OpenLdap get corrupted twice a day
Hi,
This happens again twice in a day, whenever we add any new user through shared services our OpenLDAP db get corrupted.
though we use recover.bat and able to recover. but it seems problem.
Any advice?

Yes i applied patch (hss_931003_en) for shared services. I am not doing syn after db_recover.
secondly i am also thinking to reconfigure shared services using (don't drop use existing DB table/scema) from config utility might be solve my problem. but before that i need your inputs. Will i need again to configure MSAD Provider or it will remain intact

I guess I need to know what OS you are hosting the databases on. OES? Plain SLES? Sort of depends on what is serving up what and who is consuming it. But generally, you MUST disable opportunistic locking / client side caching on the CIFS connections used to access the domain databases. That is, no doubt, what is killing them.
Two approaches:
1. Fix the problem on the CIFS / SAMBA server side. Then client settings don't matter. Our domains are on pure SLES, not OES, and domains are shared via SAMBA. Clients incluse other SLES boxes, Windows clients, etc. So we nipped it in the bud by preventing it on the SAMBA server. If the server is using plain old SAMBA, the corresponding share section in /etc/samba/smb.conf should be set up similar to

You can configure some of these setting globally, but I like to specify them explicitly - then you know what is actually going to happen. And you don't mess with other shares exposed by the server where client side caching / op locks "might" be OK.
2. You can also solve the problem on the CIFS client side ( in your case, the remote servers mounting the CIFS share ) by disabling oplocks:
cat /proc/fs/cifs/OplockEnabled
It will report "1" meaning its IS enabled. That's bad! You can disable Op Locks easily:
echo 0 > /proc/fs/cifs/OplockEnabled
Generally, under high load, the CIFS client will fall apart with this enabled. The number of pending locks piles up and all the client does is service the locks. We have web server fronting a common CIFS share, you NEED to do the above to the systems mounting CIFS shares.
Doing either or both ( on all systems hosting / consuming the shares ). I don't trust people to set up their clients correctly, so I opted for #1. The next day the problems stopped, order was restored to the Universe.
( This is analogous to, on Windows clients talking to Netware, File Commit = ON, File Caching = OFF, Level 2 OpLocks = OFF, etc. )

Psd files are getting corrupted

I am using PSE11 on a Mac, and have experienced PSD files getting corrupted twice now. They are digital scrapbooking files, where I have started with a layered PSD file 'template' and personalised it (with lots of effort!). I save it and close it. Later I try and reopen it and it will not open. The Adobe Photoshop Elements dialog box says 'Reading Photoshop Format' but it just gets stuck - the progress bar does not move beyond 1/3. This is really bothersome as last time it happened I had no option but to start over and redo the layout. Any ideas or suggestions as to why or how this might be happening? What could I do about it? I am reluctant to reinstall PSE, as I prefer version 11, have no disc, and last time it took many calls to Adobe to be directed to a place where I could download it (they kept telling me I would HAVE to buy the latest version.

My Airport Express just stops working. Computer keeps searching for it. DSL modem is OK. Have to unplug Airport Express and replug to get it to work again. Starting happening sporaticaly some time ago, but now it is about once a day, maybe twice a day. Has v.6.3 on it. Supposedly up to date.What's the problem?

Is the screen in multiple languages saying to restart? If so, it's a kernel panic. It's highly unlikely you have a virus or malware.

In one of my support client I am facing a problem with deduction Wage type.
Scenario is: An employee is eligible to purchase the company share up to 10% .
- The eligibility will be maintained in I T14 with a wagetype using %
- It will calculate on 10% of basic every month and share will be deducted from his pay.
- But if any Loss of pay is there it will calculate as per is working days.
For example,
- In case of changes in the basic in the month of May which is updated in the month of July, when you run the July payroll from payroll driver is running retro for both period that is May to July and gives the output correctly.
And executed the regular payroll until December.
But in January when updated IT0581 from 01/04/2010 to 31/12/9999, here when you run the January payroll run, again share purchase amount is getting calculated (twice) which should not happened, since share purchase has already calculated in the month of July(May to July) and the same amount is deducted (twice)
The calculation is happening when process of arrears is formed
Please let me know how can I stop system calculating twice share purchase. Should I write any rule or something else can be done.

If you whish the payroll system only to evaluate certain aspect of the payroll in orginal period then in the particular payroll scheme where it is evaluted add an IF statement in Function and the "O" value in the PAR2, next line to process your PCR and ENDIF statement after that.
So if period is orginal then evaluate whatever. Else. Read from previous result. Endif.

