Opening a swf file at a particular scene

I'm creating an interactive will have a button that I want to
open another swf file at a particular scene. Specifically, I want
to have 2 parallel files that have multiple scenes - I want to be
able to go to that same scene from the other file and back using a
button.
Any direction would be much appreciated!

I open image in CC 2014 in floating windows and find Photoshop floating windows are all about the same size depend on the image zide.  So different RAW sensor pixel counts open at different zoom percent windows are around the same size for my 4, 5, 8 and 16 MP raw images.   You could also set up a script open document event handler to use menu View fit on screen to increase the floating window size.   Without doing anything my 16MP image open at 25% zoom. 8mp image open at 33.3% zoom. 4MP open at  50% zoom and 5MP at 33.3% window is smaller then the others the 50% zoom on the 4MP the largest  the 8MP and 16MP about the same size 16MP a little larger the th 8mp different zoom.
I have see other write about having your issue. If it bothers you look at Photoshop Script event manager.  Menu File>Scripts>Script Event manager

when i try to open a .swf file, it goes to adobe device central as default.  i can't seem to open it in adobe flash????

You likely need to change the default application(s) assigned for opening files to point to the new ones.  HOw you do that depends on which operating system you have. If you search Google you should be able to find out how to change the default programs for different files.

  • How make a button open a .swf file in a new window?

How do I make a button open a swf file in a seperate window
new window (like if i opened to swf file seperately)
    Anyone know ?

well you can publish the the other FLA, which would give you
an HTML file, upload that and the SWF then link to the SWFs' HTML
    page.

  • Flash CS6 cant open play SWF files without importing and destroying them, how can I get around this?

Flash CS6 can't open play SWF files without importing and destroying them, how can I get around this?
I'm just trying to preview an swf file in flash like I have with all previous versions.

What if my SWF loads external content from an online server?
Not only does the current flash player prohibit such activity, it doesn't even pop open an error anymore saying there was an error connecting to an online source.
Normally, I would simply drag the SWF into Flash and all connections would go through.  I could see traces, errors, and experience no issues.
Now I can't even do that.  So what then?  You have crippled a fundamental use of the program, but THANK GOD we have that deco brush that nobody asked for.
And for the record, the nature of my work benefits from not necessarily allowing the Flash Player to connect to online content.  The error it pops up?  That's simply another method of error checking that I require.  Updating the Flash Player options is not an option.
Why would you even remove this key feature from Flash anyways?  It's been there for years ... has the ratio of people importing SWFs (a rather useless gesture in an increasing OOP world) really outweighed the people using Flash as a testing environment that much?

  • Firefox 3.6 when I open a SWF file, a wrong mouse click, it show a recursive open window until the PC resource is used up or the system hang up, I try to reinstall firefox but not solved.

Windows XP SP3, flash player 10.2, Shockwave 11.5.9.240 , when I open a SWF file with firefox 3.6.15, it shows some options to choose action and I made a wrong click. The firefox nightmare is a "open recursive windows" until the system hang. When I use Internet Explorer 8 to open it, it is fine, Try to uninstall firefox and reinstall it, but in vain, how can I restore it?

You don't have the Shockwave Flash Player installed for Firefox. You may have the ActiveX version installed for IE, but Firefox needs the Plugin version. And Shockwave 11.5.9.240 that is installed for Firefox isn't the same thing.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here: <br />
    [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. <br />
''Or maybe get the previous '''r102''' version from here. IMO, there's problems with the latest version of Flash.'' <br />

Save it to your Desktop.<br />
    2. Close Firefox using File > Exit <br />
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed, <br />
    {XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
    3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
    * On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen). <br />

    It's normally adobe flash format.
If you don't want to install flash (Lion does not install it) use the 'google chrome' browser which has it's own flash player.
I use Lion > Safari > with No Flash installed and just use the develop menu option to open the page in chrome if necessary..

  • How do I open a PDF file at a particular book mark

Is it possible to create a hyperlink (shortcut) in a program, such as excel or word, that when clicked would open a PDF file in adobe (pro in my case) and open that file at a particular bookmark in that file.
I couldn't find anything in the help file or here (I admit I only briefly looked).
I'm not sure if there would be some kind of command line option that pass a bookmark on to adobe so it would go to that bookmark when the file was opened.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks, Stan

    Stan,
There is a thread on using named destinations - see http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bc5423d/32, "Linking to within a PDF using named destinations." Many issues and tips are discussed in that thread. Included is a mention of a product that is supposed to convert to convert bookmarks to named destinations automatically. --GMc

You should be able to use very similar code - buy instead of
    pointing to the
swf directly, it's likely you need to point, instead, to the
    html file that
is usually published with the swf.
Without seeing the exact code you are talking about with
    DemoShield, I'm
reluctant to offer you any alternative. Simply put, a
    standard link pointing
to the correct html file should work. You can get clever and
    use JavaScript
if you have specific needs, but the standard HTML link should
    be fine for
    your needs.
Oh - maybe you should look at Captivate's Manu builder, as
    perhaps this will
offer what you are looking for.

  • Tutorials in SWF output format prompted "Do you trust this content to connect to the Internet?" when opening another SWF file

    Please help.
I have a tutorial with in the output format of SWF and HTM. I have click boxes that On Success will open another tutorial (SWF file). When I click on the click box, I get prompted “Do you trust this content to connect to the Internet?” by the Adobe Flash Player. I can click “Yes” and continue, however I don’t want the user to get prompted for every click box with this action (there is one for every tutorial and navigation buttons to each tutorial). I also think that SCORM can't handle the prompt, because when I run the tutorial from the LMS the click boxes do not work at all.
I have tried selecting “Always allow” in the Global Security Settings panel as per the instruction on this website: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.htm l.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
I wanted to add on a question to this posting.... I believe Rod's instructions must be followed on a per-PC basis, correct? Is there any way to disable this globally when/after I publish the files rather than telling 1000 users across the globe that they have to change their security settings? I don't think so from the article (very thorough) but just hoping there's something I can do?!
    Thank you!
    Michele

  • HREF to open Captivate swf file with Flash Player

    Hello all,
I am new to the Captivate world as well as the new window
    options within html code.
Currently I am using Captivate to re-create and update a
DemoShield CBT and woudl like to call the .swf file the same way
the DemoShiled file is called within the HTML. The DemoSheild file
is called using a javascript function within a href tag.
Is it possible to do the same with Captivate files? Create a
link that will open a new browser window with the .swf being played
by flash player? (similar to simply double clicking the file within
    the folder).
