Opening sap transaction in uwl to webdynpro java screen

Hi Poral Gurus
I am new  to uwl concept . we are in  the process of the Leave apply and approval . the work items are displayed in the sbwp
which comes in uwl . when we click on the item in work list it is opening the sap transaction, but the requirement is there any way to convert the sap transaction view to the webdypro java screen  . the screen should not no way look like the sap transaction but it should look like which is developed in webdynpro java using nwds
The problem here is the work item is opening the sap logon when an work item is being clicked and the screen also is not exactly what we look in sbwp. it is having a different look. the screen is becomming small where the user has to use scroll bars to navigate to particular input element, but in sbwp it is showing the full screen.
Please help on this is there any way to solve this problem.
Thanks
prasad

Hi,
Let us know whether you are using the standard Leave request application with standard workflow or customized screen.
If you are using Custom development for the approval screen, then Make sure that you have mapped your custom development screen to the workflow task in SWFVISU.
Then Re-register the UWL system in portal which is available in the below location.
System administration - system configuration - universal worklist and workflow u2013 universal worklist administration - Universal worklist systems - re-register the workflow system.
Thanks,

  • Calling a SAP Transactional iview into a WebDynpro

    Hi,
Can we call a sap Transactional URL through a webdynpro Application?
I need to call a SAP Transaction using a webdynpro Link.Is it possible by creating a SAP Transactional Url and then calling this Transactional URL Through a link of WebDynPro.If so how?
    Regards,
    Raja Akella.

    Raja,
In one of the client we needed to create a lot of iviews pointing to SAP transactions and then put them in Detailed Navigation. Sort of like user menus in SAPGUI. I ended up creating mass content for this. There is a <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/964">weblog</a> you can refer or better the <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/aaa54576-0501-0010-2a91-d4aeb886bc27">howto</a> guide.

  • WebDynpro Java Screen Feasibility

    Hi,
I am trying to understand the Feasibility of this Requirements solution from SAP WebDynpro Java perspective.
    Requirements-
    1)     Design a SAP WebDynpro Java screen. On click of upload button read an Excel sheet which contains Part no1 & Part no2 records. In an excel sheet there is 6,000 records.
    2)     Whenever a record is read from the Excel it will search the unique combination of Part no1 & Part no2 in the database (in this case SAP MDM Data Manger). The database contains 7,00,000 records which is not indexed/ sorted..
    3)                   6000 times (excel sheet records) step 2 is repeated
    4)     For each record the output can be zero, one or more records. The output need to be displayed/ generated in Excel sheet
    5)     Concurrently this functionality is used by 5 users.
    Question-
    a)     Do this requirement can be achieved using SAP WebDynpro Java ? If yes, then from performance perspective how much time it take to upload the excel sheet & create a new Excel sheet  functionality?
    b)     If No, then why ?
I am trying to understand whether this requirement is Feasible (Y/ N) with valid reasons?
Any valid inputs will be highly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Hi Robin,
Let me advise SAP MDM administrator to index the database.
    1) If it is indexed and if it works then as proximity how much time it take to read and generate an excel sheet ?
    2) Suppose after indexing the database is not indexed/ it does not work (limitation from DB perspective) then proximity how much time it take to read and generate an excel sheet ?
This requirement is feasible (Y/N) from WebDynpro Java perspective ?
Also could you please clarify this sentence - "But don't do it while reading the file, the I/O will drain your performance)".
Thank you for the  prompt reply.

  • SAP transaction in UWL

    Hello Experts,
We have developed 1 SAP transaction (module pool) for our workflow which executes in backend completely workitems are accessed from SAP inbox.
This transaction basically has 2 buttons - > approve n reject and 1 text box with rejection reason. We have developed on method and using call transaction syntax this transaction is showed to approver. This is working fine from SAP inbox
This same SAP custom screen we need to show in UWL as approver might want to take decision from UWL ( add on to initial requirement).
Can you please help me to understand what all configuration required to acheive the same.
Do I need to do changes in the code on Appove Reject button as it is straighly updating custom table entries?
I checked for existing SDN post but somehow couldnt understand completely.
UWL backend is the same ECC system where transaction is developed.
    Kindly help.
    Regards,
    Hema

