Opening .exe documents

OK ... i give up ... how can I do it on 10.3.9?
Neo Office doesn't work. Latest version doesn't like Panther.

Download the OS 10.3 version of Neo Office here.
http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/en/olddownload.php#download
Neo Office v3.0 requires OS 10.4.x.

  • How to open .EXE type documents???

I downloaded a document but cant open it because it asks for an application to open it with. What application should i use to open .EXE type documents???
    The document its called TVantsSetup.EXE

First, '.exe' is a Windows PC executable, and will not run on a Mac (at least not while you're in Mac OS)... And second, are you sure you posted this in the right place? This is the area for iPhone discussions...
If what you downloaded is a document, it may be a self-extracting one. From the name you indicated, it appears to be a setup program, and not a document. But nevertheless, it needs Windows.

  • Won't Open Any Documents

    Hi all,
I'm pretty new to Illustrator and I'm currently using Illustrator CS6 v16.0.0 x32 on Windows 7. I'm having an issue where it's not letting me open any documents or basically use it... hence the long description:
When I load the program, everything looks okay. But when I go to File --> New (to create a new file, or even use one from a template) the program crashes. I get an error message that says: "Adobe Illustrator has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program." This error has occurred even when opening existing .ai or .pdf files so I can't open anything at the moment.
Originally, v16.0.2 was working and then I installed the v16.0.3 update. I didn't use it for a few days after the update and then I created a new document but it started crashing and not saving. I was able to isolate it to at least changing rectangle colors. For example, I drew a box filled with red and saved the file. Then I drew another box filled with blue on the same artboard and when I went to save the file the program would crash. However, I was able to save when I drew multiple red boxes. But once I put a blue box, it wouldn't work. [I don't recall what the error message was, if there was one, since I now have a different issue where I can't open anything]
I wasn't exactly sure what was causing that so I thought I would uninstall Illustrator and install the v16.0.2 update to it and leave it at that for the moment. So I used the Windows Remove Program and removed Illustrator. I also at some point ran the Adobe Cleanup tool for removing trial versions just to have all my bases covered. I also removed anything else from Adobe that came with Illustrator (like Bridge, Reader, Acrobat, AIR, etc) just in case. Some of those programs probably did not come bundled with Illustrator.
I re-downloaded the files from Adobe (the Akamai Download Manager kept crashing so I had to do the regular download) and then I extracted them and ran it. It initialized the install and everything seemed to install fine, the same way I did it the first time. I put in the serial number, etc and then I was not able to open any documents. I ran the v16.0.2 update and had the same problem.
So then I uninstalled everything again and used the Adobe Download Manager to download the trial version of Illustrator CS6 and was not able to open any documents there either once it was installed. This leads me to believe it may be something specific to my computer or some setting somewhere?
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Hi Myelenium,
Thanks for the info about Event Viewer!
    It's showing this message:
Faulting application name: Illustrator.exe, version: 16.0.0.682, time stamp: 0x4f6e762b

So I searched the forums for any previous AGM.dll posts and tried resetting the preferences (through Alt+Ctrl+Shift) and deleting the entire Adobe Illustrator CS6 Settings folder. I opened Illustrator again and moved some panels around to save a new AIPrefs folder but I was still unable to open any documents.
Then I tried the next step listed here:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4687911#4687911
And removed the Printer that I usually use and it seems like that did the trick! Yay!

    Hi Waqas
Thanks for your help with this. I had a look at both posts, the URL works fine from the WAC server and I am not using a System account to test docs.
Also, this is a production site that is accessible over the Internet, so we are using https therefore the WOPIZone is external-https.
Issue #3 in the above blog link does not reflect the same error I see on my servers.
I also had a look at the information in this link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff431687.aspx#oauth
Problem: You receive a "Sorry, there was a problem and we can't open this document" error when you try to view an Office document in Office Web Apps.
If you added domains to the Allow List by using the
New-OfficeWebAppsHost cmdlet, make sure you’re accessing Office Web Apps from a host domain that’s in the Allow List. To view the host domains in the Allow List, on the Office Web Apps Server open the Windows PowerShell prompt as an administrator and run
the Get-OfficeWebAppsHost cmdlet. To add a domain to the Allow List, use the
    New-OfficeWebAppsHost cmdlet.
I have not added any domains to the Allow list so this did not help either. Should I add the domain?
Any further help with this is much appreciated.
    Thanks again.

  • Can't open webi documents

    Hi,
We can't open webi documents on BO XI 3.0. We have the following error message :
    com.businessobjects.wp.om.OMReportElementContainer
    (Error: INF)
But we can open deski documents through infoview.
    Any ideas ?

