Opening a 2nd image gets PLACED in the open image

Using Ps CS5 12.1. Win7 62bit
If I have a file open in PS and then I drag a file from Bridge to the PS icon in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, the image opens in the previously opened file as if I had done a File | Place command, instead of just opening in a new window as has always been the case before. Can't see how to turn this 'feature' off - any help much appreciated.

Okay I think I've sorted it out, although it doesn't seem to make sense to me...
In Edit | Preferences | Interface I have unchecked "Open Documents as Tabs" AND "Enable Floating Document Window Docking", and in Edit | Preferences | General the option to "Place or Drag Raster Images as Smart Objects" remains unchecked.
It now seems to work as before, I can now drag from Bridge into Photoshop and each image opens up independantly of the others.

Hi There,
I've been using the test version of Muse for the part 10 days and have really been enjoying it! I'm about to launch my first site with it.
But! In my design mode, all the correct images are on the right page, and then often when I go to the "preview mode" or the "preview page in browser" or publish the website as a test, then it seems like the wrong photos (from other pages on my website) will then be displayed in another photo's spot.
As if, some bug caused the assets link's to get mixed-up when I export the website to view it live.
Here is my example. (NOTE - for both these pages, scroll to the SIDE, not down).
Here is one page on the website, notice this is the page for the WIRED store, all the images in here should be there

Now look at this different page for a different entry, but, some of the images from the WIRED store page (above) are now placed into this entry?????

Note, there should be OTHER images in the place where the image that says "WIRED" in blue is, same goes for the bottom half of that first image, in design mode, there is another image there.
As mentioned, in my "design" mode the photos are all in the correct places, it's only when I get to the preview/export modes where it seems the links to the assets gets mixed up.
Anybody have any idea about this bug or what I can do to change it?

I am having the same issue. I have three layered elements as three columns in the body of the page. When I add the farthest right element it pushes the other left elements to the bottom of the page. There are aren't any other elements on the page.
Is this a CSS issue? I thought about exporting to Dreamweaver and fixing it there but would like to take the easy route first.

I'm still new to this and my boss has dumped this chaotic
site onto me to fix. I'm new to Dreamweaver (MX 2004) although I
did take a course in it back in May and haven't done anything to
practice on since! This is a very different system than the kind i
used to do and used to being able to place new images into the site
image folder but haven't figured out how to do this after
researching all instructions, help menu and book, etc. What am i
missing here?

One way- place them in the folder you want manually from the
desktop. Open
the folder and put them there.
Another way- within dreamweaver.
Insert the image. If it's not already within this site
folder, dw will put
up a dialog box asking you want to copy the image to the site
folder.
If you've picked a default images folder in this site
definition, dw will
copy it. If you haven't picked a default images folder,
you'll be shown a
"browse to file" dialog box and you manually pick where to
save the file.
(unless you've already put a check in the "never show me
this again")

I assume these are POP accounts and all computers are set to remove from Server after downloading.
So on the non dominant ones... Mail Preferences>Accounts, highlight an account, Advanced tab, uncheck remove from Server, just have the main dominant one remove from server.
Or get/setup IMAP accounts.

Make a temporary backup of your library (if you don't already have a backup of it) and launch iPhoto with the Command +Option key held down and rebuild the library with options #1, 2, 3 and 6 selected.

Downloaded Firefox 4 and now I can't get rid of the disk image.

I downloaded Firefox 4.0 on my Mac (Intel-based laptop) a week or so ago, followed the directions (moved the one image to the applications folder image), but now it won't let me get rid of the disk image. Trash won't let me empty it since Firefox is using it, and if I quit Firefox to do that , another one appears when I relaunch the program. Applications folder has Firefox 4.0 in it, but I can't make this annoying .dmg go away. What to do?

That happens if the server sends the file as text/plain.
You can see this if you open "Tools > Page Info > General": Content-Type: text/plain

HT4788 The image I placed in the rtf document does not showup.

I can create and veiw a (PolicyBanner) rtf document just fine. However, the image I placed in the rtf document does not show. (I've tried both jpeg & png) How was the image placed in the sample doc?

Needs to be saved as a .rtfd
or export as .rtfd and go from there.

Adding Indicators & Controls from the diagram - why do they get placed off the current screen?

When I place a button, indicator, etc. from the diagram, it gets placed on the front panel nowhere near the existing stuff. What am I missing?

I don't know the exact algorithms used when LabVIEW places a control or indicator on the front panel, but I can tell you what I have observed so far:
It seems that the new controls and indicators are always placed below all other controls and indicators. There may be additional rules, but this seems to be the most common occurrence I have seen.
If you want more control over where your controls and indicators are placed, then you should created them manually from the palette before you begin your diagram. This is good practice, but not always possible.

Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
Restart your computer.
See if that resolves the issue and gets your video playing again.

Picture Library : upload image with same name overwrite the image in thumbmail or WebVersion view but not the actual image link points to the old image

I am facing a wired issue with Picture Libraries in SharePoint.
We created a custom field and added it to UserInfo list, the column based on custom field lets user upload their personal images to a Picture Library with the name <User ID>.<Image Extension> e.g. 1.jpg where UserID is internal Listitem ID of the UserInfo list and set its URL to the field value which we use to display the image on our custom user profile and some other WebParts.
If the user uploads a different image, it will overwrite the existing one it keeping the same name.
The field worked perfectly with sites using widows Based authentication, but as we move the field to sites with form based authentication we find that the field is able to upload the image properly first time but on each successive upload, although a new image gets uploaded with the name userid.imagextension and is shown in the allitems.aspx page in the thumbnail view and in the picture preview on the dispform.aspx page, but the link next to the name field and the image shown on clicking the preview points to the old image.
To put it other way

Would show the updated image
but the actual URL

what’s even more strange is that even after deleting the image the url still shows the old image at

I confirmed the same by actually repeating the same exercise on a picture Library in the User Interface
Uploading an image say upload.jpeg in the picture library using SharePoint interface.
Then uploading a different jpeg image keeping the same name upload.jpeg again in the picture library.
In allitems.aspx thumbnail view and on dispform.aspx page preview filed image now show the newly uploaded image but when you click the preview image or click the link in the name field value it takes you back to the old image.
I have seen this issue on environment where we have enabled form based authentication and the issue is not seen on another server where we have wss with windows based authentication.
Has anyone noticed such behavior and is there any workaround to that!

I had the same issue.
In my case, Blob Cache was enabled for the web application in which the image issue was occuring.
I cleared blob cache, and after doing a hard refresh of my browser, the correct image was then displayed.
To clear blob cache, do the following:
Navigate to:
http://yourwebapp:port/yoursite/_layouts/objectcachesettings.aspx
Select: "Object Cache Flush" and "Force all servers in the farm to flush their object cache" check boxes
Click the OK button

When using the slide show widget does the "Thumbnail" image need to be the same image as the "Hero Image?"
I would like to keep my "Hero Image" I load into the widget, but would like to change its corresponding "Thumbnail" image to a different icon. Is it possible to use live type in MUSE as the icon and put it over the "Hero Image?" Thanks for the help!

I have figure out how to put in a different image into the thumbnail, but how do I replace it with a text box instead of an image. I would like to use websafe fonts as the thumbnail that triggers the Hero picture. Is this possible?

When I now use the cmd-tab shortcut to go to a different open application it madly scrolls through all the open applications and does not let me select one. Any ideas as to what might be wrong. It doesn't appear to be a sticking key?

Problem with the cmd-tab keyboard shortcut now cured with the latest software update, so the original problem must have been a software glitch.
