Some confusion happens, please clearify experts.
Thanks & Regards,

  • Error while transporting Openhub (BI7)

    Hi Gurus,
I am getting an error while transporting the open hub. In the dev system it worked perfectly but when i transport it to quality, it is showing the following error.
"Unable to activate table /BIC/OHZxxxxxx ."
When i checked the table in quality it says that /BIC?OHZxxxxx-0UNIT ( Reference field ) does not exists. But 0UNIT is there in the DSO on which i developed the openhub and the infoobject 0unit is also active in quality system.
    Why this error is happening?
    Regards,
    Raghavendra.

    Hi Raghavendra,
There are chances of missing some objects in transport request wile assigning objects to request...please check the objects list and open hub structure.
and also plsease check the 0Unit field status in Quality system.if it is in modified status means make it it active ststus.
Please create one more transport request and validate the tr objects...

  • OpenHub Alignment issue

    Hi SAP Team,
I have issue related to OpenHub document, the position or the order or the sequence of data fields are not in sync with how i created the OpenHub destination.
Also after saving the new OpenHub destination created out of cube/dso ,revisiting it shows in different order and is not in the correct sequence.
Do let me know the reason or some suggestion on that.
    Thanks!

    user567159,
Yes. So, there are a couple of options afh:tableLayout layouts components out with a traditional html table. You can also nest af:panelGroups, which will lay components out as divs. If you are looking for a center aligned form layout, try af:panelForm. Hope that helps.

  • Number of fields in Openhub not displayed correctly

    HI all,
I have created an OpenHub destination with destination type FILE. Created a logical file and assigned the same to the Physical path.
After I load the data to the Openhub, I cannot find  all the columns what are present in the OpenHub.out of 99, only few like 63 to 86 are being displayed in the output.
    1. Will there be any restriction to the number of fields displayed in the Application server. \
    2. The final number of columns are not consistent and its different for different records in the same data load.
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Best Regards

    hi check this error
    check the transformation mapings
or check this may help you
Error message: 'Destination not supported' (Error Code RSBO 102)
Firstly the corrupt Open Hub destinations need to be repaired. To do this you need to check the table RSBOHDEST, for all Open Hub Destination entries where the field DESTYPE is initial/empty or is equal to 'FILE', you must change the DESTYPE for such entries to TAB in the table RSBOHDEST.

  • How to remove OpenHub headings BI7

    Hi,
I'm using OpenHub for data extraction from infocube but there's always heading on my extraction file. It's looks like this :
    Directory:  /data/out/test
    Name:       OHUB_TEST.CSV
The first data are only on line 4 and this heading seems to be repeat every 60.000 lines.
How can i remove this 3 lines ?
    Thanks for answer,
    François.
After several tests, it seems that the presence of the heading is depending on the destination type and the way to recover the file.
If i use the AL11 transaction, there's some headings, if i use an FTP software, there's no headings.
Edited by: François Greiner on Aug 26, 2009 8:37 AM

It works in 3.2 as well.
    However, I have another issue.
Few of the column headings are derived dynamically using the items defined in the page and these are all gone.
For e.g :P4_YEAR is assigned a value as 'YTD'||<Year selected from the filter> and is refrenced in column heading as &P4_YEAR.
Is there anyway I get back the dynamic column headings after placing the following at page HTML header in apex 3.2
    <style type="text/css">
    table.apexir_WORKSHEET_DATA th div {text-decoration:none!important}
    </style>

  • What is the limitations of an Openhub

    Hi
When we use openhub what is the limitations.
Is there any limitations of an Openhib
    shankar

    Hi BI,
The Open Hub service enables you to distribute data from an SAP BW system into external data marts, analytical applications, and other applications. With this, you can ensure controlled distribution using several systems. The central object for the export of data is the InfoSpoke. Using this, you can define the object from which the data comes and into which target it is transferred.
No real technical limitation if you are looking for bulk transfers
You may have to manipulate a datamodel to suit the scenario as the OLAP processor is not used
SO if you have complex requirements you may have to create a query to APD into a DSO then open hib from there
And naturally if APD starts to have memory problems then you use the infoprovider read function module to do have an ABAP to read data then into a DSO and open hub out
I dont really use open hub off standard cubes as there is always a OLAP requirement in the extraction fo data
Naturally if you require just to dump raw data out then you could open hub of the cubes - but in that instance your global IT architects may ask why you are dumping data to a third party tool where they could come in on OLAP BAPIs etc at run time to access BW ie extra front ends
The functionality will work with extraction to a database table.
    In BW 3.5:
The assignment of Open Hub Destination and InfoSpoke is an one to one relationship. One InfoSpoke
should not be used in more then one process chain. For the extraction, the database table must
contain the technical key. This option must be set.
An InfoSpoke should be a used at most in one process chain.
    In NW2004s:
It is possible to assign one Open Hub Destionation to more then one DTP.
One DTP can be a process step of more then one process chain.
In the runtime only one request can be loaded into the Open Hub Destination. The next load can
started, if the status of this request is set to u2018Greenu2019.by the 3rd party application.

  • How to create filters for OPENHUB?

    hi experts,
how can i create filters for OPENHUB Destination for the below scenario.
Make some kind of u201Clogicu201D to support a filter on an open hub. E.g. only data from month 2011-04  and until today are u201Copen hubu2019edu201D each day and data before 2011-04 must be u201Copen hubu2019ed u201D e.g. each weekend.
The filter on the open hub can be different from open hub to open hub. We must be able, to filter one or more fields from the open hub.

