Opening a web overlay frame via button press (and closing it again)

Hi all
Is the following possible:
Push a button
A web content overlay window opens, displaying the web-based content within the frame (in this case, a URL pasted in from a google mobile search result). This window is smaller than the normal page size, so around 200 x 550px
Push the same button to close it, returning the page to the original state
The web content overlay launches automatically, but there's no 'hidden until triggered' option, as per the button panel.
I don't want the reader to have to 'leave' the app and go to the relevant full page browser via the folio (or Safari).

So there is no way to restrict the readerd access to the 'second' page, so it's only accessible via the button tha triggers the web overlay? Do the other apps you mention have the same issue - that the user can reach the duplicate page just by navigating as normal.
Anyway, I'm using the button method as suggested, made two pages etc. I've created the button, and made it jump to the other duplicate page, only problem is that the new page 'swipes' in, very quickly, which kind of negates the pop-up effect of using a web overlay window. Is there any way to make the duplicate page appear instantly over the old page (without pushing in from the bottom)?

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data (Clear Cache on iOS 4) and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari via the taskbar and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

When i try to open a web page, a blue screen appears and it is telling me " safari cannot open the page because i am not connected to the internet. i have an iphone, no problem and a laptop with connection - no problem - not sure what the trouble is.

Cant open up web console after install db 11gr2 and show weird symbols?

i just finished installing oracle database 11gR2. after successful install, i will usually want to open up web console at http://localhost:1158/em..
however if i open up the page i get a weird symbol on the top left. i also cant login to the db using any db management software.(im using toad)
Could anyone help me as to what i should do to fix this?and i would also like to what is the cause of this?

Open URL in new window when button pressed

Hi there,
Under the button options we can set it to redirect it to a URL. However, the page opens in the current window. Is it possible to get it to pop open in a new window?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Firefox crashes immediately after I try to open it. I have tried uninstalling it and installing it again, restoring my system, and nothing has worked. Help please!

After upgrading to Firefox 4 it initially worked, but I had to restore my system to deal with other issues on my laptop. After I did that, I reinstalled Friefox 4 and it is now crashing as soon as I click on the icon. I tried installing the 3.6 version which did not work. I also looked to open in safe mode, but cannot find anything relating to firefox safe mode on my computer.

Executing the planning function while opening the web interface

I have created a planning area based on multiprovider.This multiprovider is based on two transactional cube ie,COPA cube and Cost Center cube.
This planning area is meant for enabling integrated planning.One plans in COPA cube and other plans in Cost Center cube the income statement gets planned based on this two.
I selected planning items in multiprovider layout to display the income statement.The layout is as follows:
PlanningItem Amount
Net Sales: 9.000,00 INR (This comes from COPA)
Sales Overheads: 200,00 INR (This comes from Cost Center)
Depreciation: 200,00 INR (This comes from Cost Center)
Other Expenses: 300,00 INR (This comes from Cost Center)
EBIT: 0,00 INR
Interest Income: 0,00 INR
Interest Expense: 0,00 INR
Operating Income: 0,00 INR
Taxes: 0,00 INR
Now EBIT planning item is to be calculated from the planning items as follows:
EBIT = Net Sales-Sales Overheads-Depriciation-Other Expenses
For this i have created a planning function which calculates EBIT.This function works properly,there are no issues in it.
My problem is that i want this function to be executed as soon as i open the web interface for my planning application and the result should be as follows:

Hi Yogesh,
as far as i know, there is no standard functionality for that purpose, but there are workaround for it.
1. Modify the BSP Application.
 Go to SE80 --> Repository Browser --> BSP Application --> your WI name --> page with flow logic --> double click on page1.htm --> Event handler tabstrip --> on the drop down selection press F1 --> add a function module that call you BPS function in specific event (e.g: OnInitialization).
2. Use WI-Exit Class / WI-Extention (ABAP OO).
Here you need to create sub class from Class: CL_UPWB_BSP_APPL, and assign the class to your WI. You can then add a function module that call you BPS function in method:
2.1. Load --> performed only once on intial execution of WI.
2.2. Initialisation --> called once for each server response.
2.3. Dispatch --> called at each action and also for each WI component.

You can call your BPS function with BPS API FM (See F.Group: UPC_API)
But there is also more easier way to realize your ebit calculation. If you define your EBIT calc. manually in layout (define with manually defined Lead column). With this way, You will always get your EBIT analog with inputed values.
Then you add your EBIT calc.function to Layout Component in WI in property: 'Function After Data Change'.

Opening multiple web pages at once

When I used to use a PC, I could open several web pages at the same time without closing out of any of them - this was a new feature on Internet Explorer introduced within the past year. I can't figure out how to do this on my new MacBook. Even if I open a new desktop and launch Safari, it still comes up to the page that I had open in the other desktop. Please help. Thanks.

Using Tabbed Browsing
With tabbed browsing in Safari, you can open and switch between multiple web pages in a single window. Drag and drop your tabs to rearrange them, open one in a new browser window, or merge all your current windows into one tabbed window. Safari resizes each tab depending on the number you have open. You can even bookmark a set of tabs or revert to the tabs that were open when you last closed or quit Safari.
To use tabs, instead of opening a new browser window to display another webpage without losing your current one, Command-click a link to open the page in a new tab. You can switch back and forth between tabs by simply clicking the tabs.
If you want to create a new tab to enter a URL, choose New Tab from the File menu (or press Command-T), then type a URL or select a bookmark.

And btw, Internet Explorer did not 'invent' Tabbed Browsing

Show indices of Last TWO buttons pressed in a boolean array (how to?)

How would you go about showing the indices of the last TWO buttons pressed in an array of buttons, and only after TWO buttons have been pressed? I know how to show the LAST button pressed, and I know how to flag the event of two buttons being pressed (using the modulus), but I can't readily see how to show the indices of the last TWO.
For example, in an array of 24 buttons, someone presses buttons 2 and 7... an indicator says 2 & 7. Those buttons remain pressed. Now the user presses buttons 14 and 3, the same indicator now reads 14 & 3.
The indicator can be text, an int array, two ints, whatever. Any ideas?

To get the LAST button pressed, I just XOR the array and look for the True, as shown. No biggie.
Yep, I know about the ability to expand the left side S/R to get a histogram, and have used that in the past. It doesn't seem to do anything for me here!

I have window xp professional and this browser will not open. I have removed it and downloaded it again and still it won't open.

I think an older version of Morilla Firefox in order for this work on my computer.

And I'd close all of the running Apps (double tap on the home button, press and hold app then tap red - sign in corner of listed apps). This probably seems very elementary, but like I indicated the issue you are describing seems so much like a memory issue.....if this isn't it, the issue you describe has me scratching my head
BTW, you don't have any issues with the touch screen, correct? It seems to be functioning normally except for the issue you describe?

I have restored it at least 5 times to factory setting and it is still happening. The only way to stop it is to hit the sleep button off and then on again. It happens about once every 5 minutes. Please help.

If you successfully (completed all steps without errors) restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that points to a hardware problem. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

The frame option is to use an inline frame, or <iframe> into which you place a source url, which can be a page on your site or a pdf or a page on the internet. This call is placed inline, as its name implies. You might want to experiment with its placement in your page, floating, various widths and heights, until you get it the way you want it.

Be sure to style your iframe tag to have an adequate width and depth; those will not style automatically.
If you want it accessible only by mouse-click, consider putting it into a Spry Collapsing Panel that defaults to "closed". Be sure to put the <iframe> tag and its closing tag </iframe>, in this case, in the content area on the Collapsing Panel.
