Opening tabs in safari

I have bookmarked 10 or 12 sites in a folder in my bookmarks collections. How can I open all these sites at once?

Put the folder on Safari's Bookmarks Bar. You can then command-click on the folder to have all the entries open in their own tabs. Or, you could check off Auto-Click for the folder on the Show All Bookmarks page once you have it on the Bookmarks Bar and then a single click will open all the entries and a command-click would open a drop-down list.

  • IOS 8 - How to Close All Open Tabs in Safari?

ioS 8 - Is there a way to close all open tabs in Safari on the iPhone?  The workaround in iOS 7 was to hit the "Private" button and then click "Close All Tabs," but that no longer works with the revised private browsing method.  Clicking each tab to close multiple tabs is burdensome if there are a lot open.

Yes, this is VERY painful after a few days of using Safari: Having to close one window at a time. Ugh.

  • Printing All Opened Tabs in Safari

Is there a way to print all opened tabs in safari

    HI,
    choppy/freezing video
Try uninstalling your current copy of Flash, then reinstall new, then repair permissions.
    Uninstall Flash
Install the most recent version of Flash here.
    Now repair permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
Empty the Safari cache from the Safari Menu Bar too.
If reinstalling Flash and emptying the cache didn't help, you may have Safari third party add-ons installed that were compatible with a previous version of Safari, but not Safari 5.
Go here for troubleshooting Safari: Add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
You could also try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file. Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop. Now launch Safari. If Safari functions as it should, them move the .plist file to the Trash.

  • Do all open tabs in safari use data on iPhone 5

I am wondering if pages that are open in the background of safari use data on the iPhone 5 iOS 7.1.1?

Only when you switch to that tap and it updates, unless one of those tabs is streaming.

  • Opening tabs in Safari becomes extremely slow

I have noticed that after having Safari open (in the background, not always being actively used) for a while that it will eventually become very slow at opening new tabs. I use iStat menus, and when Safari becomes slow, it will max out the CPU when opening a new tab, but once it opens it goes back to minimal CPU usage. When I quit and reopen Safari, it goes back to normal. I do have Safari set to open Top Sites when I open a new tab.
Any thoughts as to why this occurs?
    Thanks
    Ian

    Hi prusi;
When your disk gets close to full that can cause two problems; slow performance and file corruption on your disk.
First I would suggest you delete enough files so that when it get low it remains above at the very least 10 GB, 15 GB would be better. Good candidate for deletion are music, photo or video files just because they take up so much space. A good tool to help you with this is OmniDiskSweeper.
Second that you boot from the install DVD for your Mac and repair the disk. If you don't repair the disk and leave the corruption there, it can lead to some very strange problems in the future.

  • I Can't Open Tabs In Safari On My iMac?

In Safari, if you press command (apple key) T a new tab will open up.
I use this feature a lot on my MacBook but this feature will not work on my iMac.
I have to press "command N" and that opens up a whole new page. I would like to just have all of my pages in one window instead of having 3 or 4 different ones.
Any ideas how to get the tab feature to work in Safari on my iMac?
    Thanks,
    Sam

    Hi
Goto safari's prefs/tabs and check "enable tabbed browsing"

  • Bookmarklet Opens "Tabs" in Safari ?

    Has anyone tried Inventive Labs’s Tabulate, a JavaScript bookmarklet ? From MacWorld iPhone Central;
After choosing the bookmarklet from Safari’s bookmarks; a small, orange flag button in the upper-left corner of the screen lets you know Tabulate is working. After that, whenever you tap on any link on the current Web page, a three-button overlay appears on the screen. Tapping the blue circle opens the link in the current window. Tapping the green circle opens the link in a new “tab”—actually just another Safari window. Tapping the orange circle saves the link so you can visit it later.

  • Safari shortcuts dont work for navigating through open tabs

I read that Control-Tab or Control-Shift-Tab are shortcuts that navigate left and right through open windows in Safari.
I also ready that CMD-Shift-left arrow navigates to the left.  But only moves once, and if you select same with right arrow, nothing happens.
Under Settings Application shortcuts, there are no setting setup for CMD-Shift-left arrow so I guess that this is 'built in'?
I would like to navigate using keyboard shortcuts left and right through open tabs in Safari.  Please can you advise as I am stuck with the above and they dont help me....
    Thank you.

Thanks! The shortcut can be set like this in AI, although all key combinations I would want to use are not allowed. Too bad. But anyways, thank you very much for the tip!
cmd+~ is not an option for me, I guess, since the swiss/german keyboard layout has no dedicated tilde key.
So, I have a working shortcut in PS (ctrl+tab / of which I still don't know how to change, if possible at all) and thanks to you, I can now set one in AI as well. Unfortunately, I can not set it to be identical as in PS, since the "cmd" key needs to be included in AI's shortcut assignment dialogue, but I guess, this is as good as it gets.

  • Does Safari use send referrer data for open tabs?

If I have 8 tabs open in iPhone Safari and click a link that opens a "new" window (new meaning it takes over an open tab), does Safari send the referrer to the destination's web site/analytics as the spawning URL or the page that was overtaken? I don't mind if it's the spawning but I hate the idea of the open page being shared.
    Any insight anyone might have?
    Thanks!

  • Double tap to open new tabs in Safari using a trackpad

    Hi
I've been using my trackpad to double tap next to open tabs in safari ie to create new tabs, over the last 2-3 days that feature has disappeared and it doesn't work any longer also if it does it may take as many as 5-10 taps to create a new tab.
I remember setting this feature up when i first got Lion, but i can't find the settings now. Any help appreciated.
Thank you & happy new year.

    Hi,
Thanks, i've been through most of the settings as you've mentioned.
Anyway what it came down to was i'd recently set up a bluetooth mouse, that is what stopped the function of double tap next to an open tab in safari to open a new tab. Very strange indeed.
But alas i removed the mouse from setup fixed the problem, but thanks for your advice.

  • ICloud not showing open tabs iOS 8

i have a 5s, and two week old iPad air. I am unable to see the open tabs on Safari. Have followed instructions on support pages to a T, private browsing is off, same account is logged in on both devices. I've turned off iCloud for safari, shut down the app on both devices and restarted both. Waited the prescribed amount of time and everything. Gone through all the instructions. At least 10 times. I don't even see the cloud icon on my iPad in the instructions. any help is appreciated, this is so frustrating....

I just saw something that says I'll have to wait until iOS six for this to work.

  • Shortcut for going from Tab to Tab in Safari 4.0.3?

    Hello folks,
Is there a shortcut to use for quickly going from open tab to open tab in Safari 4.0.3 without using the mouse to click on the open tab?
    Thanks

You're welcome. This tip has nothing to do with the keyboard, but its graphic effect is kind of neat:
To open a tab in a different Safari window, place the pointer over the tab and drag it to another Safari window or to the desktop.
...So a tab can be removed from a Safari window by dragging it out — and then later, in the same way (by first dragging it out of its new Safari window), put back into its original Safari window.
