Opening a WAD in BI7

Hello I have one Web template developed in BW3.5. However, when I open BI 7 WAD I am not able to see any of the web templates.
What could be the possible reason and how can I resolve it.
Or may be anybody could tell me the 0ANALYZER name for BI 7

Hi,
I am not sure but is 0ANALYZER the name of default web templates for running queries in web in 3.5?
The corresponding WebT in BI 7.0 is called 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN.

Problem with web template (WAD ) in BI7

Hi All ,
I have designed a web template where i have added a buttongroup which contains some buttons like open,save as, print,export to excel,filter,settings where in some of the buttons functionality is not working properly
Those are Filter,Open,Settings.
Iam not sure whether iam have choosen the right command for these buttons.Can any one give a solution for this.
Note :-These buttons functionality should be same like the buttons when we run a bex report in Portal ( we get all the above buttons in portal )

Open Hub Destination - From BI7 to R/3 error

Hi All ,
I am in the process of transferring infocube data from BI 7.0 to R/3.
I created an open hub destination with third party . Once I execute the DTP , i get an
error message
CREATE DATA : The specified type /BIC/OH**** id no valid data type.
The RFC connection between both the systems is in place .
Please guide me where i am going wrong.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Error while validating 0Analysis_Pattern or opening in WAD

Hi All
I am getting an error while validating the template 0Analysis_pattern, the error says "Cannot Instantiate data provider" Message No. RSWADPREXEC023. It is coming as an error message and not a warning.
Can somebody help me out !

Run-time error 9 subscript out of range in WAD open

Hi All,
When i open the WAD, I am getting the following error msg
Run-time error 9
Subscript out of range
and it is killing the logon and screen.
It is not happening to all the WAD, only for few of them,
please give me the tips.

Thanks for the answer.
I resolved it by replacing librfc.dll. There is a sap note to explain this issue.
the reason for the problem is..
If the web template has a bigger one then this problem is occurs.

Authorization Issue on Portal when executing a WAD

Hi Guys,
I have a WAD that is published to the portal. I have added the WAD to a page via a hyperlink, the page resides in KM. When a user opens the page, via a URL iView, the see the page, but when they click on the link to open the WAD, I get the following error:
Portal runtime error.
An exception occurred while processing your request. Send the exception ID to your portal administrator.
Exception ID: 07:19_26/02/10_0067_18934750
Refer to the log file for details about this exception.
When I assign the Super Admin (UME Role) to the user, they can execute the WAD no problem.
I am not an Authorizations person, so any pointers as to where I should start looking would be greatly appreciated.

How to print all the pages in wad

HI i am having a report with 3000 records when opened in wad, but when we print the Report, it is giving us records(60) on only first page, how do we print all the 3000 records from all the pages by clciking on print only once.

Using Variables in WAD

Hi gurus
I have created variables for Calender Year and posting periods for the value ranging from and to. Now i have created a web template for this query and i want to see the variables in my web template.
Please can anyone tell me how to do this.

hi vijaykumar
when u open the WAD u find a new template. On the left hand corner u find properties under which u have 2 tabs generic and web item. under web item u have the option force variable screen.
Drag the web item u want to display onto the new template. Now u can see the properties of that web item in the left hand corner. there u have two types of properties. Specific and general. under specific u find the properties u are looking for.

Dynamic filter with drill down in WAD

Hello Expert,
I am new in WAD and I have a requirement as below:
Data in Provider:
Mat1 Mat2   Plant   qty
M1     M2       P1      10
M1     M2       P2       20
Report layout in Bex as below:
Row:
Mat1
Column:
Qty
Free char:
Mat2
Initially I open the WAD report, data should filter on Plant = P1
Output:
Mat1 qty
M1     10
Now If I right click on Mat1 (select filter value and drill on Mat2 level) data get filter on Plant = P2, it show as below
Mat2 qty
M2    20
How I can achieve in WAD.

