Opening CFolder UI

Hi,
It might sound very naïve question, but it is my first day playing with Cfolders 4.5 (part of PPM 5) and I am not able to see UI itself. Here is what we have done so far.
1-     Installed CPRXRPM 500_702 , Same server as ECC, component service pack 7
2-     SU01 , added admin role SAP_CFX_ADMINISTRATOR
3-     I could see Collaboration folder options in SPRO IMG, I didnu2019t touch those yet.
Started NWBC, but could not see Cfolder options here. I want to see admin console to set up 'Status Profiles', 'Folder templates' etc.
1-     Is there any transaction to start Cfolders, so that I can start configurations.
2-     Do I need to have any other building blocks before I will see Cfolder screen.

From SICF I tried to launch CFX_RFC_UI service. I got following error.

If the termination type is RABAX_STATE, you will find more information on the cause of termination in system S15 in transaction ST22.
If the termination type is ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE, you will find more information on the cause of termination on the application server sapsc011_S15_01 in transaction SM21.
If the termination type is ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE, you can search for further information in the trace file for the work process 9 in transaction ST11 on the application server. sapsc011_S15_01 . You may also need to analyze the trace files of other work processes.

Hi,
I get BSP error while opening cfolder URL link in BID Invitation Header data --> Document tab and click on the hyperlink for the cfolder.

Hi,
You dont have the authorisation for going to cFolder.
Ask your BASIS guy to give the roles of SAP_CFX_CFOLDERS_ADMINISTRATOR or SAP_CFX_ADMINISTRATOR.

CFolder Integration with SNC

Hi Experts,
We are integrating cFolder with SAP SNC (Supply Network Collaboration) application. Both SNC and cFolder application are installed on the same server. We have activated cFolder within SNC application. As per SAP help, we have not added any RFC destination for cFodler as it is on the same server as SNC.
Now when I try to open cFolder link from SNC application, it throws an exception
"Error in CFX Call: An exception occurred that was not caught."
I checked ST22 for the error and found that the application is not able to find cFolder URL. It is failing at below code:

icol_id = l_col_id_str
i_area_id = l_area_id_str
i_topic_id = i_topic_id_str
i_role = ' ' ).
I can see that relative collaboration folders are created in cFolder. cFolder application when opened directly from SE80 is opening properly. So it is evident that SNC is able to communicate with cFolder and also able to create collaboration folder. However, when the cFolder window is opening, it fails.
Request you to please help on how to solve this issue.

CFolder and SNC Integration

The DP & SNC cannot be integrated on the fly, SAP also does not give the option to enable the integration. Technically APO & SNC use two different databases. If there is a need there has to be custom development to achieve this.
There are numerous ways to achieve this using custom development. One possibility is download the keyfigures (forecast) & convert to the XML message (confirming the XML format required for SNC) then upload them using the SAP standard interface using SPROXY transaction. Now you can see the forecast data of DP in SNC.

CFolder- Purpose of webDAV client.

Dear all,
We have activated cFolder and running fine. We want to make some chnages to existing layout of Material master and ECN. For example in ECN screen we are getting options like "Change Type 1" and "Change Type 2". When we went to dig out information for this we got following inputs.
1) Create webDAV client- Please tell us what is this? Why to create it? and How to create it?
2) Need to get the standard XML files of ECN.
3) Update the XML files as required?
4) Use new XML files and then structure of ECN form will get updated?
5) Please let us know whether above change is user specific or system specific?
Some more inputs on this.

For this you need to create an external alias in sicf , the complete procedure is mentioned in

Once you get the URL as per the syntax mentioned in the above document, use the url and "Map as a Network drive" (if you are using Windows 7 ) in your desktop .
If you are using xp and IE 6.0, you can also open the url by from IE using File - New - Add the url- Open as Webfolder (checkbox)
Once you see the folders, you can edit the xml files as per requirement. This would be system specific.

CFolder bidder authorization

Hi experts,
We are working on SRM 5.0 (SP 14) and C-folder 4.0. We are implementing competitive bidding with 2 Envelope Functionality. Our problem is the authorization of bidders in C-folder.
After the bid invitation is published and the bidder logs in for the first time, the bidders can upload documents in their respective private folder and view the buyeru2019s public folder (standard C-folder feature). We have an additional user (let us call him XYZ) who is supposed to do the technical evaluation of bids received from bidders. XYZ has access to open the C-folder. Once XYZ logs in, a new private folder is created (custom development). After XYZ login, later, when the bidder logs into C-folder, bidder gets u2018Readu2019 authorization to all folders (including other bidderu2019s folder). We want to control the authorization of bidders to only his folder and the buyeru2019s public folder. How do I control the authorization programmatically?
We have implemented the BADI BBP_CFOLDER_BADI to create the new private folder for user XYZ using method COL_AUTHORITY_CHANGE and calling function module CFX_API_AREA_CREATE. After implementing this BADI, the bidders get u2018READu2019 authorization to other bidderu2019s folder. We tried to set the authorization of bidders using function module CFX_ACO_API_ACTIVITIES_SET but it didnu2019t work.
Kindly request you guys to provide any inputs for this issue.

