. It would be my pleasure to help put your mind at ease.
I understand you are not streaming movies, music, etc. Which these features will use a lot of data. Are you using the Mobile Hotspot on your phone. This may also cause you to exceed your data allowance quickly if you do not power if off after you are done using the feature. To turn off mobile hostpot tap settings>general>personal hotspot>off. Do you have any third party applications that you have installed that may be running a lot of data?
To ensure applications are not consistently running in the background do the following press the menu button at the bottom of your phone twice. All the open apps will then appear. Select and hold the bottom of the screen. A minus sign will then appear in the top left of each app. Select each minus sign to close out the application.

Has anyone ever gotten a MacBook pro with *********** pre loaded on it? I went into itunes, and everything was empty except for movies where there were three 15 second pornographic videos.

As I stated in the title, I ordered my Macbook Pro from apple online. I have had it for 4 days now and I was looking to transfer all of my songs from my mac mini to my macbook.
I opened up itunes and all of the categories were blank except the movies, and there were 3 of the same clips there. It was a 15 second video that involved a guy, a girl and a slip-n-slide.
I have concerns as to what else is on this thing as far as viruses and other pornographic videos, even illegal material. I was also hoping my daughter can use this for school. The last thing I would want is for her to be doing something and stumble upon a file that would surely be inappropriate.
Any advice?

Yeah, unless she backs up the iphone to the itunes on her original computer before syncing again. Backing up will create a backup of the camera roll, so this shouldn't be a problem.

I plugged in my iphone to my mom's computer for charging and all my pictures are now on her computer and off my iphone.
The photos imported by her Mom's computer were deleted from the Camera Roll after the import process was completed. If she updates her iPhone's backup now, it will be updated with a blank Camera Roll on the iPhone.
The question was how to get the photos back onto the phone. What I said would have worked.
And what you provided would have transferred these photos back to her iPhone in the Photo Library preventing her from importing the photos with her computer. And if there are any photos on her iPhone that were transferred from her computer or regardless, the photos transferred from her Mom's computer to her iPhone via the iTunes sync process will be deleted from her iPhone's Photo Library as the first step when selecting to transfer any photos from her computer to her iPhone.

I moved all the files from the itunes folder to the library and it worked for most of my files. BUT, many are still missing, others are duplicated. Then, when I pull he missing files individually to the iTunes library, they won't transfer. Then, other files disappear after they are played. The only thing we changed is adding a hard drive for additional space after itunes telling us we were running out of hard drive space. (The new itunes format didn't help either) Our library is over 1TB. Please help! this is very frustrating!

I downloaded 4.o and it booted 3.16. Now MAC OS can't open 4.0 and everything is gone. How can I get the old version back or get 4.9 to work. I run Imac 10.4.11. Thanks

If you mean iOS, select the iOS device in iTunes then click Update.

In iTunes 11 uncheck the preferences setting in in the iTunes Preferences panel "Advanced > Copy Files to iTunes Media folder when adding to Library"

Try going to file-devices-restore from backup, if you dont have a backup then you may redownload past purchases (movies, music, apps, etc) from their respective stores by visiting "purchased" section.

When I open the Bonusprint software there is a window on the side with 'LIBRARIES' at the top and I can access my photos and albums from here. I can still see all my photos in the various albums etc., underneath and when I click on them they open as thumbnails underneath but iPhoto itself is still paralysed even after I quit the Bonusprint software.

Lost sync data - said error while syncing, and next time, everything was gone

I was using sync with my sync account chrisbuchholz (this chrisbookwood is an old support account i had) and it worked fine. Had about 24 bookmarks synced. But then I noticed it said - down in the corner of the statusbar - "error while syncing". I didnt think much of it, but the next time I opened firefox, all my bookmarks was gone, and i was left with the default set of bookmarks. I tried pressing the "sync now" button and whatnot but it didnt help.
Then I tried reinstalling firefox and setting up sync again, but i still only get the default set up bookmarks.
Can you please recover my bookmarks and tell me what is wrong?
By the way, I am using Firefox 4 beta 6 on Fedora 14.

I had the same problem and I fixed it as following (See if it's the same case for you) :
1. Goto Tools > Options.
2. Under Advanced, select the Network Tab.
3. Click on Settings in the "Connection" box (open connection settings).
4. Check if "Automatic Proxy Configuration URL" is selected. If it is so, select "No proxy" instead or manually enter your proxy if you are using one.
The option "Automatic Proxy Configuration URL" was the culprit for me and some others as well and selecting "No proxy" instead cured our problems. It is a bug and has already been reported on Bugzilla as you can see here :