Since I updated to iCloud, (which may or may not be related) Mail on my MacBookPro 10.6.8 has been unable to connect to MobileMe more than once or twice per day. Mail on my iPhone 4 and my old iMac has no problems. When there is no service a yellow warning triangle appears adjacent to the Inbox and Connection Doctor reports,"Trying to log into this MobileMe IMAP account failed. Verify that username and password are correct." Since it does fetch Mail from time to time they cannot be wrong.... can they? Should I update to 10.7 and if so what does that entail?
You have been using MobileMe's email settings, which sometimes continue to work for a time after migration but then get turned off. iCloud's mail server settings are different. Strictly speaking Lion 10.7.2 is required for iCloud, and on that Mail is set up automatically.
Snow Leopard cannot access most of iCloud's facilities, however you can set Mail up manually to access your email. The method is described here:

I am having an issue in PS CS6 (on a Mac) where in the middle of working on a file, it gets corrupted by filling in a grid of squares in my layer masks as well as deleting out those same sections of misc layers throughout the file. I have reset the preferences, cleaned up the file. Renamed it to another file and 2 weeks later it is doing the same thing. Luckily I had my main subjects as smart objects and it saved them. This second time I just closed it out and opened it again and it is fine. Anybody else have an issue with this? Also it runs really slow these days on my MacBook Pro Retina 2.6 Core i7 with 16gb Ram.

PDF file gets corrupted when generated from BSP
Hi,
I am generating a PDF file from a BSP page ( see the code below). The problem is that PDF file gets corrupted and I am unable to open it. I also tried to use other functions like GUI_Download and DOwnload as suggested by many and they also do not work either. Has any one generated a PDF from BSP and can some one help?

Messages getting corrupted in Mail app with Gmail
I'm having a following recurring problem with Mail app and my Gmail (company) account: At least once a day Mail app database is getting corrupted / out of sync with Gmail account. Mail is showing most of the mails correctly in the UI but some of the new messages are not the right ones but rather copies of older, typically already deleted emails. I.e. Instead of showing the real new msg content (subject, sender, msg body) it is showing in its place an older already deleted msg. How do I know: I go and check what Gmail webmail shows in browser window.
Rebuilding account sometimes works, often not. Usually I have to rebuild, close mail app, start again to get it back in sync. I have tried once deleting all Envelope-index files in Mail Library so that it did a longer rebuild. Helped for few hours and then this started again. Mail app is getting corrupted at least once a day. Very annoying because I cannot trust what I see, but have to check constantly webmail, which I would rather not use as my main tool for mail.
This problem started already with Lion and continued with Mountain Lion.
I guess next step is to delete all my account & setting and re-configure Mail app. Any other tips?I'll chime in here to say that it affects me too.
Using gmail and mail ActOn to move messages around in mail.app. I'll start trying to see if I can make the corruption happen without using ActOn. I didn't have this problem in 10.4; and I only spent a week with 10.5 so I don't remember it happening then.
How do you identify the messages in the the finder for deleting so they can be re-downloaded? I've been accessing my corrupted attachments through gmail's web interface, so your work around would be easier than mine, assuming there is an easy way to find the right message. -

My database server has 10g with MS 2003 server as OS.
Twice a day the database hangs and does disconnects all the users from local and remote locations.
Current SYSTEM tablespace has a size of 470 MB and is 98.86 in use, when I try to add another datafile as 'SYSTEM02.DBF' in the same path where other system data files are, I kept this operation running during weekends but datafile was not added.
Has it anything to do with the MS 2003 server no. of users.
Any other suggestions for SYSTEM Tablespace to be free.

Sorry for the delay. Here is the attached alert.log file Since the data from foxpro was loaded into oracle on to oracle 10 g from 7th may the problem of database hanging started from the next day. I joined the organization on 22nd july.

How complicate is to sustain the update SharePoint list programatically twice a day by using SQL job?
the data need to be update twice a day and it is going o be use to feed a share point form...where the user(S) will be choosing by lookup in infopath form.
BTW..I do not have control of the SharePoint farm, I have MS SQL 2008 R2 and SharePoint version is 2010.
Or Also I am considering to use MS access 2010 and SharePoint version is 2010.

Continual Value Change Twice a Day
I am getting the following value change twice a day at approx 11am and 7pm everyday since the fix, tried a reset after the fix was applied but it is still happening everyday, is this normal.

Also, since the original firmware update .204 I am getting the lan reset (but no boot or orange light reset) every end of third day of been up before and after fix, is this normal. Further since the firmware update my speed has gone down to around 34 Mbps from around 38Mbps, is this due to dlm because of the resets which I mentioned in a previous post and is it likely to go back up. Have a brand new HG612 3B OR modem given to me by the engineer at time of installation as a backup, would this get rid of the dlm.

Start JDBC Receiver channel twice per day
Hello,
I need to get some piece of data from Oracle database twice per day. For example at 12:00am and 12:00pm. Standard JDBC Receiver channel has no needed settings. It has only "poll interval" without exact time.
I can set up "poll interval" to 12 hours, but this can't guarantee that JDBC receiver channel will works only twice per day. For example after XI system restart JDBC adapter loses time counter. It means that JDBC adapter can starts more than 2 times per day.
I have only one idea at this moment.
I can create ABAP program which can be planned as ABAP job at needed time and with needed period.
This program should send some dummy message to Integration Engine. Integration Engine should start some Integration Process which can read data from Oracle database via JDBC channel.
What else opportunities are?