We are seeing this error now and it has happened again after restarting the SIA and Tomcat. We will try rebooting whole server tonight.
    SAP KB 1326991 suggests:
    Cause
The CMSClusterMembers entry in the registry is not updated.
    Resolution
      WARNING   ***********
The following resolution involves editing the registry. Using the Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall the Microsoft Windows operating system.
Use the Registry Editor at your own risk. It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of the registry files before you edit the registry. For information on how to edit the registry key, view the 'Changing Keys And Values' online Help topic in the Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
Make sure that the CMSClusterMembers entry is updated in the registry. Or you can edit it manually.
The CMSClusterMembers entry can be modified from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Enterprise\CMSClusterMembers.
    Restart Server Intelligence Agent (SIA).
Has anyone tried this - what is meant by 'updating' the registry entry? Updating to what?
    thanks

  • Crashing if I open a document, but not if I use the 'File' menu?

I've got InDesign CS5 on Windows 7. If I open InDesign and use File > Open, I can launch my projects without trouble. If I go to the file in Windows Explorer and double-click it, InDesign launches, but hangs without opening the document and I have to force-quit from the Task Manager. Any suggestions? It's not a major issue, but it's a hassle not to be able to simply select a recent document and open it from the start menu.

Re-associate InDesign with the file type
Right Click > Open With > InDesign should be listed but the belt and suspenders approach might merit actually browsing to the InDesign .exe file

  • How to open iCloud documents with ios8

You cannot open it on Windows Vista. The only application in the world that opens a Pages document is Pages, and it is Mac OS X only.
    Your options:
    1. Find a Mac with Pages installed, and save the document as doc or pdf, which you can open on Vista.
    or, if that is impossible,
    2. Open the files in a texteditor like Notepad.exe on Windows and try to piece text fragments together to get at least part of your original text back. The images should also be available somewhere, even though all formatting is gone.

  • After clean install Preview and MS Word won't open any documents.

Did a clean install of Mavericks. Restored my files from dropbox. (thousands of pdf and word files, doc. and docx)
Now, preview and MS Word won't open any documents.
Preview fails to open PDF so as MS Word fails to open any doc or docx file. Both crash on launch (not responding).
The only way to open the files is renaming them.
Try to delete the .plist (preview and Word), dont work.

    Hi Fiat Lux
Thanks anyway but I have solved it.It wasn't any fault of Acrobar Reader as such. Everytime I run a microsoft remote desktop and access my main PC from my laptop it deletes the default printer status of my printer (on the main PC) and then when I want to run the above command Reader can't find a printer to use until I reinstate it as the default printer.
    Thanks anyway.

  • Error message:    "There is no default application specified to open this document."  How do I find app. to open file??

I am trying to NETGEAR software for a Wireless USB adapter.  When I put cd in and click autorun.exe file it says "There is no default application specified to open this document."  How do I find app. to open file??

Or if you get stuck, post back with details of the Netgear device you are attempting to use.
I'm sure that we can get it to work, but be prepared that it just MAY have to go back, if for example it requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later - I found a lot of networking USB dongles seem to require OS X 10.4.11 or later. But Netgear are one of the better device manufacturers, so I'm hopeful it'll work just fine.

Unfortunately the Windows report doesn't offer anything terribly useful for us here.
I suspect this is some sort of configuration conflict rather than a file problem, though. Do you have another system you can try to open the files with? If not I'd be willing to try one here to see if it will open.

  • I had Microsoft Office installed in my Macbook Air by one of the technicians in the store, it was working fine the first week but after that it started popping a notice saying it cannot verify my suscription online and now I cannot open any documents?

I just bought a Macbook Air almost a month now. When I bought it, the technician installed Microsoft Office 365 as they were having a promotion at the time. However after a week of using it, it started popping up a notice saying that it cannot verify Microsoft Office. I still managed to open the word document but as of today, it will not open. I took it to the Mac store last week, and they said that there was nothing wrong with it and they could not figure out any problem.
I don't know what to do and I am in desperate need of help. I cannot open my documents at all and I have my research paper that I need to finish writing. This is very disappointing and extremely stressful for me. If anyone has any suggestions of how this can be fixed, please let me know. I do not want to lose my hard work =(

Microsoft Office 365 is a subscription - based service. You have to pay for it... and keep paying for it... and paying for it... as in 365 days a year... or lose your hard work.
Office Home Premium is a mere $10 a month, but a convenient annual subscription is only $100 a year. This is a substantial discount to Microsoft's Office 365 business products ($150 / employee / year).
Such a deal! Are you not absolutely thrilled?
Here are some slightly more reasonable alternatives, all of which are compatible with their Office equivalents:
    LibreOffice (donation-supported)
NeoOffice ($10 but older version is free if you can find it)
    OpenOffice (completely free)
    Numbers ($19.99)
    Pages ($19.99)
