Opening XP in a Leopard window

Am very new to this and am wondering if it's possible to boot into Leopard but open a Window that'd have XP running at the same time.
Is this possible?

Try the following:
1 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iWeb's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
3 - launch iWeb and try again.
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

Want to open folders in the SAME window

I just did a clean install of Leopard, and now whenever I open a folder I get a new window! I doesn't matter what the status of the checkbox "Always open folders in a new window" is in the Finder preferences. I ALWAYS get a new window. Are there any preferences to delete, or other option to stop this?

I need help on this also. I had the problem on 10.4 and hoped that it would go away with Leopard. It has not.
I tried trashing the finder preferences in USER Library and restarting to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.

Persistent sharing problem with Leopard/windows home networking

as new Mac user I am surprised by the user friendly Mac+Leop.
So I assume it must be a bug (xp or leop??)that makes correct networking difficult.
1: The PC-xp sees the Mac and the shared folders but the content of folders is not possible to open nor is it possible to write into the folder
2: shared folders and files on the PC have read and write access from iMac (works correct)
3: error message:

AP Divs (layers) move when I open my website on different window size.

First of all, this is my first time trying to make a website.
I'm doing an assignment for my class and i found it difficult for me to fix. I have spend 4-5 hours researching online but nothing work for me.
Well,the problem is the AP Divs (layers) move when I open my website on different window size(iphone,ipad).
The website only look right on 1366 x 786 resolution. Please take a look at my 2 pics below:
And I don't know how to make the website to fit on the iphone and ipad so that I don't have to scroll down or sroll to the right to view the whole thing.

That's what APDivs do. This is the single most common problem new people have with web page layouts. DO NOT use positioning. You don't need it. Start over. Learn to use CSS floats, margins and padding to align elements.

I have been using a 2012 Mac pro to do HD video editing. I bought a new portable Macbook Air only to find that Maverick no longer has "open files in a new window" which I use all the time in the very large folders of video clips and royalty-free music. I asked at the Apple Store how I could get this back on the Macbook Air and they said it couldn't be done so I thought I would re-format the HD and install 10.7 on it and was notified by the Macbook Air I can't put 10.7 on that computer. Apple use to give this as an option but now they have gone more to the attitude of "Do it our way or go to ****!" In anger I went out and bought a Dell Laptop and Pinnacle Studio 17 which I have been learning to use. I have been an Apple/Mac user since 1979 and would still rather do my video editing on a Mac. Is there any way that I can force the Macbook Air to let me load in OSX 10.7 where there is still the option to "open files in a new window" or is there a way to add this to Maverick? The experts at the Madison, WI Couldn't give me any help on this.

Lately, Firefox often won't open the links when I click on them but will only open them when I ask it to open them in a new window or tab.

Often when I open Firefox, in the middle of a session it'll stop responding to my clicking on a link to open it in the same window. It'll show the url in the bottom when I hover over it but will do nothing when I click on it. It will only work when I either right click on it (then select open in new window/tab) or command click on it (opens in new tab automatically). I've noticed that it happens a lot when clicking on a link for a Google search result, but I know that it's not exclusively there, and it probably just sticks out more in my mind.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

When I click on links in websites the links don't work unless I right click and choose open website in another tab/window. This is even a problem on the Firefox page.

When I try to open a link on any page/website Firefox does not open the link. It doesn't even "work" at opening the link, it just sits idling. I have to right click and choose "open link in new tab/window" in order for Firefox to open the link. It doesn't happen 100% of the time but happens especially if there is a button or picture that must be clicked. Simple text links seem to work more often then button or picture links. One example provided below. When you click on the "launch Jumpstart" button it will not open unless you right click & open new. This also happens from my Yahoo! Email account, on Facebook, Cructhfield.com and other websites with "button" related links.

I have the same problem but it appears that an add-on I'm using is causing the problem. Try opening Firefox in safe mode (which disables add-ons) Then try it. If that solves the problem, you need to disable all your add ons and enable them one by one to figure out which one(s) is causing the problem.

You can hold the Shift key and click the left mouse button a link to open that link in a new window.
The setting in Tools > Options > Tabs is only for links that specify a target window and you can divert such a link to a new tab instead.

How do I block an ad that opens up a new Firefox window and keeps telling me my system performance is poor? I can't even capture the link.

This particular ad, supposedly from a Windows Certified Partner, opens in a second Firefox window and keeps flashing the message that my System Performance is Poor, wanting me to click on their ad and let them do whatever nasty things they want to my system. I have not been able to capture the path but next time it comes up, I will write down all that I can see.
If I have closed my main Firefox screen first, and then close out this ad, the next time I open Firefox, the ad opens and all my standard tabs are gone, requiring me to reopen each one seperately (Facebook, Google, etc).

Just to address the last point: check your History menu to see whether you have the Restore Previous Session option and use that if you can. If that is grayed out or doesn't restore everything, check the Recently Closed Windows and Recently Closed Tabs lists for other pages.
The unwanted window may be generated by an add-on. Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Here are some other things to check:
(1) user.js file that changes Firefox startup behavior and overrides your preferences. This article describes how to track that down and delete it if you have one: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]].
(2) Possible hijacked shortcut. Check the "target" of the desktop icon you use to start Firefox to see whether it lists the unwanted page. To do that:
right-click the icon > Properties > Shortcut tab
For 64-bit Windows 7, the Target should be no more and no less than this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
(3) Possible undisclosed bundle items. If you have installed any free software recently, check your Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a program for surprises. If you click the "Installed on" column head to group by date, it is easier to spot bundled junk. Remove everything suspicious or unrecognized.

Hopefully that cures it.

Since installing the latest update, whenever I try to play purchased videos, they open in the separate video window and immediately causes iTunes to crash and close.

Ever since installing the latest iTunes 10.4 update, I've been having trouble playing purchsased videos. When I try to play them, they open in an unseen new window and after a couple of seconds of audio, iTunes crashes and has to close. Could try saving as tiff provided layers and transparency are chosen at the time of saving. But it's hard to give a definitive answer as it depends on the final usage. For example PSD's tend to work better in applications like In Design in comparison with tiff.

There is an option called "browser.link.open_newwindow" which when set to 2 should open links, that would normally open in a new window, in a new window.

I can't think of an add-on that will do this for you.
You can always right click on the link and choose "Open Link in new Window" :-).

Master Report - Interactive view template
Detail Report - Interactive view template
I have given detail report hyperlink in Master report. when i click on the link, it opens in new tab or window instead of opening in same tab/window.This is happening only in case i have created report in Interactive view.
If i create both the reports in RTF template then it's opening in same window/tab but my requirement is that template should be Interactive template as it's having sorting and filter functionality embedded.
