I can't open new tabs from links in a site, while it is possible from chrome.

In this site http://www.thepressproject.gr/ I can't open the links in new tabs, while for the same site using chrome I can. When I right click on the link, i don't have the usual options (open in new tab, open in new window, bookmark etc.). It is as if it doesn't "see" the links at all and the options are for the main page.
What is wrong?

That is a really strange issue. I've never heard of it before nor can I figure out how to fix it. What I'd recommend doing is disabling all your add-ons to see if that fixes the problem. If it does, one of your add-ons is causing the issue. If it doesn't, try [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|starting Firefox is Safe Mode]] to see if the issue disappears. If the problem doesn't happen in Safe Mode, it's a problem with something that runs in Firefox when you start it normally (could be settings, plug-ins, add-ons, etc). When opening new tab, how to make me able to type in the adress bar directly without clicking on it? -- (about:config reset and add-on doesn't work)

Need a help relating New Tab on Mozilla.
I want to be able to directly type in the address bar everytime I open a new tab in Mozilla, without clicking anything. To be clearer, it means that everytime I open the new tab, the blinking cursor is already on the address bar.
What's happening right now is everytime I open new tab, the cursor is not placed anywhere--not on the search bar on the page, not on the address bar. I should put the cursor somewhere to do something.
I tried using the about:config reset (1) and installing custom new tab (2), but both do not work.
When I tried the about:config reset the Reset button is not highlighted (I assume it means it's default already), and the Custom New Tab doesn't yield in different result.
What confuse me is 2 days ago my Mozilla works just fine. Everytime I opened a new tab, the blinking cursor was on the address bar and I was able to type directly.

I read the link you copied on the first post and also tried your recommendation above. None seem to work. Even if I disable all add-ons, the problem still persists.
One other info, this problem seem to appear after I installed several program yesterday. These programs apparently installed other programs that set my homepage and main search engine to a particular website. But I installed all of these programs already. Would that be a cause of the problem?

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed the "Downlite" or "VSearch" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.

How do I get Firefox to open new tabs with my homepage instead of the top sites?

By default in Firefox a new tab opens a blank page. You have something installed which changed that action, and that "something" sounds like it may not be working correctly.

Navigation bar opens new tabs for links on the same site - only newer versions of FireFox does this! Why?

I've used this custom navigation bar for nearly a decade. New versions of FireFox open new tabs when I navigate to different pages on my weather site. Very annoying!!! when i open new tab using ctrl+left click it moving directly to the next tab, but i check the option menu then tab section, all sentence has a tick except the fifth one
i can't remove this to the origin, and i uninstall firefox and reinstall it many time

Firefox is opening new tabs on corrupted sites on it's own

I am using Firefox on a Samsung NC10 running XP Professional.
About 4 weeks ago I was hit with a fake Malware virus, which I have successfully removed using Malwarebytes and Registry Mechanic.
Since then Firefox is periodically opening new tabs for no reason which invariably take me to unsafe corrupted websites.
Can you tell me how I can stop this happening

My computer was also unable to access the Microsoft update site, so I had to use another computer and a usb drive.
I ran a full scan which took several hours, but it found an infection that Malwarebytes and AVG didn't.
Following the scan I was able to update from Microsoft update and, so far, no more spurious pages starting on their own

Pop-Ups ALWAYS opening new tabs in Safari 8.0

I was recently helping my boyfriend and had downloaded "unsafe" downloads onto my MacBook Pro Mid 2012 on Safari 8.0 and directly after downloading these links there are continuous pop ups showing up that are opening new tabs and they usually pertain to what I am looking up. Such as when I was logging into Apple Support MacKeeper and other various websites for virus protecting programs pop up. Also my home page is changed to a different site (the name is something along the lines of "Only" and their home page looks JUST LIKE Googles). Pop ups are happening ALL the time and it's getting very frustrating. I downloaded MacKeeper awhile back but I believe I was successfully able to uninstall it. Even when I am clicking on a link on Google or I accidentally tap my mouse pad and it clicks on my current website a pop up opens a new tab. I have cleared my caches, history, and cookies. My firewall, firevault, and all other precautions are turned on. What can I do to fix this problem I am having? ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thank you in advance (:

PS. I let my boyfriend barrow my computer last night so he could restore his iphone but it looks like he tried to download a few things and was successful at downloading more plug ins for me... Not so great. I've been trying to get rid of genieo forever now aand he reinstalled it again. Looks like I'm the only one using this from now on!

Open New Tab Question

Recently when I click the Open New Tab button the page has some of my Bookmarked sites shown, nothing but a blank rectangle and the name of the link.
Not sure why this started happening or how to fix it

When I open new tabs it is an AOL tab. I have Fire F as my homepage? How do I change this?

I set my home page to mozilla or yahoo, but when I open new tabs it keeps bringing up AOL search engine. I don't want this b/c it is useless and always brings up irrelevant search results. How do I change what tabs open up after homepage is set?

You should just be able to choose whatever search engine you prefer

There is however a possibility you may have some toolbar or other software installed that is changing setting. Initially look in your Firefox addons and Windows control panel for unwanted software

IE 11 open new tab opens new window, clicking open new tab opens black page in same tab

Hi I have a problem with IE11 on Windows 8.1 Desktop mode which is driving me crazy.
When i click on the open new tab button it will open in the same tab in the same window and you cant go to any website and the website on where on's address is still in the address bar.
Right click a link and select open new tab most of the time opens new window with long pause.
I have tried everything to fix this even re installing windows, but the problem persists after re install as i think its attaching itself to my Microsoft account.
I have disabled all add-ons run virus and walware scans reset IE to defaults removed and re-installed IE all to no avail!
Any help would be much appreciated.
