Opening Inspiration Browser
How do I open the Inspiration Browser? I have version 3.0.9 installed on my PC running Windows 7, using Elements 9. When I try to open the Browser from the Inspiration Browser icon, I get a message stating that I should open it from within Elements. If I open Elements, I don't see any place where I can click to open the Browser. If I just click on the download link, I get a box that says Inspiration Browser with the rotating symbol, but it never stops and I can't go any farther. What am I doing wrong?

Cannot open PDF tutorials in Inspiration Browser?
Hello, I have Photoshop Elements 7.0 & with it I would like to try using the Adobe Photoshop.com Inspiration Browser tutorials. However, every time I try to open a PDF tutorial on the Inspiration Browser I get an error message stating, "A sufficient version (8.1 or later) of Adobe Reader is detected, but the version of Adobe Reader that is setup to handle PDF content is older than Reader 8.1."
I do have 2 Adobe programs (other than Elements) on my computer. I have Adobe Acrobat Standard 6.0, & then I have Adobe Reader 9. I am using my work computer for this & we have to have both Standard 6.0 & Reader 9 for work purposes. My computer is set to automatically use Standard 6.0 if I click a PDF file, but I've tried changing this for the time being & the PDFs in the Inspiration Browser still will not open (I get the same error message even though if I click a PDF file on my computer with these settings changed Reader 9 does open it). I'm not sure why this is happening, because if I change the "open with..." settings to automatically use Reader 9 when I click a PDF, then it should be working in the Inspiration Browser, shouldn't it? The error message is stating I need 8.1 or later, which I obviously have with Reader 9.
I've tried restarting the Inspiration Browser (even tried restarting Elements as well), I've tried already having Reader 9 open when I click the "View PDF" button, but nothing is working. I just always get the same error message.
I obviously cannot delete/uninstall Standard 6.0 as I need it for my work, so I'm not sure what to do. If anyone knows a way to fix this, please share? Thanks!!!Have you tried posting in the Photoshop.com forum? It's doesn't have an icon but is listed in the pull down search box.

Sorry, that I'm no real help but at least your post will get bumped up to the top of the list. -

My opening window has an overlay saying "make sure to get the latest inspiration Browser. How xan I get the required download
You can't. There is basically no inspiration browser anymore. The best way around that is to stop using the welcome screen. Launch PSE by going to the Program Files or Program Files (x86) in Windows or the Applications folder on a Mac, and finding the actual .exe/application file for the organizer and/or editor and making a desktop shortcut/dock icon for the one(s) you choose.
The tutorials that were available via the IB have moved to tv.adobe.com and adobe's youtube channel. -
I'm having a problem installing the inspiration browser
When I run Photoshop Elements 10 the screen shows that inspiration browser needs to be updated. I uninstalled the older veresion, clicked on install. Then I get a screen that says that Adobe Air is required to be installed "press yes to continue". When I press "yes" I get a screen titled Adobe Air Installer that says "A download error occured. Try to download again." I hit retry and get the same result.
I uninstalled Adobe Air. Made sure that inspiration browser was uninstalled also, rebooted and tried it again. Same result. Checked task manager and no Adobe products were running. Anyone have any suggestions?

Instead of getting onto Premier Elements I got into Photoshop elements.
2) clicked on "Help" tab.
3) Clicked on "Elements Inspiration Browser". This brought up a logon screen to Photoshop.com.
4) Entered id and password, clicked on sign in. Failed.
5) Opened a new tab.
6) Went to Photoshop.com and signed in there.
7) Went back to the Photoshop Elements screen.
8) Repeated steps 2 & 3 which brought me to the install screen.
9) Clicked install and everything worked including the install of Adobe Air.

Update to inspirations browser fails in trial version of PSE 10
Downloaded trial version of PSE 10. The second time I opened the program the Welcome Screen had instructions on updating the Inspirations Browser, which I had been using to access tutorials. I deleted the browser from my hard drive as instructed then clicked on download. An error was returned "A download error occured. Try to down load again?". Appears to be downloading Adobe Air, but I can't be sure. I tried deleting Air and then tried Inspiration update again with same result.
No help from support, naturally, since it is trial version.
Windows Vista, sp2.Set IE as your default browser.

Photoshop Elements 10 and Inspiration Browser installation help needed.
Photoshop Elements 10 said delete Inspiration Browser, then reinstall.Keep getting "download error". Was able to install Adobe AIR. Now what do I do?
If you are using the welcome screen try updating directly from the Organizer but first open your web browser and make sure you are logged in to Photoshop.com on-line.
Then launch Photoshop Elements Organizer
On the menu bar click Help >> Elements Inspiration Browser
Enter your ID and password
In the installation dialog click Install -
Inspiration Browser won't download.
hello,
I followed the directions , uninstalled Inspiration Browser, clicked DOWNLOAD for the update and nothing happened. I also updated Adobe Air.
Windows 7 Professional OS
Please help
Thanks
FrankHi Frank, try starting over. Uninstall AIR and IB. Then do ctrl+alt+delete and open the processes tab in task manager. Highlight any running Adobe application or process and end it. Use the link below and it will install both IB and AIR.
Inspiration Browser Get Update Now -
Inspiration Browser not in Help menu - Elements 9 Mac
Mac OS 10.6.7.
Elements 9 has been installed/activated/registered and in slight use since November/10. Online update in January. No usage problems so far.
However...while exploring the program recently in Community Help to learn more, I came across the Inspiration Browser. It's supposed to be accessed via the Help drop-down menu, but it's not there. However, it's installed in what seems to be the appropriate folder (Applications/Adobe). When I launched it from there it opened, but an on-screen message said it should be launched from within the Edit workspace.
Chat support wasn't much help and suggested uninstall/reinstall, which would require resetting all my preferences, and I'm not sure IB is worth the effort. Chat gave me a tech 800 number. Before I go that route, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
wwj
PS: I don't think it's relevant, but just in case...Elements 8 is still installed on my setup..Oh dear, how quickly unimportant things get complicated. The answer
to your question is no.
However, in my on-line search within the Adobe labyrinth for support
re my "issue" I began by signing in to my Adobe account, or whatever
it's called, and selecting my country (Canada). As I worked my way
through the support maze of questions to refine my query, it appears
that I was automatically transferred south of the border by the
support system. At no time was I informed that as a foreign national
I couldn't proceed. Curiously, if the IB is US-only, how was I able
to post without being flagged?
Anyway, let's not make a big deal out of no big deal. Are you able to
tell me if I have any on-line recourse within Adobe for addressing my
Elements 9 "issue"?
>Do you have a photoshop.com account from the US? The IB is US-only.

