Opening Photoshop Elements 11 in IMAC
Why does my Photoshop elements 11 not have "Open As" in the File menu on my IMAC when the same program is on my PC and does have the "Open As" under file. I want to open JPEG files on my IMAC

Every time I try to open Photoshop Elements 12, it opens the Adobe login, after I login the program does not open:( Help please?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit") -
Cannot open Photoshop Elements. Receive error message 400 (Photoshop services are currently unavailable. Please try again later (I have) or check your network connections (they are OK). Error 400.
Photoshop.com is no longer available. The service transferred to Revel.
Ignore the sign-in altogether.
You may need to turn off Sync in Organizer prefs if you have it activated. -
I tried to open Photoshop Elements 11. I got a message that components of the application are missing and that I needed to reinstall Photoshop Elements. I purchased the software by downloading it from Adobe so how can I reinstall it?
Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there.

Trouble opening photoshop elements after download.
I am having trouble opening photoshop elements. When I get done downloading it, it opens up as a text document in textedit.
Applications --> Utilities --> Disk Utility
Repair your stuff and/ or fix the archive. And also refer to the topic on teh front page about issues on OSX 10.7.

Organizer opens, Photoshop Elements 12 does not, please help!
I am having a problem getting Photoshop Elements to OPEN, in fact it does not open. Organizer opens just fine.
I have a new computer...running Windows 8.1 I have installed, uninstalled, over and over and also brought computer back to origional state.

I recommend removing and reinstalling iTunes using these steps:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

From where did you purchase Elements? If you didn't get it from the Mac App Store, from where did you get it and what is the file format, or just the full name of the file?

How do I open Photoshop Elements 12
I have an old Adobe Photo Shop Album Starter 3.2 that is locked up all my photos in my windows XP computer. I tried to register it again but got nowhere. The phone and chat room to Adobe was of no help. I just downloaded a trial version of Element 12. It is in the download document file. I can not get it to run or open. Any suggestions? Thanks, Harold

Unable to open Photoshop Elements 2.0
I just installed Leopard (OS X 10.5.8) and get this error message when I try to open Photoshop Elements 2.0: "An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred because of a program error. Photoshop will now exit." My guess is that Photoshop Elements 2.0 will not run on Leopard. Is this true and is there a Mac software compatibility list somewhere so I can be sure I buy the correct version of Photoshop Elements? Thanks.
Yes, it's true that Elements 2 won't run on Leopard. Which is a pity; it's my favourite version. I had to "downgrade" to Elements 4 when I installed Leopard.

I changed my HD "C". After reinstalling P Element 2 I got a problem. I can't open Photoshop Element. Error message is "Your working disc is full" But I have 61Go free on "C" HD and more than 1To free on "D" disc.
Try resetting the pse 2 preferences and see if that clears things up.

Press and hold down the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys just after starting the launch of pse 2
Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to Delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File

when I am opening photoshop elements 10 I see my desktop picture into photoshop elements 1- and I don't know how to avoid that. Does anybody know I can get rid of that picture, so that I only see the workspace of Elements?
