Opening Muse.

Hello, I have a case number: 210961871.  My Adobe Muse will not open today.  It is saying Unable to Validate Your Subscription and that I have 00 days remaining.  This is not the case, I have an annual subscription.  PLease help.

I apologize for inconvenience.  We are currently performing maitenance on some of our servers.  Unfortunately, its taking longer than expected.  We expect that it should be available within 60 minutes.

    All future installs/updates of Muse (and most other Adobe apps) are through the Creative Cloud desktop app. Thus you do need to have it installed.
    Are you on Windows or Mac? What OS version?

    Since posting the above, I have resolved a sensible work-around in regard to ebookstores which prefer us to have separate accounts for our separate Adobe IDs.
    However, I really would appreciate it if anyone here can confirm that a DRM controlled book does actually become associated with a particular Adobe ID account at the time of first download to Digital Editions on that PC/device.
    Two large book stores have said using my account with them to download books to our two separate Adobe IDs is OK, but I don't want to find my husband is unable to open his downloaded books.

    What version of adobe AIR are you using? Please try to upgrade it to the latest version. If the problem still exist, please uninstall Muse. Then create a new admin account. Login with the new admin account and then install Muse again.

  • I cannot open Muse CC. This means I have no access to my website since I updated Muse last week.

    Each time I try to open Muse CC I get an arror message: "trying to instantiate UID U22065 but last allocated UID is only 22063".
    Any action I make shuts the programme down.

    Could you "name names" on your host and/or the control panel it uses? That may help in searching for past threads about that particular software to either find a workaround or confirm that it is an unsolved problem.
    Meanwhile, could you also check for error messages in Firefox's Browser Console? Here's how I suggest doing that:
    (1) Open Firefox's browser console using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+j
    * "3-bar" menu button > Developer > Browser Console
    * (menu bar) Tools > Web Developer > Browser Console
    (2) Click the Clear button to flush the existing messages
    (3) Reload the page containing the upload button, then check for script or security error messages in the console
    (4) Click the Upload button and select a file, then check for any new messages in the console
    (5) If there is a final step to submit the file or start the upload process, trigger that and check for any new messages
    You can select and copy (Ctrl+c) content from the console into a reply for comment by volunteers. However, you can ignore style warnings as those seldom will block functionality ("unclick" the CSS button at the top of the console to temporarily hide those messages).

    1.  quit the app (from the task bar) and relaunch.  if that fails:
    2.  Remove the OPM.db file and relogin into the Creative Cloud desktop application using the Adobe ID tied to your subscription.
        Mac OS: You can locate the OPM.db file in the \User\<user name>\Library\Application Support\Adobe\OOBE folder. To access the hidden user Library folder, see Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 Lion.
        Windows: You can locate the OPM.db file in the \Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE folder.  To view the hidden AppData folder, see Show hidden files, folders, filename extensions | Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7.

    What action is being attempted when the error appears? Most often such an error will be specific to the combination of something in a specific .muse file and the specific action you're attempting.
    Please send us the .muse file and the MuseLog.txt file from your "Documents" folder at [email protected] along with a link to this thread. If the files are larger than 20Mb you can use a service like Adobe SendNow, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc. (If you use a service, please include your return e-mail address in the body of the message, since not all services include it in the sharing invite they send.)     I have the same problem.  It says trial is expired, so I select the "sign in now" button.  After sign in, it comes up with a place to enter a serial number.  The only two other options are "back" and "next".

    I cannot open the .muse file.  The site was saved as a .muse the saved as html and uploaded to web.  Customer has a change and the .muse file will not open.  The error I get is Error Assert: "Corrupt XML in database record U1 class MuseSite".  How can this be fixed? What happened? Please help. I took the html version to DreamWeaver but it is very discombobulated on the design screen and strange coding on the code view.  Please help, customer needs this change asap.

  • Can not open Muse File due to Corrupt XML

    I can not open my muse file and make changes to my website.  When I try to open the file, I get this message:
    An Error Has Occured
    Assert: "Corrupt XML in database record U10684 class BoxPageItem"
    I have no idea what to do or what could have even happened!!!  Any help is appreciated!

    Ugh. Well, first priority should be determining what hard drive in your workflow is failing. Odds are you have many other files (from the different applications you use, as well as Muse) with random bytes that are scrambled.
    Unfortunately, with this type of random scrambling of bytes throughout a .muse file, it's very difficult to determine the extent of the damage without investing the full time to attempt to repair the file. Attempting a repair would take hours of effort and likely at least a few days chronologically. In the end it would be very difficult to determine when/if the file was fully repaired. If a repair appeared to be successful, I would be concerned the file would have lingering scrambled bytes that would manifest as abberant behavior in Muse in the future.
    That said, after discussing things at length with a fellow developer we're going to try a few things to attempt to get a better picture of just how widespread the damage is. If it turns out to be pervasive, then the file is beyond repair (or at least it would take less time to recreate from scratch in Muse than it would to attempt to repair). If the corruption turns out to be more isolated or has a consistent pattern, we may be able to repair the file at least to the level we can no longer easily detect scrambled bytes.
    We probably won't have an update before tomorrow.

  • Receiving upsampling warning when opening Muse

    I am receiving a warning about an image being smaller than the space it is in, that it is being upsampled. Muse's warning says I should go to my assets and rework the image.
    I have done that and am not even sure which image it would be in the Assets panel in the first place. If it is the one I think it is I have reduced the space that the image is in, actually matched the WxH to the image perfectly and the warning did not go away. I closed Muse and re-opened it twice to see if this warning would go away and it does not.
    Again, the top-bottom.jpg image now is the same dimensions as the div it is placed into and the warning will not go away.

    Is the square pixellated icon in the warnings column the warning symbol/image that Muse is alerting me to?
    Now that I have corrected the space dimensions that he image sits in, how can I make the warning go away?

    Hmmm, Muse is a bit quirky. I tried relinking the image, that didn't remove the warnings. I then deleted the image and re-placed it and that finally did away with the warnings. Problem solved. Hope this helps someone else.
