I've tried to open up the .webarchive file on my iPhone. All it does is asking me if I want to mail it. Is there any way to open the file?

To my Intel/iMac/Tiger OS - I need to transfer lots of WebArchive files that I had saved via Internet Explorer 5.1.6 on my old OS 9.2 desktop G4. When I put them on Tiger, no programs, not even Safari, can open them (without garbling). How can I open them on Intel as intact web pages? Is there a program/utility/widget or trick/tool that can do this, that actually works? Thank you.

Opening numbers file on iPhone

I have created a numbers file on my mac, then uploaded it to iCloud. When I try and open the file in Numbers on my iPhone, I get the message "....an unknown error occurred spreadsheet couldn't be imported..."
I have tried different spreadsheets and even deleted Numbers and re-installed.... to no avail.
I think this started after I updated my iPhone software... would that make any difference?

I understand you can scan however, you cannot open up the PDF file afterwards.
Please let me know which operating system you are running and I will certainly look into this issue for you.

Click and shift works for me, so this is not a Mavericks bug.
Try deleting any finder.plist files and restarting.
To do that, click the desktop so Finder is active, then click on Go in the menu bar. In the dropdown select Library. In that folder look for Preferences. In the Preferences folder there will be at least two files whose names start com.apple.finder.....
Trash them all and restart.

Can you please share a sample file at the email address listed above? The desktop Reader is pretty forgiving and will often display PDF that is invalid. In general, our Mobile Reader is less lenient, though when we encounter files that the desktop product allows but we do not, we make an attempt to be similarly lenient. A sample file will help!

Problem with opening .webarchive with safari

I have recently installed Lion (10.7.1) on my Macbook Air (mid 2010) and have Safari 5.1. On Snow Leopard I could open .webarchive files via http request. But now it does not work. Safari opens .webarchive files when I double click on them in Finder (then the webarchive fiel is called via file:///User/user/abc/xyz.webarhive); but via HTTP, http://localhost/~user/xyz.webarchive calls does not render the stored web page, but Safari displays the source code instead.

I know this is an old topic but I searched for it today and others might be looking for a solution. I also had this issue but for me it occurred regardless of how I tried to open it.
My solution was to change the webarchive name to a very basic name. It sounds silly, but it worked for me. I've also had success with saving the file again (I didn't have to rename it then). Seems strange we have to resort to tricks to get these to display but, there you are. Hope this helps.

Numbers not opening my file

I created a file in numbers some weeks ago, I already edited it sometimes. I edit this file on iPad 2 and iPhone 4s. I sync in iCloud. It worked until today.
Today I was on a restaurant, and tried to open the file (My iPhone was connected to an EDGE network), but it failed to open. It only displays an icon with the last version edited and that's all.
I'm back home, and now the same happens on iPad.
this is only happening to this file I tried to open while I was away.
I suspect the file got corrupted.
Is there a way to recover the file, or to get a precedent version of it?

I wonder if I could get any financial compensation for my document/time loss. I'm really ****** off.
I cannot recommend such products anymore, since they are not trustworthy. How come we lose corrupt/documents in a cloud mode and we have no methods of restoring from a previous version?
Looks like amateurs in IT.
Companies should be careful and rather stay away from such products!

The attachment is an .xls excel 97-2003 spreadsheet. I viewed the file in the email and did not edit it with any software. I can forward the file to anyone that is may want to check it out to see if they can help me. I was wondering if there was some way of forcing another ios6 install on my phone and maybe that would solve it.

Your phone is in recovery mode. Did you plug it to the computer running itunes? What happend?
