Opening .EPS files on Photoshop CS2

Hi
I have just reinstalled my photoshop CS2, and for some reason, I cannot open EPS files. I can find the files, but when I open them, nothing appears (just a blank background, as if the picture is invisible)
Can anyone help me?

Is there like a setting I need to change? I used to be able to open them, but after I reinstalled Photoshop, I cant...

Open eps files in Photoshop

Is it possible to avoid the dialog box 'Rasterize Generic EPS format' while opening eps file in Photoshop.
I wanted to run the batch process on a set of eps files for converting to GIF. Whenver the eps file is opened this dialog box appears.

I have been working on the same thing you have and found another forum used to batch process pdf files, which easily altered to funtion for processing eps files. The script asks you to select a folder where your eps images reside.

Opening .CR2 files in Photoshop CS2

I am trying to see if it possible to open .CR2 RAW files in Photoshop CS2, which brings up the message " Could not complete our request because it is not eh right kind of document"
I have tried updating the Raw Plug in line with Adobe's website and putting the .8BI file into File Formats folder, but this does not seem to solve the problem.
Adobe on line chat will not help.
Any advice gratefully received.

It appears support was added for the 40D in ACR 4.2, while CS2 will only support up to ACR 3.7.

Can't open .NEF files in Photoshop CS2

Heres the deal: I've updated and installed my camera raw in Photoshop CS2, so I have the latest version of it (ACR 3.7). I still can not open my .NEF files in Photoshop and when I view the files from Bridge it shows the generic thumbnail image.
Information that might help:
PS Version: Photoshop CS2
ACR Version: Camera Raw 3.7
Camera: Nikon D60
Operating Sys: Mac OSX

The D60 was not supported in ACR 3.7. In fact, that version was the first to support the D40. You will have to use the latest version of the DNG converter to convert your raw images to DNG. Then you can open those files in ACR 3.7.

How do I open eps files in Photoshop touch

Looking to open up some eps files from my creative cloud into photoshop touch

Not actually sure if it can import EPS files from Creative Cloud. I know it can import other undocumented image file types like RAW files.
If it can, the way to find out is to use the "add image" icon (looks like a plus sign with a landscape-type image) > Creative Cloud. If you can see a thumbnail of the image, more than likely it will import.

Opening EPS file in Photoshop 7.0, blacked out, can't see vector cutouts

this is a 10 year old eps file. we used it to make vinyl cutout stickers.
after opening in PS7, it's just black squares, without all the cutouts in each square.
when opened in notepad, these are the 1st 2 lines...

still googling, looks like i need AI. rats.
i don't need this stuff vectorized for cutting out this time. i plan to export jpg's for poster printing. so if i can at least open the file with the vectors visible, i could still work with and save as a psd. but to get those vectors, i gotta have AI? bummer.

Check the optional plug-ins on the install disc. Failing that, download an alternate image viewer/ conversion program and convert the file.

Quark eps files crash PhotoShop CS2

I have an intermittent problem I have not had with previous versions of PS. When I open a Quark eps (rasterize) it will only open if there are no other PS files open. Otherwise, PS will crash or I will get a "not enough memory" message. Same file will open fine if there is no other PS file open at the time. I use these Quark eps files as a base for PS design so I can see where type will fall, and have been doing so all my design career. This is the first version of PS with this problem.

Can you save out a pdf instead and use that?
I remember having the same problem a long time ago with PS 6.0.1, but I don't remember the solution. Might have had something to do with a font. Zapf Dingbats perhaps.

Hi,
The version of Camera Raw that you reported should support the S100 CR2 images.
If you load the editor, go to the File menu and select Open, then point to the file, are you saying that it displays the error message?
Have you tried opening the file with Canon's Zoombrowser?
Which operating system are you running on?

Having issues opening eps files in Photoshop CC 2014

This is the Error that pops up:
Could not complete your request because Photoshop was unable to parse the PostScript.
I have a mac

Save it in Illustrator as AI file or as PDF/X-4.
You can place it in Photoshop as Smart Object or linked Smart Object or Open it, which would rasterize content.
Illustrator has also a PSD export which allows you to export AI files to PSD, under specific circumstances they are even editable.
Don't use EPS anymore, as it is an old outdated file type which does not support transparency and not color management.

Is there a plug-in to open WMF files in Photoshop CS2?

Have been opening my WMF files in another program and converting them to a friendlier format which is a pain. Is there a plug-in or something that will allow me to open WMF in Photoship CS2? I can view them in Bridge but that's all.

Here is a Batch Converter, that might work for you. Do not know about a plug-in.

Unable to open ANY file in Photoshop CS2

I was working on pretty big files. Lots of layers. I decided to restart the Computer in order to speed up the process. Once the computer booted up again i double clicked on one of the images and I got the lovely beach ball for quite some time...after well...about 2 minutes or so...NO sign of ANYTHING happenning i decided to close the program using the Command + Tab and then Quitting from there instead of force quit. USUALLY when I do that it takes a while to regroup and close, this time it does it instantly. NO files are opening it just stays there... "thinking" and when I quit it quites instantly. Has anyone else experienced this in the past? How could I solve this problem I am going NUTS! lol

I hope what im trying to say will be quite clear, well im still an amateur in photoshop, had some tutorial lessons, which were a bit worth it....but my problem is iv been trying to use photoshop 7.0 to edit some of my images but there is this grid appearing on the foreground of every image and it appears as if each image has been locked. I cant do any scaling, rotation, etc, as this grid doesnt want to go anywhere..
can somebody please help me...your help can be appreciated..

Probably not. Sounds like you are not able to use hardware acceleration because your system isn't up to it and thus any alternatives would probably suffer the same limitation and feel just as slow....
