Opening a document window size

Not sure if this is a default or a setting somewhere. Whenever I open a document in Photoshop CC the window is cropping the image and I have to command 0 to make full size to document. Anyone know how to set the open document to the image size as a default? Its getting annoying…thanks

I have made an action to do this. Then in File > Scripts > Scripts Events Manager I have set it up to run this action when opening a file.
Does not work always when files are coming from ACR but normally any other file I open, automatically adjusts itself.

  • Fireworks won't remember the open/save as window size?

    Hi,
Fireworks won't remember the open/save as window size. It always displays the same small window size. Deleting the preferences hasn't helped?
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the response.
    Yes good point. It's Fireworks CS6 v 12.0.0.274 on Mac OSX v10.9.5.
I didn't have this issue with CS5.5 on 10.9.5, only started with CS6.
Anyway, you're probably right re living with it.
Maybe someone has experienced the same issue and found the reason.
    Thanks again.

  • Open a document, image size and script alert window pop up

Everytime I open a document in Photoshop CS5, these 2 dialog boxes (Image Size, Script Alert) would pop up. I would need to cancel 2 times to start editing. Is there a setting I can disable this?
    Thanks,

Sound the likely candidate to me, too.

  • Office Word/Atlantis won't open to correct window size

I'm really not sure if I'm posting this in the right place.
I am running Office 2007 and Atlantis Word Processor in Windows 7 and suddenly neither window for those programs is opening at the same size they always have before.  Using Office Word as an example this is the way the window has always opened before
when I start Office Word (this is my preferred work area as I have another window open beside it most of the time).
About a week ago for some reason this is how both programs open now.
Is there anyone who can tell me how to get Word/Atlantis to open the way it did before?  I have tried using the Start, right-click, Properties, open maximized method for Word but it didn't work.  I tried resizing the way I needed it and then closing
through the Office button.  It still opened exactly as in the second image.  Word will not open either maximized or in the configuration I originally had it opening in.  Atlantis will open to maximized but will not minimize to the correct configuration.
All other programs on my computer open maximized, Office Word seems to be the only thing that will not open to either maximized or the correct minimized configuration.  Any and all help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
Based on my knowledge, Windows 7 can restore the last window for Word. Regarding your issue, i find a solution which may be helpful to you.
    Start>All Programs>Microsoft Office 2010>Word 2010
Right click on Word 2010, choose Properties.
Open one Word file, resize the word to the previous state.
Choose run Normal window in Properties dialog box.
    Then click Apply, OK.

  • Opening separate documents/windows from a form

I am having an issue opening 2 separate documents from a 6i form (deployed on the web) that hopefully someone can shed some light on: From within a procedure, I make a call to WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT("\\file1.pdf",_BLANK) to open 'file1.pdf' in a separate window, which is a pre-created file stored on a server. Then, I immediately call RUN_PRODUCT("file2") to generate a 6i report in a another separate window. Both of the files/windows open fine. The problem occurs when the user goes to close the windows, if file1 (the one opened first) is closed before file2 then the application freezes and I have to shut it down. However, this does not occur when the window containing file2 is closed before file1. Why is this happening?

    Adam,
actually this shouldn't be the case. Have you tried with another Browser (e.g. IE instead of Netscape) to exclude Browsers from the equation?

  • When I open a document in InDesign CC the window extends underneath the panels.

Prior to CC, InDesign would open my document windows with the right edges of them stopping where the left edge of the panels start. Now it opens them with the windows extending underneath the panels. Any ideas on how to get them to open the old way? It's a minor inconvenience, but it's like a tiny splinter and has been bugging me for a while. Thanks.

Tried, no dice. Even tried closing all panels, then just opening one (Pages) to see if I could get that right. Nope. :-/
These screengrabs show the right side after I tried opening a new document. I made the changes with no documents opened.

  • Possible to change the window size of a CHM file, when first opened?

    Hi all,
Anyone knows if this is doable? I know lots of chm files that
open in different window sizes, suitable for their content. But
right now when I compile, it opens quite narrow, that I have to
    resize manually.
    Take care,
    Tim

    Hi Tim,
This is what I have done. In the Project Manager, expand the
Windows folder and double click the default window for your chm
file. This will open the window properties screen. There is a
checkbox that says something like "Remember Window Size" which you
can turn on. Regenerate your layout and view the resulting chm
file. It will be small and narrow still, but after you resize it
any subsequent builds in this layout will default to the size you
    set.
Hope this helps and if there is a better way please let me
    know!
    Cheers

  • Finder window size not saved when cmd+click

Hi. I'm not sure if anyone else is having this problem. I look through the forum but didn't find it posted.
I re-sized my finder to a certain size and have done the same to some other folder such that they are basically all different sizes. However, at some point, if I cmd+double click a folder to open it, the window size is reverted back to that of my home folder. I know this didn't happen in 10.5 and may have to do with the .DS_Store file. Anyways, it's an annoyance and any help would be appreciated. THanks.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Have you tried to repair your hard drive using Disk Utility? You will need to boot from your install disc, navigate to Disk Utility, and then select your hard drive and then "Repair Disk". Repair it until there is nothing left to repair.
Also, be sure you have adequate free space on your hard drive. 15% at least.
How old is your Mac, and does it still have the original hard drive? Hard drives typically have an average useful life of 3-5 years, and if yours is getting into this range (or even if it isn't), the hard drive could be beginning to fail.
To do a detailed check on the physical health of your hard drive, download and run this utility:
    http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/32454
You can download the demo and run it several times for free.
    Good luck!

  • Is it possible to make the document window not to hide behind the palettes?

Is it possible to make the document window not to hide behind the palettes (layers, paths etc) like in CS5? For instance if I want to make a correction in the right part of the image and zoom in, the window expand under the different palettes and I can no longer see the area which I want to correct without change the document window size. I don't want to use the Photoshop application fram because then I can't see stuff in other applications ID, mail an so on.

I have written about how to control various font sizes in Thunderbird here:
    http://www.ramsden.org.uk/9_Type_sizes.html
Generally, you shouldn't need to zoom; you can pre-set the display of message text.
To get straight to the point, you should probably try the https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/theme-font-size-changer/ add-on to address issues with the size of the message list font.

  • Missing zoom function - Zoom image to fit window size?

    Hi
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to zoom the image so it fits the current document window size? (Not Fit-To-Screen, as this will change the doc window size)

I don't think there is a button per se for this like there is for Fit to Screen, but can use any of the numerous zoom functions to make the document fit inside the document window.

    1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the div. The elements within this div have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the div and place a second div within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design.