    Hi,
First thing you need to do to as Portal team to change the XML code for the above standard task ( type TS ) so that workitem/task are visible in the UWL ( Universal Worklist ).
After this changes task/workitem will be avilable from the next run of the workflow. If you click on the task/workitem the SAP R/3 ( may required user id password ) screen will be launched in where you can get the same option as in SBWP.
    Optional :
You can do another thing. Create a Separate Webdynpo Application ( WDA ) where you need to put all the option as SBWP by coding.
After that you need to configure the SWFVISU.
    Run Tcode SWFVISU.
here, select "Task Visualization' and maintain your standard task ( TS ) with ABAP web dynpro option.
Now selct your entry and click on Visualization Parameters as mentopn below.
APPLICATION ( WD application name )
    DYNPARAM
    NAMESPACE
    SYSTEM_ALIAS
Second, ask Portal team to chagne the XML code for the above standard task and application ( i.e. WD appilcation which will be launced on clicking the task ).
From the next run of the workflow, WD applcitoon will be lauched from the protal.
for the old workitem this will not work.
Note : If u do not configure SWFVISU then WD application will not lauch but user will get SAP gui screen for processing it. XML code must be changed corresponding task for both case.
    Thanks and regards,

  • Opening SAP Transactions in a Maximised New Window

    Hi,
I have an SAP Transaction iview that should open an SAP WinGui Transaction in a maximized new window.
I have set the following properties
    Launch In =1
    Height Type = FULL_PAGE
Height of External Window = -1
Width of External Window = -1
The new window is opened and the correct transaction is run, but the window is not maximised, and changinging the values of the properties of Width/Height of External Window has no effect.
The portal version is EP6.0 SP2 Patch 4 Hotfix 7
    Thanks Hugh

    Hi Nalla,
I suggest you the below points to achieve your requirement
Create a view V_FPM_APP and insert an iFrame ui element
Create an attribute FPM_URL as string and bind it to the source of iFrame ui element
Create a window, W_FPM_APP and embed the view V_FPM_APP
Now, you can use method CREATE_WINDOW of interface IF_WD_WINDOW_MANAGER to open the FPM application and pass parameter MODEL = ABAP_TRUE
You can register the onClose action of popup window to your own action on view as below
data lo_view_ctrl type ref to if_wd_view_controller.
              lo_view_ctrl ?= wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
              lo_window->set_on_close_action(
                   exporting
                        view = lo_view_ctrl
                        action_name = 'ON_CLOSE'
Create an action ON_CLOSE in view from where the popup window is called
Now, you get the control when user closes the popup window, so, you can refresh the main view
Also other way, you can use the concept component usages to achieve your requirement
    Hope this helps you.

    Rama

  • Launch SAP Transaction from UWL and decision views

    Hi,
    Q1:
we wan't to launch a SAP Transaction from the Universal Worklist. Does anyone know how to do this explicitly?
    Q2:
I have tried to add decisions directly to a List View, i.e. with the reject and approve columns. The columns do appear, but the checkboxes are not visible. From the log I can see a warning "No Custom Attribute exists for item ...".
The three options do appear correctly when you go to the details view for the item, and I did apply the same values for the actions (1,2,3).
Does anyone know how to do this?
PS! I have read the How To document, but could not find the answer there, nor in this forum.
    Thanks,
    Mikkel

  • Open a transaction in a block of the screen (urgent)

    Hi all,
    I've a problem.
I have a program splited in 5 parts in the my main screen (by blocks) I want to open an sap transaction (VA01) in one block of my screen.
    How i can do that?
    Thanks

    Hi Yukimai,
I think u want to include Selection Screen similar to VA03 in a block of your program. If this is the case then you have to manually create screen parametrs like present in VA03 in a particular block of your screen.
Then using the values entered by user on this part of your custom program u can call transaction VA01 as
set the parametrs for transaction VA03 eg.
SET PARAMETER ID 'AUN' FIELD p_cobl-kdauf.
    call transaction.
CALL TRANSACTION 'VA01' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
This will execute VA01 in with the values pupulated through SET statement.
you can also call VA01 in background mode as
CALL TRANSACTION 'VA01' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN MODE 'N'.
    Hope this will help you.
    Award reward points if useful.

