Hi All
I have a requirement where i need to integrate a BSP application with UWL , need to launch a bsp applicatiN as Work item task in UWL .
I successfully integrated BSP application with UWL but wen we click the task BSP application launching in new pop up window but my client wants it with in portal only not as separate pop up.
Please help me out

I think you can uncheck the "use native fullscreen mode" somewhere in VLC's preferences.

PDF's open in seperate windows!

Please help............ my machine is running windows 2000 with version 8.1.2 of Adober Reader. Whenever I open a PDF file then Adobe opens but goes through all the other PDF's that I have ever opened and puts them all in seperate windows. As you can imagine, this is both annoying and disruptive..........please help! :-)

PDF files are supposed to open in separate windows in Reader 8 (by
default, you can turn this off). But it doesn't reopen anything, at
least not when it is working properly.
I'm guess that what is happening here is that you never closed the
other PDF files, so they are still open. You can check this by looking
in the Window menu - open PDFs are listed at the end.

How do I stop firefox from opening a seperate window whenever I click on a link to log into a different website with my social network account?

Whenever I try to log into a website (i.e. King of the Web.com,etc.) with my facebook account, a new window will appear behind my current window and when I click on it, it never shows up even when I minimize the current website, how do I get the new window to show so I can log in and vote for Tre Melvin? (P.S. vote for Tre!)

I think Facebook uses its facebook.net domain for this function. When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
Right-click this page and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the search box at the top of that dialog, change the domain to facebook.net and remove the site's cookies.
Then try using the login with FB feature again. Does it work?

When i close att mail- firefox closes other sites that i have open in seperate windows so have to reenter passwords there

How are you closing att mail? From a '''''Close window''''' button or link on a att mail web page? Is Private Browsing being used?

Flash URL open in same window

Hello. I have a flash slide on my site. The slide has next and previous buttons to either move to the next slide or the previous slide. Each slide is only an image. When you click a particular image it takes you to the page specific to the image you clicked.
My issue is this:
When you click the image, it opens the page in a new window. I would like to have the window open in the same window, but having issues figuring out how to do it.
The flash is controled by an image.xml script. I've added target= "_blank" to the xml, but the URLs are still opening in a seperate window. Any ideas how to get this done? I didnt create the flash, is it possible the issues lies within the .fla file?

Ned, thanks for the resonse. I've changed the xml file from _blank to _self, but still openes in a seperate window. In Firefox it opens in new tab. In IE it openes in a completely new window.
I've cleared my cache, closed the browser, and tried again. Still openes in seperate window. Think its within the action script?

Need to open separate Browser window

hi all, I want to display some data in a separate browser window instead of using popupManager. How do i do that. Also i need to pass parameter to that window, based on that parameter, i ll call the service and get the required data and display that in the datagrid.

to open a seperate window, you'd have to use the navigateToURL() function
to pass data to that window, you'd most likely need something like a GET method, if it's alot of data then you'd probably need to create a temporary file and pass a file reference via the GET method.
or you could look into swf-swf communication

2 simple questions about opening and closing seperate windows via iWeb...

I'm a web newbie, so please excuse me for my lack of terminology. My questions are... 1. How do i have iWeb open a separate browser window "simultaneously" from my main page to display a quicktime movie or piece of artwork? 2. Is it possible with iWeb to create a "close" window button within that same seperate window so that the veiwer does not have to click the red button in the upper left hand corner. Sorry! i meant I tried all of the links that are on your web page. There are quite a few of them and I watched most of the movies but there aren't any that open on a new window with a link to close it. I thought that happened because I had a pop-up blocker but even after dissabling the blocker and trying opening some of them again they still opened in the same window. I did come accross a couple of links that changed the window and made it do wacky thinks like moving fast left and right and forcing the window to get smaller. Kinda fun but this is not what I had in mind.. lol The rollover javascript is nice but I couldn't find it on the page's source. Is it the part that says "<script language="JavaScript1.2" src=..."? I'm just curious to know which software you used to make the flash movies and how difficult it was. Maya rocks by the way!

