Opening an existing .swf and removing the music?

I have a site that I've been asked to work on.
its joomla and each page has a .swf on it and it plays an annoying sound.
is there a tool that would let me crack open this swf and remove the music and put it back together again?

You would have to find a Flash decompiler and use it to create an fla and then edit that fla to remove the sound.
Beyond the ability to make changes the question arises as to whether you have the right to do so. If you did not create this file then you probably do not own the rights to the file that would allow you to modify it. You should check with whoever designed the site to see what needs to be done in that regard.

iTunes match won't automatically remove content from your computer, if you want to do that you will need to do it manually yourself.

On your phone: Settings>General>Usage>Music...tap the Edit button...then the red minus sign. This will delete all music on your phone.

Do a clean (re)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

Yes, that is exactly what it means.
The right way to do it is to first rebuild your library on the new computer, and then sync the iPod.
You can rebuild your library by copying the library from the old computer or from your backup.
If neither of those options is available, you can extract the songs from the iPod, although the process is a bit hairy. See this guide for the procedure, written by Forum member Steve/turingtest2.

It has always been that the upgrade tries to be the "master" over the older version.
Anyway in Pages 09 you have probably the Comments field showing, making all contetn to move to the right.
Go to View menu > Hide Comments.

Loading an external clip(swf) and removing existing one

I am tearing my hair out; I simply want a button when
clicked, to load an external swf. But I just can't seem to get my
head around it. Here is my code:

Sorry for late response. I used the following code, which
loads another swf and replaces the original swf;

Now, the problem is that when I use the same code to get back
to the original, it doesn't work. Obviously, I have changes the
button name and the requested swf.
I get an error stating something about the main timeline.
Funny, how it works only once, loads a swf but won't load another
swf file.
I appreciate the time this issue has taken. But an answer
would be nice!

Since there is IOS 7.0 , deleting music like you guys are describing in not possible anymore.
The only way to delete music completely, is to sync. with Itunes on your PC/Mac.
Then you can remove or add music to your liking.
I discovered this short after installing 7.01, when my Iphone 4s was completely full with pictures and music.

Move a file to external disk and remove the original

This is a script that was supplied to me on these forums it has been working well, but all the transferring of the files took place locally so a 'Move' command does it eactly what it says, however I now need to move it to an external drive, as a result it leaves trace of the original file.

I do not have the time to read through your whole script and give specific answers, but the general principle is fairly easy. You're moving with the Finder, so your move command is going to be of the form:
tell application "Finder"
move file xxxx to folder yyyy
end tell
For cross file system moves (which are as you point out actually duplications) just add a line after each move that sends the old file to the trash:
tell application "Finder"
move file xxxx to folder yyyy
delete file xxxx
end tell
the Finder has an empty trash command that you can use at the end of the script if you like.
One gotcha: because move has two different behaviors, the second code block will throw an error if you try to use if for a local move (it will move the file properly, then try to delete the file it moved, which is obviously no longer there). For clarity, I'd use duplicate rather than move for if you're working across file systems. That's what you're actually doing, and if you use the move command you may confuse yourself when you come back to look at the script a year down the road.