  • Passing parameters to an ITS Transaction iView Table from Webdynpro Java

    Hi,
I am calling the IW44 transaction from Webdynpro using ITS, and would like to pass a list of Confirmation Numbers as screen parameters. When I pass parameters to AFRUD-RUECK, I can fill one cell, but my question is how to fill up each row as the technical name will be the same?
    Thanks

    Try this
    <AFRUD-RUECK1>=<parameter1>
    &<AFRUD-RUECK2>=<parameter2>

  • Interaction between SAP Transaction Iview to webdynpro application

    Hi All,
I have a requirement where in,
I have one SAP Transaction Iview and one Webdynpro (Java) Iview,
Now what I have to do is,
I need to call Webdynpro app ( or iview) as a pop up from Transation Iview (e.g. click on some button on SAP screen),
    webdynpro screen will be opened,
do some processing there (calling some web service, getting some data from an external system) and then posting response data back to some screen field in Transaction Iview.
It is like on a standard SAP transaction, I want to open my custom webdynpro screen to do some data operation and fill response data back to SAP screen once that is done.
any ideas would be heavily appreciated and rewarded!!!!!
    Regards
    Deepak

I wrote the code like below:
    WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute("ROLES://<IViewPath>", WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_EXTERNAL,
    (String)null,
    (String)null,
    WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.ALLOW_DUPLICATIONS,
    (String)null,
    (String)null,
    "number=123456");
In IView application property, I wrote:
    CRMT_SEARCH_LOC-CARD_NO=<Request.number>
(L.H.S is the screen field name)
then I got following exception at portal:
An exception occurred while processing a request for :

  • Reusability of Adobe form created in SFP in a WebDynpro Java application

    Hi Experts,
Can some one advise me how I can use the pdf form created in ABAP side (Transaction SFP) in the WebDynpro Java application?
What is the procedure to include this pdf object in the WebDynpro application development?
    Regards,
    Shobhit

    Hi,
You can add customised UI elements by a right click in your library pallette/ ot by dragging the ui elelments into the pallette. Like wise you can put your layout into the library pallette and reuse them. You may refer the Adobe life cycle designer (ALCD) help for it.
the second option i meant was after designing the layout in the SFP transaction, click on the PDF preview tab in the layout. Save the PDF.

The LORD in the name of the component stands for Light Order - in other words LORD_MAINTAIN_COMP isn't a complete replacement for VA01/VA02/VA03.  There are some of the more advanced features of order entry that haven't been brought over to the Web Dynpro version yet.

  • Webdynpro java

How to access SAP R/3 table in webdynpro java in nwds? can u pls tell me steps for that.
    Thanks,

    Steps:
    Create a model.
when we are creating we have to provide Model and Meta data destinations for Adaptive RFC model and we have provide sap logon details to access a bapi from R/3.
specify a bapi you want to choose and click on search .
Add this model to the component.
you find usedmodels when you expand the tree structure of a component.
    Model Binding.
For this to happen you have to click Edit on ComponentController and choose ApplyTemplate on service controller.
After completion of this step ExecuteBapi..method will generated automatically.
and choose the appropriate bapi data you want.
    ContextMapping.
Now you will do the Contextmapping between View that uses the bapi and component controller.

  • Execute SAP transaction from Outlook

    Hi,
I want to know whether it is possible to open SAP transaction from out look or not. My scenario is when work item triggers from WF to Outlook, which carry a link to open SAP transaction directly from outlook. If it is possibli plz explain me in detail, what are the steps involved, if not what are the alternative solutions. We are working ECC5.0

    Hi Shambu,
First, please remove your e-mail from your post as this is not according to forum guidelines.
It is possible to send a link to a transaction to outlook. It is similar to the executable attachments the extended notification and RSWUWFML2 create. You could check how they do it and reverse engineer for the transaction. But all the users need a SAPGui locally installed. This maybe a problem as the MAPI is used.
FYI the MAPI is no longer supported by SAP, it is not supported since release 4.7 I think. It has been replaced by RSWUWFML(2) which is being replaced by the extended notifications. I think there has been an article about it recently here on SDN.
