Opening Photoshop after updating the free trial

My 30 day trial has finished so I have just joined Creative Cloud (Student and Teacher Edition).  After updating Photoshop on the Creative Cloud app, I can't seem to open it.  When I click on Photoshop, all I seem to get is 'Your trial has expired' and 'Liscence This Software'.  How do I do that? Do I need to enter a serial number? If so, where do I get that from? I haven't received an email about it.

    Thank you for helping. When I click on Apple to update it, it says everyhting is up to date. When I go on Java site to update it says to go to the apple button and update it from there.
    So its sending me round in circles. Ive tried to follow the Java advice to check whether it is installed but the information on their website doesn't match the information on my mac.

  • Why can't I open Illustrator after downloading a free trial?

    I have successfully downloaded Illustrator and Photoshop but keep on receiving a message telling me that either my computer is offline or the clock on my computer is set incorrectly, causing a connection error. Neither of these is true. Can anyone help?

    Thanks, I tried the live help yesterday and spent nearly two hours with them without any success. Then I called my computer engineer son to come over ( I normally try not to bother him). He uninstalled my firewall protection, and got another one on. That seemed to sort out all sorts of problems. However he thinks I have a fundamental problem with the way the machine is set up, so it may only be a temporary situation. However I finally have Illustrator opened!

  • Why oftentimes after downloading the free trial it won't continue to show the application wizard that will finish to install it

    The "help" section is clear about the requirements to be met before downloading it. I guess very often people who tried to download this trial keep forgetting to verify their email first that is why the completed download files won't go through. Wish this helps...

    Since I tried the free Adobe XI pro version, I elected not to purchase and now I can't open any adobe products, what do I need to do to fix this?

                   I HAVE WINDOWS 8, YES I HAVE UNINSTALLED IT, THAT DIDN’T HELP. Error message when attempting to open PDF files; Adobe reader could not open – ‘96463_plans_0063^a2_08_plans_building.jpg’ because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn’t correctly decoded). For one, this file was never a jpg file nor was it ever sent as an email and it worked just fine until the program expired and the message would come up that I needed to purchase the program to continue opening item’s that I could open prior to trying the free trial. I deleted the free trial and now I get the message that it is a corrupted file. Not all pdf files that I have are affected, it appears only the ones that I opened while trying the free trail. Nor does it affect new pdf files, we are a business and the computers are connected through a peer to peer network and I can view them on another computer. I believe the when the free trial ended the program left so sort of marker (maybe the jpg) on these files on my computer that does not allow me to open my files from my computer. On the screen the appear to be pdf files, on other computers they are pdf files, but the program on exit put a jpg designation on them and now I can’t open them even as a picture (jpg) file as it comes up as a corrupted file. Is this salvageable or am I just screwed as to recovering my files?

    Sounds like you maybe trying to download with firefox. In Internet explorer it will automatically switch to the correct application, but with firefox it prompts you instead.
    Scroll down the window and find content manager. That will download the installer. Run the installer, after the installer has finished and the manager runs. Open the manager if it is not already, then from there you can select illustrator. It will install it for you.

    I changed the Enable LUA value from "1" to "0" and the Dreamweaver.exe now opens and the files install without problems!! I can now open my trial version of Dreamweaver.

    I downloaded the free trial for Photoshop tonight about 11ish and once it finished downloading I tried to open it and it came up saying my trial has expired. so I uninstalled creative cloud and Photoshop and tried again I've done that 3 times now and there's no change? I've never had Photoshop on this laptop before or even had an adobe account on this e-mail, I'm a graphic student at college and really need Photoshop for this project.

    Sometimes if you sign out (deactivate) then sign back in it works.

Reading the FAQ, it appears that after the expiry of the free trial, if I do not sign up and pay, I will only be able to view my pictures on the desktop but not edit them - surely this cannot be true.     When I was signed into Adobe (which was a requirement for installing the upgrade), Lightroom 6 told my at the top right corner that I had 30 days left of my free trial of Lightroom Mobile and Creative Cloud. In parallel with this forum posting, I am chatting with Adobe support. he is away to find out how to prevent any synching with Creative Cloud during the 30 day free trial. I do not think that Creative Cloud is an application that gets installed on your PC. I think Lightroom 6 has it built in, and can use it if if you are signed up to the Creative Cloud and Lightroom Mobile (which I am for 30 days)

    You can although did it not also identify a troubleshooting document for you to use?  The package for support option will simply make the installation log available for Adobe employees to review.  If you would like to respond with your token number I would be happy to look at the log file.
    Alternately you can follow the directions listed in Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.  This is exactly the same process which I would use to review your installation log.

    Have you run the iPhoto Library Upgrader? You need to direct it to the location of your old iPhoto Library by clicking the "Choose Library" button in the lower right corner of the panel you are seeing when the upgrade starts.