You can restrict the value in variable screen with default value plant as "P1" and added the query to template. Authorization issue in WAD when executing planning function

Hi All,
I am facing the bellow authorization issue-
Termination message sent
WARNING BRAIN (800): You do not have the authorization for component !!AZF2PO_AGR
MSGV1: ZF2PO_AGR
MSGV2: REP
MSGV3: !!AZF2PO_AGR
MSGV4: 16
ABEND RSBOLAP (002): No Authorization
I am getting this issue When Calling Planning function from WAD application using button. This authorization fail is happening in portal when the Planning function is executed.
Error explains that there is no authorization for component u201C!!AZF2PO_AGRu201D.Where as in actual we donu2019t have any component as stated.
Instead we have an aggregation level with technical name ZF2PO_AGR.
We have already Assigned the below Planning objects-
S_RS_ALVL
S_RS_PLENQ
S_RS_PLSE
S_RS_PLSQ
S_RS_PLST
To Summarize-There is a web application with button linked to planning functuion.When clicked on this button after execution of web template we get the above error.
Have found note 1000006,but it says Support package 12 and all but we in support package 20

Delete Row in WAD layout for input ready query

Hi All
I am using WAD for planning applications.....when i execute the Web template, it is displaying the query in edit mode which is ok... i am able to edit and insert the records in layout but i didn't find any option for deleting row...i couldn't see any command button for delete functionality in WAD...
please help me out......how i can get delete functionality in my user input query opened in WAD

Thanks for your help...but that is not going to help...by the way i am surprised why SAP has removed these basic functionality from IP while they are there in BPS..like add row delete row...in WAD if we dont have option for new line...we have to specify the no. of new lines in prior....also if user has filled the new lines then next line will not come untill he save..trhis is ridiculas....i am not able to find any wayout for these silly functionality

Make a CSV using OPEN HUB including some nodes of a hierarchy

Hi People:
I have a requirement that needs to make a CSV using OPEN HUB DESTINATION in BI7. I'm taking the information of a virtual cube (SEM ). However, I have the detail in 0CS_ITEM. In this Infobject there are some nodes that have to be displayed in the file, but this nodes are the acumulated of some 0CS_ITEM.
My question is: Do I have to make an abap program to read de hierarchy and make manually the adittion of the acumulated and display it into the file? Is there any other way to get this target without making abap code?

Instead of ABAP program I suggest you to create infospoke..and it will show a message in which format you want to save..

Modify Context Menu BI7.0

Hi,
I want to modify the context menu in the WAD, so that it includes SAVE rather than having this attached to a button.
I know I can modify the context menu in BW3.5 by using SAPBWAddToMenu and a combination of javascript and html.
I know in BI7.01 (EHP1) the option for SAVE, REFRESH etc is already in the context menu and it can be modified by using SAPbi_AddToMenu.
But in BI7.0, there is no help for modifying the context menu using javascript, this section doesn't exist.
We are currently on BI7.0 SP23, I have tried both SAPBWAddToMenu and SAPbi_AddToMenu, but both give errors in the webtemplate and the context menu does not work at all. It seems as though from BW3.5 to BI7.01 the option has been disabled.
Has anybody managed to modify the context menu of the WAD in BI7.0?

Reading your answer again, I see that you refer to BI 7.00 without any EHP.

Problem opening a web template!

Hi Experts
When I open a Web Templates, it says that it has a HTML Fragments & cannot be edited in WAD as it is not designed in such a way to edit only in HTML editor???
Any ideas are highly appreaciated.

wanted to ask you one more thing..
Are you trying to open some CRM templates?because some of them do not open in WAD.
You can only view the template "HTML" (code) view with WAD for the problem you described. This can be done using RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN or WAD.
You cannot view the template using WAD to get the "Layout" graphical view.
The only way to get around this is to strip out the HTML "fragments" from the HTML code, or to partition the templates into sub-templates.