I could fix the User authorizations issue using Cfolder BADI by identifying the 'Collaboration ID' and 'Area ID' of each folder and assigning the necessary authorizations to required users.

ECL viewer error for Cfolder

Hii all,
I have installed ECL viewer and Cfolder. I have also applied OSS notes 494146,809056,809922.
When I am opening the *.jt ot redlining file in Cfolder the systems give s error that file not found.

Hi Patil,
sometimes it happens, that you click on the file-link itselfe. This is not starting the viewer. You have to click on the '0' below 'Redlining'.

Two part Bidding and cFolder

Hi friends,
We are using SRM 7.0 with PPS. I have configured cFolder for Two Part Bidding. I am facing problems for Opening Technical Bid. Before opening date and time I am able to access files attached by vendor through cFolder. Is there any provision to give Opening date and time in cFolder. Am I missing any configurations?

PERSISTED, and as far as I know all functions used to compute the value of a computed column have to be deterministic if we want that column to be
PERSISTED, and what I know also is that if we want to convert a function to deterministic we have to add
WITH SCHEMABINDING in
the function definition ...
So is there a way to make this function deterministic without
WITH SCHEMABINDING ?
OR is there a way to make a computed column
PERSISTED without its functions to be deterministic ?

Bid Invitation Display not working in cFolder

Hi ,
I am using the cFolder application with SRM 5.5.
Now when I create a collaboration (while creating a bid invitation) a cfolder link is created.
When I enter in the cFolder application, there is a external reference tab available " Bid Invitatn XXXXXXXXXX Display".
If I click on this tab, it should open the same bid invitation, but currently its not working.
Can anybody suggest what is the expected behaviour of the system if I click on this tab? Any suggession regarding configuratiion which I probably have missed to make this tab working?

Issue in navigating to cfolder from Bid Invitation in the specific instanc.

We have an issue in cfolder, when we navigate from Bid Invitation after creation of instance for cfolder through the link in "Document" view..
Instead of opening directly into the specific instance of Bid Invitation in the cfolder, system open ups in u201CHome Menuu201D in the "Competitive "Scenariou201D with all the List of Bid Invitation instance visible in the cfolder.
The user have to search the Bid Invitation Instance in cfolderr to upload the documents. Whereas we require that the system should navigate directly into the Bid Invitation Instance of cfolder.
Kindly help me in resolving the issue, have I missed some config. in the cfolder .

There are a couple of things you should change.
First of all, you do not need a Proxy Service with Email transport. A Proxy Service with email transport is created to receive an email from a SMTP server, which is why it is one way only (you wont be sending a message response to SMTP server for an email received from it).
Your requirement is to send out an email from OSB, you will only need a Business Service with email transport for that.
You can call this business service from your main proxy using a Publish Action and set the subject field by adding Transport Headers in the Publish Action.
Main Proxy-->Email BS
If however, you want to have a common proxy in between to set the subject(may be so you can have that logic at one place and call it from multiple proxy services?), then you can create a Proxy Service with LOCAL transport. In this proxy service invoke the Email Business Service using a Publish Action and set the subject field by adding transport header. You can invoke this local proxy from your main proxy.

now by mistake, i have overwritten the file so the link has changed.
now im unable to see the banner.

eg

Can anyone give me the information for getting open and cancelled Quote Report?

I hope you are using reason for rejection for cancelling quotations. If that is the case, you can use transaction VA25 to view the list of quotations. Here you can filter on two columns status and reason for rejection to view the report as per your requirement.

Find open and close smart quotes

Here I am trying find whether all the open double smart quotes(") are closed with close double smart quotes("). Here is my small work to find how many open and close quotes.

You'd have to look for unmatched quotes, in this case two cases of two open quotes without an intervening closed quote. This is difficult to script in CS2 because it doesn't have GREP natively and because of footnote problems. In CS3/4 it should be possible. But even then it will work only if you don't have quotes within quotes.

Same EPM Excel Report takes time to open and refresh on 1 system while it opens and refreshes faster on other system

I am facing an issue where the EPM Excel Templates on SERVER ROOT FOLDER take time to open on 1 system . It also takes great amount of time to REFRESH . While on an another system the same Report opens rather quickly and refreshes also quickly .

help my safari doesn't open and gives me a crash report ever since i downloaded a file from the internet. I have a macbook air (early 2014) with running os x yosemite version 10.10.1

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download."
