  • When open the jsp file in netbeans

if there is not pageEncoding="GBK",I save the jsp file and open it again,I find all Chinese is '???'. :(

When you use a non-ASCII page encoding the IDE cannot read the page encoding directive to find out what page encoding is used.
One solution is to put the encoding in the web.xml file.
To set the encoding in a web.xml file, you add a page-encoding element in the jsp-property-group whose URL pattern matches the file, such as in the following example:
    <jsp-property-group>
    <url-pattern>loginGBK.jsp</url-pattern>
    <page-encoding>GBK</page-encoding>
    </jsp-property-group>
If you are using NetBeans 3.5 you can right-click the node for the jsp file and choose Properties. In the Text ta of the properties sheet, you can set the encoding.

  • Date display in dd-mmm-yyyy format on opening a .jsp file as .xls

    Hi,
I am pretty new to Java and JSP, I have a problem,
There's an application in which the contents of a .jsp are to be displayed in excel format.
All the data are displayed in correct format except the dates.
The dates that are in the dd-MMM-yyyy format in the .jsp's are displayed as dd-mmm-yy in the .xls file.
    How to solve this?
    Thanks in Advance!

Maybe you need to configure that "application"? Or if you actually have access to the source code, then just take a look in it.
Without any more details about the "application" we can't help you any much further.
Generally, when you want to convert a Date or Calendar object to a human readable String, the SimpleDateFormat [1] is been used.

  • Error opening JSP files in Netweaver Developer Studio

    Hello,
When I try to open a *.jsp file in the Netweaver Developer Studio, I get the following error:
The ordinal 233 could not be located in the dynamic link library SHDOCVW.dll
When I click on OK for a couple of times (same message), I get the option to open the file.
    Then this message:

I can however open files with java extensions. It is also not project related, all jsp files react in the same way.
I am currently investigating what MS Windows service packs have been installed recently.
Does anyone know what it means or how this can be solved?

  • Cannot open .jsp files from browser

    Hi!
I cannot open .jsp files form the browser.(Some sample jsp files I downloaded open without any problem, only the ones I added, don't- they're in the same directory, with their java files in the web-inf folder.) I have jdk1.2.2,jswdk1.0.1,jsse1.0.1,jsdk2.1. Does the jswdk server support converting jsp to servlets? Also, what do I have to add to jdk classpath for my servlets to be invoked via jsdk? I am confused as to whether I on the jswdk server or the jsdk server for these files to work?

The error I get on the server while opening the jsp file is -------

Does anybody know how to open the War file in NWDS ??
And how to modify some JSP present in that application ???
    Thanks

    Hi KK
You will ot be able to open a WAR application deployed in NWDS . Alternatively you can open it using windows ity tools like winzip outside NWDS .
What you can do is you can create a Web module project and incude all the src including JSP's and change the reqd jsp and redeploy the application again with the changes
hope this helps, please do not forget to reward suitable points .

    Hi
i think there is a jar file named gnujaxp.jar in your classpath.
Remove that jar from classpath and try once
