Opening email attachment send by Mail Drop

Hi,
I successfully send email with 500 MB attachment to 2 recipients. They successfully opened mail and downloaded file. But if I try to send it to my e-mail, I cant download via Mail app and via Safari too on my mac.
Try to download via Safari:
in Safari nothing happends on this page, and if I click to Try it again (zkuste to znovu), nothing happend at all.
Try to download via mail.app:
file is greyed up and if i click to download file, nothing happens.
Got last yosemite, everything updated. Tried another web clients too. Interesting is, than my friends with OS Window can download it with no problems.

I'm from Austria, not so far away! The file that you've received seems to be a Windows Media File and you may need a special software for your iPad to be able to open it. I've found something HERE.

Mail 8.0 deleted email content when using mail drop

Using Mail 8.0 on Yosemite 10.1 I just spent a very long time answering an email. I attached a PDF of 30 MB before sending and the window to say it would be sent via mail drop appeared. I clicked Yes.
Later I checked sent messages to see the email I wrote and make sure it all went through OK. However, in the email only a link to the mail dropped PDF was there, and all the text I wrote had disappeared.
Nothing in sent, or saved boxes. It's a Gmail account, so I checked sent messages from the web interface for Gmail and also there was just the link.
I did a test and sent another email with said attachement and some random text, and it came out ok, it even had a fancy download button rather than some super long link.
What is going on? can I get my email back? Please help!

I've had - and am having -- all kinds of problems with Mail 8.0. Is there an update yet to fix the many, many ISSUES with 8.0?
I am ready to ditch the program unless fixes are forthcoming.

Error while opening PDF attachment sent via mail

Hi,
I am attaching PDF file to PO in me22n and sending the same file as attachment in the mail to the vendor using class CL_BCS.
The mail is sent to the vendor successfully and they are able to successfully open the PDF attachment. But in some cases the mail is successfully received but while opening the attachment it is giving the error as file is corrupted.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi,
I would like to know what font type, you are using in the forms.
Ideally it should be HELVETICA .
If you are using any other font in your style/form,try changing it to HELVETICA & Test.
Also Check the OTF data at the call of gen. FM,before converting it to PDF.

i am able to convert Smartform into PDF and able to send email the attachment.
But when i try to open the attachment i get the error" unable to open the file may be the file is Corrupted"

Opening email attachment in an iPad app

I am having trouble opening an email attachment in an iPad app. How can I get the app I want to use to come up in the list of apps available to be used.

IIRC, there is no way to manipulate which apps can be stored in the Open In window. Certainly, I might be wrong about that. The last app that you used in the Open In window should move to the top of the list the next time you use Open In.
You are swiping the Open In window to get to the next selection of apps available - correct? Another option is to open the PDF in any other PDF app that you have, and from there send it to Idea Flight with the open in option in the PDF app that you use. For instance - open the file in Adobe Reader and then send it to Idea Flight.

ME29N Shortcut Attachment send to Mail with PO number

I am using FM 'SWN_CREATE_SHORTCUT' to send mail to PO approver with attachment, when the PO approver clicks the attachment in his mail it should open the transaction 'ME29N'.
It is working fine...ME29N Default screen is getting opened .But the requirement is .ME29N should get opened with a specific PO number as parameter.

Tiger 10.4.11-Can't open email attachment

Received an email attachment jpg (777 KB) which was clearly visible in the message window as well as when I opened the attachment itself -so no problem. However I needed to have some alterations made to this file (business card)
I duly received two consecutive attachments, which were the alterations to my business card (the 777 KB file.
These two files were now 1.3 MB and 1.4 MB in size, they appeared in the message window as large black images (nothing visible) which I was unable to open.
As I did not know the problem, suggested to the sender to perhaps reduce the file size, as I was able to open the original file. The sender re-sent the re-sized file now reduced to 744 KB, similar in size to the first one, again appears as a large black image.
Now we are at a stalemate, the sender says he has four computers and the images appear fine on all four, so is now suggesting the problem is with me or my computer. I have had no prior problems opening jpg files, so suggested he send me a pdf to enable me to check the alterations, I'm still waiting for that pdf!
Can someone please help! Is there something i can do? or is it up to the sender?

Just got a new Tour because the original one had trackball issues. I uploaded everything to my new tour and re-setup my email. Since then I have been unable to open email attachments. When I click on the attachment, it says I must save it to my disk; with one button mouse just click once and save? I've tried dragging and saving the attachment to word doc but opened up with a page of garbled words/symbols,etc. Any ideas are welcome.

Issue while opening Excel attachment send through FM

Hi All,
I had program in which i am sending mail along with Excel attachment using FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1. Mail is going fine with data in Excel attachment. But when i try to open the Excel it gives an Info message saying that "You are trying to open (attachment name),is in different format than specified file extension Verify that file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening file. Do you want to open file now". Then when i presses YES, Excel opens up with all data. I want to know how to avoid that info popup. Is there something has to be passed to FM or something has to be done to Excel like settings in EXCEL so that i can avoid that Info message coming.
Document type of attachment is gw_packing_list-doc_type = 'XLS'.

How to apply Password Protection On attachment send through mail from SAP

Hi All,
I want to apply Password Protection on file send as an attachment from SAP on Email.
I know how to send email from sap with attachment in it. A smartform is coverted to a attachment and send on email.
But how can i apply password protection on it.
Any type of file format will be fine. I just need to know how can i make that file as password protected.

Not folder but file (I do hope you understand the difference). Have you tried to search SDN at all? I don't have much time, but before replying initially I did just a quick search and it brought several posts mentioning the archiving functionality. And I'm sure 'Smartform to PDF' will bring up gozillion posts. Also I find the Google search with addition 'site:sap.com' to be quite helpful.
However, I would still recommend to review the requirements. Why exactly do you need this password protection? If there is a fear that someone other than a recipient might get access to the email account then there is really a bigger security issue in the organization and it should be resolved by some other means. As I have mentioned, password does not really add much protection.
Out of curiosity I briefly looked at the IRM description on the Microsoft's web site and it doesn't seem to be very helpful. First of all, it's the MS software and has to be installed on the user's PC and configured (how do we know the emai recipients are even on Windows?). Also it does say "Prevent an unauthorized recipient from accessing e-mail content", but I didn't quite get how exactly. Is there a retinal scan that comes with it? And the list of things it does not do gives you the whole another perspective on the email security.

SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 pdf attachment sending thru mail ecc 6.0

I'm using ECC 6.0 version, I'm trying to attach a pdf file to a mail using the function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1. But gtting error as "wasn't decoded correctly", but the same coding is working fine in 4.6 version. What changes i should do while using this function module in ECC 6.0 to get it corrected.

Cannot open email attachment in SRM

Dear Gurus,
I am using FM 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' to send an email with attachment to SRM. Email and attachment can be opened successfully in the backend gui. However, in the browser the email can be opened but not the attachment (attachment appears as a paperclip).
To exclude the FM as the cause, I manually created the email from within the Business workplace but with exactly the same result. Is there a config setting which must be set before you can open attachment in the browser.

What type of attachment it is?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
 To Enable SafeMode

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