  • Process Chain Component for Deleting Openhub Destination

I have an openhub that places the results of a DSO on AL11.
I created / scheduled a process chain for updating the file.
I'd like to modify the process chain and add a step to delete the file on AL11 before I run the DTP.
    Is this possible?
    Mike

    Hi
Can achieve this with ABAP Process -- by calling FM -- EPS_DELETE_FILE (or) Command delete dataset file.
Basis Team can also help via writing Unix script which can be executed via SM49 to delete the File.
    To access the file..
    *-c list in time order.
    CONCATENATE 'ls -c' p_fin INTO w_list_commandin
    SEPARATED BY space.
    CONCATENATE w_list_commandin '/.' INTO w_list_commandin.
CALL unix list command - will populate itab_file_list ITAB
CALL 'SYSTEM' ID 'COMMAND' FIELD w_list_commandin ID 'TAB'
    FIELD it_file_list-sys.
    To delete..
Remove the file once it is processed
    CONCATENATE 'rm' it_file_list-file_name
    INTO w_runcmd SEPARATED BY space.
send command to unix to move item file
CALL 'SYSTEM' ID 'COMMAND' FIELD w_runcmd.
    Hope it helps

  • OpenHub Destination

I have created the OpenHub destination and can extract a DSO down to my PC in .csv format, however I want to be able to save the file there in an excel format.
So I was looking around and I saw this function module GUI_DOWNLOAD.
The question then is do I need to create a new RFC so that I can specify a new type of file or do I need to modify the destination "file" so that it allows an Excel file type?

You should be able to import straight into Excel:
    1. Open Excel
    2. Create a new blank sheet
    3. Select Data -> Import External Data -> Import Data...
    4. Select your CSV file and click on Open
    5. Choose type "Delimited" and optionally select a start row other than 1 if you have header information that you want to skip. Also select the right encoding and click on next.
    6. Choose your delimiter (e.g. comma) and the right text qualifier (usually "). Click next.
    7. Select each column and define its data format using the drop down menu. Click on Finish.
Please note that unless you are using Office 2007, Excel has a limitation of about 65000 rows.
    Hope this helps,
    Dennis

  • SAP XI for openhub services

    hi guys
i created OPENhub services as file as destination. i want to push this file to other DW. I am just curios how i can use SAP PI wil be useful?
how to configure SAPPI? from my application server how i can move the file to  other data warehouse?
anyone used sap xi for open hub services?
    please advise

I would agree with Raghavendra that simply FTPing from your BW server is the easiest method.... unless where you are has a standard of only using PI.  There are a number of ways to go about the PI integration but typically you could create ABAP proxies to do the communication.  The only time I have ever done this was when we needed to push data out in an xml schema.  So then we sent it over to PI via proxy and PI did the conversion to xml.  But it really is more overhead going through PI for simple outbound transfers, in my opinoin.
    Thanks
    Eric

  • Technical Name of Openhub in logical file name

    Hi All,
I am creating a few open hub flatfiles for a client. I want to use logical file names to create the files on the application server.
I want to create one logical file name which creates a file like <"Open Hub Technical name">_<DATE>_<TIME>.csv.
Now i can't find a way to include the openhub technical name in the file name.
It says in F1 that i can use a function module named FILENAME_EXIT_* that will be called in the function module FILE_GET_NAME.
Does anybody know about the coding that can be used for this? I have just basic ABAP knowledge on this one. Or is there perhaps another way on this.
    Let me know!
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    F Geldof.

    Hi guys,
Thanks for your answers first of all.
I don't want to store the technical name of the openhub in the logical file name....i want this to be determined dynamically, depending on the openhub that is used with this logical file name.
I was wondering were i can fetch the openhub technical name during the execution of the DTP on the openhub / when also the function module FILE_GET_NAME is being ran.
    Let me know!
    Thanks in advance!

  • Using OpenHub Unix to export to SQL Server

    Hi,
I have SAPBW 3.1(DB2 database) on a Unix machine and I need to export data to a SQL Server database on Windows.  There are general issues with accessing SQL Server from a Unix machine (ODBC drivers), but what I would like to know is, does this apply using OpenHub?
    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
    Kind Regards,
    Lee.

    Hi Lee,
You have a good point but I think it should be ok if you take care with the reads/writes. SAP does not encourage non-SAP programs to directly read or write to tables for numerous reasons: performance impact, read consistency, locking, change management, DDIC consistency, etc.
As long as your program can ensure the above, I personally would not see an issue. Because of the above most people use some ABAP code to copy or move the table entries. The ABAP code could then be integrated into the Process chains to ensure the execution at the right time.
    Just some thoughts,
    Mike.

  • OpenHub using Infoset as source

    Hi gurus,
which is the best approach to use an infoset as a source of an OpenHub destination? Any experiences on this?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Inaki,
You can create openhub destination based on Infoset, I dont' have any realtime exp. but I just read throug tech. documents,
    1) Create a Open hub destination, on the same screen it will ask you the template. This template will be used to select the fields for your openhub destination.
    2) Once you select all the fields and create open hub destination activate it and goto context menu from RSA1 to create transformation on this open Hub destination.
    3) Select the source of transformation as InfoSet, do the field mapping.
    4) Create DTP and you are ready to do data loading.
    Regards,
    Durgesh.

  • Openhub

    Hi,
I need to extract data from SAP BW to external systems. Datasources includes two ods's and two infoobjects. I knew we can do this by open hub extraction. can we create one output file from all the datasources combined (.csv or a db file). can some one please explain the way to do it. I know we can create infospokes for each datasource.
    Thanks.
    Ravi

    Hi,
To create Openhub use RSBO tcode and create, else, you create Multiprovider and then on the top od MP, you create Report and then Dump the result into application server..and then using RSCRM_BAPI you can schedule the report to dump the result.