Problems installing Inspiration Browser with PSE 10
I have PSE 9 and recently installed PSE 10 on my Windows Computer running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. When I try to access the Adobe photoshop Inspiration Browser from either the introductory window or the HELP drop down in the Organizer, I am told that the Inspiration Browser is not installed and would I like to install it. I download the file adobephotoshopdotcominspirationbrowser.air and when I click install, I get the following message in the Application Window. "Sorry an Error has occurred. The application could not be installed because an application with that name already exixts at the selected installation location. Try installing to a different location."
I have removed and reinstalled Adobe AIR and still get the same message. I have searched and cannot file the file that is supposed to be there.
I have downloaded the Inspiration Browser program to the desktop and can open it from there, but then get a message that the Inspiration Browser should be opened from Photoshop Elements or it won't work properly. That fact seems to be true.
I have experienced the same problem with PSE 9 and could never open the Inspiration Browser in that program either.
I would appreciate help if anyone can suggest a solution.
Thanks.
Robert C. NobleAre you resizing the photo before save for web?
What settings are you using in the save for web dialog for the jpeg quality?
If you compress the jpeg too much (low quality settings below 60), that can make your photos look bad.
And save for the web in pse 10 automatically strips any metadata in order to keep the file sizes smaller.
Also, the save for web in pse 10 has a bad habit of not remembering your last used settings, so it's good to verify that your actually set to jpeg instead of the default GIF setting.

Trouble downloading (HOW TO UPDATE THE INSPIRATION BROWSER)
I have Photoshop Elements 10. Iwent into Start Menu, selected Control Panel (as directed)
In the Programs category: I selected uninstall a program. I selected Adobe Photoshop.com - Inspiration Browser & uninstalled. I clicked the button to download to install the update & I was not able to do it. (error occurred)
I'm new at this & now I do not know what to do. Please advise.
I'm also having problems sharing photos. Why?Is it true the IB is no longer applicable? [See comment below]. But my problem is that I deleted IB and Air as directed, but now when I open Elements the "barbershop pole" for Gathering User Info just keeps going without ever getting user info [probably because I uninstalled IB]. When I tried to download IB according to the "Download" button, I'm directed to http://eib.assyst.net/PIB/AdobePhotoshopDotcomInspirationBrowser.html
but that never gets anywhere. Help!!! -
Inspiration Browser In Photoshop Elements?
Is the Insporation Browser open only when Photoshop Elements is in use or does it function as any other browser?
Hi,
I updated the title to make it more relevant to this discussion. Can you try the solution mentioned in this doc and let us know if you still have problems?

Cannot update or access inspiration Browser after installing Photoshop 10
I have followed the Inpiration browser update instruction on Photoshop elements welcome page. With error message when downloading Adobe Air.
I uninstalled Adobe Air and Inspiration browser, then tried to download again and received the same error message. I also tried it with my firewall disabled. Same results.
Currently neither Adobe Air or Inspiration browser installed.Hi
Solution 1: Move required files to launch Inspiration Browser from the Welcome Screen.
If you use the Welcome Screen regularly to launch the Inspiration Browser, use this solution.
This solution involves making an additional copy of an existing folder, PhotoshopdotcomInspirationBrowser, in a second location. The source folder is in the Program Files(x86)\Adobe. Place a copy of the file in the Program Files\Adobe folder.
Navigate to the C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe folder (assuming that your operating system is installed on the C: drive).
Highlight the PhotoshopdotcomInspirationBrowser folder, right-click, and choose the Copy command.
Navigate to the C:\Program Files\Adobe folder. Right-click and choose the Paste command.
Launch Adobe Premiere Elements 10, and use the Welcome Screen to open the Photoshop Inspiration Browser.
Solution 2: Launch Inspiration Browser from within Adobe Premiere Elements 10 instead of the Welcome Screen.
Launching the Inspiration Browser from within the Elements application doesn't result in the same behavior as when launched from the Welcome Screen.
From the Welcome Screen, click either Organize, New Project, or Open Project.
Click the lightbulb icon (on the lower-right corner) to launch the Elements Inspiration Browser.
(Alternative method, in Organizer only) From the pop-up menus along the top, choose Help > Elements Inspiration Browser.
Hope It Helps