Interactive PDF button to open pdf in seperate window

I'm creating an Interactive Pdf in InDesign and I want my pdf to open another supplemental pdf (of seperate but related information) but I want to be able to return to the main pdf when I finish looking at the supplemental information. Is there a way to make the supplemental pdf open in a seperate window? or is there a way to create a back button in the supplemental information linking it back to the main pdf?

As far as I know, there's no way to do this in InDesign.
However, when creating a link in Acrobat Pro to another PDF file, you're given the option of having it open in the same window or in another window.So you should probably create those links in Acrobat instead.

Flash 11.8.800.94 opens in a seperate window?

I'm having a bit of trouble with running flash on firefox. If i'm trying to open a page that requires flash (youtube), then the player opens up in a seperate window. The player will be in the top left corner of my screen instead of where it's supposed to be on the page. This only happens on firefox and I can't figure out why. It's really weird and only started recently. I can't tell if this is a problem with flash or firefox. I have been having problems with updating firefox though (if that has anything to do with it). Any help that can be provided would be appreciated.

Try restarting with add-ons disabled (From the Help menu) and see if the issue persists. If it doesn't it's a Firefox add-on that's causing it. I'm curious as to what it would be, because I've seen this reported twice more here, but have never seen it myself.

Can i open reminders in a seperate window?

i am using reminders over icloud.
To track the progress of tasks I usually make logentries in each task until it is finished.
So I want to open the reminder in a seperate window to read all of the logs... not just the little grey Box in the "reminders" - App.
Can anybody tell me how this would work, or which other apps support icloud an ical to synchronize tasks and logentries between macs and iOS?

In Windows 8, you can show two apps side by side (with limited choices for a window width).
From the Microsoft's Get Started tutorials page
For Touch users: Use two apps at the same time

The smaller window (called the Snapped view) is the fixed width of 320 pixels for any screen size.
In Windows 8.1, you will be able to resize the window width. If you have a large screen, you can show up to four apps side by sdie.

Unable to open a seperate java console window with javascript:window.open()

Hi All,
I am opening a new window using javascript:window.open() function by clicking an hyperlink in a html document. In this new windows I am trying to load an applet. Only for the first time a java console window is displayed in windows system tray . How can I open a different java console window each time I open a new window ? Basically I want to run each applet in its own JVM and it seems that each applet loaded in new window is using the same JVM and hence only one java console window is seen in my system tray.

I do not want my firefox to open in tabs, I want it to open different windows, how can I reset it back to open in a seperate window?

I do not like opening up a tab and then typing in a URL to go where I want to go. It was much better when I could search for something, and it would come up in a separate window. How do I change it back?

You can hold down the Shift key while left-clicking a link on web pages.<br />
You can add a New Window button to a toolbar via "View > Toolbars > Customize" to open a new window when needed. You can also drag (text) links onto that button to open links in a new widow.

Can an advanced action open an image in a seperate window?

I am wondering if this is possible.
I am using an advanced action to Show/Hide an image. I would like the image to open in its own window so the user can move it to compare the pop-up image with the other image and instructions on my slide. (I have a TOC so I have limited space on the slide.) I think the advanced action might be Execute JavaScript because that choice gives me the option to open in new window. I am not savvy with writing JavaScript so any help would be great.

Hi Jeff,
Welcome to Adobe Forums.
In order to open an image in its own window you can go to Properties > Action > On Success > Open URL or File, in the URL box type the name of the image and from the drop down select New.
After publishing the project, copy and paste the image in the output folder and then you can view the output, this will open the image on a new window.

When I open up Chase Bank the window doesn't open up all the way it opens up as a seperate window inside blank tab

Like it says, I go to my bookmark for Chase Financial and it opens up inside the blank tab as a separate window on the left side. This is the only website that does this so it has me perplexed.

It is the default action in Firefox to open a new window with the home page(s).
A possibility to avoid that is a bookmarks (e.g. on the Bookmarks Toolbar) with the location set to about:blank and use Shift + left-click to open a blank window or set the Home page to about:blank and use a bookmark to open the home page.
