Opening adobe PSE 8 problem

I had to wipe my harddrive out. Reinstalled PSE 8 worked briefly until I tried to photoshare and the mail system wasnt right. Messed with the defaults on mail. Cant figure out how to undo what I did. But now when I am on welcome page and click on organize it shuts down. I even uninstalled and reinstalled 3x to no avail. I am still computer illiterat so any basic help is appreciated.

Suggest that you try opening the program another way.
Go to C>Program Files (x86)>Adobe>Photoshop Elements 8. Right click here, and go to "send to desktop (Create Shortcut)". This should enable you to open the editor by double clicking the icon on the desktop.
You can do this separately for the Editor and for the Organizer.
Let us know how you make out.

I don't know what happen however, I right clicked the pse12 icon went to properties & sure enough it had today"s down load date.
I opened the program up. When the start screen came up the message was still there with no option to record the serial number, I decided to click on the photo gallery button. When I did, pse12 opened up & all my photo's started to appear. I then clicked on the help button & went to updates, downloaded the 2 updates listed. Clicked on the organizer & there were my files. Thank You for your assistance.

In adobe pse and nikon nx2, I open 2 images, select in 1 a head, copy, open image 2 and paste, than only the outlines of the selection apears but no head. who knows this problem?

I am sorry to have to point out to you that you have changed SpryMenuBasicSkin.css so much that it is impossible to render any assistance.
To start with, the menubar has an ID of MenuBar, yet in the CSS I only see this referenced as a CLASS as in

Problem opening Adobe Photoshop Elements 13

After unzipping Photoshop Elements 13, I received a error message saying
that PSE had detected an impending shutdown of my computer, and that I
should shutdown and restart the computer. I had two button choices:
ignore or quit. Given those choices, I quit, then shutdown the computer
and restarted. I again unzipped PSE and attempted an install. This time I
got a error message saying an installer was already running and I should
shut it down. Having no clue as to how to shut down an installer, I
attempted (FOR 6 HOURS) to obtain assistance from Adobe technical support
and either waited for a return call, waited on hold, attempted to
communicate with someone who I could not understand from India, or was told
technical support was not available on the phone for PSE. I finally gave
up and went to Chat. There, attempting to explain what the problem was,
(see above), I guess I took too long to respond, the chatter closed the
chat, and I was not able to reconnect to chat. After 5 attempts were
denied, I contacted a friend who has computer operations experience. After
an hour of attempting various things, he told me to hit "ignore". PSE
installed correctly and I'm now using it. This was an extremely shoddy
performance by Adobe -- first a glitch in the install process, and then no
help from tech support.

Idesperatelly need a help with this. Adobe Reader simply can't open and I have over and over the same information 'Adobe Reader 9.4 has encountered a problem and needs to close.' Obviously there is error raport created for this problem and the help I have from Microsoft is absolutelly useless. I already uninstall all acrobate and adobe programs and install adobe reader again, but nothing change. Now I stuck with some different program as temporary solution and no solution for this problem. I went into the PC settings and tried to change the display resolution. This changes the size of all the icons (not only Adobe) but it does not solve the problem when I open an Adobe application (Photoshop or Illustrator)... The PC is run under Windows 8.1 and my display resolution is 3200x1800 (but again, when I change the settings for a smaller resolution, only the size of the icons is affected. Once I open the software, the problem is still there, extra-small toolbars...). Help!!!

Anything before CC is not high-DPI compatible. Feel free to continue to experiment with your system settings.

If so, go ahead and purge it.

Hi I am having a problem opening Adobe Photoshop. I use Adobe Photoshop CS6 on my pc. The problem is I open up Adobe Photoshop CS6 and a window come's up and is asking me to pay $29.99. And I already paid for a 1 year membership already. And now Adobe Photoshop CS6 does not work anymore. Does anyone know why this happens. And how to fix this problem?

I have Adobe PSE 11 and use a Nikon D600. When I try to open a .nef (RAW) photo, PSE says "... file from a camera model which is not supported by installed version of Camera Raw..." Downloaded patches 7.2, 7.3 & 7.4. Still no success opening .nef photos. What can I do next?

I have not own Nikon gear since film drifted away. I've read where using older versions of Nikon software to transfer photo files to your computer can "corrupt" them in a way that makes them "foreign" to Adobe products.
Memory serves that the solution is to update the Nikon software or transfer the files directly.
Nikon users may have much better adivice!
