Openreach Engineers on the street #Sheerness

so i sit down and drink my tea then a BT Openreach Van type thing comes down street pulls up outside my house has orange lights flashing on the top and a yellow bar on it at the back. then 15 minutes later a normal BT Openreach van pulls in the street. Wonder what they up to Hope me infinity not gonna cut off LOL

    Just a quick suggestion to whoever is after a new line at home. If you can avoid the companies which need to use bt openreach engineers to activate your line at home in order to have broadband or landline, do it! The openreach service is absolutely a scam!!! I have been dealing with them twice and I'm still waiting to have my line activated. They selfishly lie and only try to get more money out of you. It's the second time I took a day off at work for them and they don't even offer any compensation. Poor service and poor customer service. Go for Virgin or Sky. Is more pricy, but definitely worth it.

    And NOT everyone has access to a Cable network.
    And if you pop over to the SKY forums you will see plenty of disatisfied customers there, who are waiting for those same Openreach engineers who fail to turn up.

  • Only building on the street without fibre

    Hi,
    I am currently with Sky and I live in a building comprising of about 15 apartments. No one in this block can get fibre from either Sky or BT. 
    I know it’s on the street and neighbours have a mix of both of them. I have checked Openreach and I can see that the exchange is already installed and has been for a year.
    Like the title says this is literally the only building that does not have access to fibre, I have asked Sky and was told that it may just be a case of installing a new card into the exchange to give us access to it.
    I have tried to explain this to BT and they say I’m not in an area that has it.
    How else can I explain that I am in an area with Fibre, It’s on the street and i can walk outside and talk to any of my neighbours people and see that they have it.
    I really am at a loss, its already rolled out in this area.  I am not sure if people from BT look at these forums but any help would be gratefully appreciated.

    And why in the world would you buy a phone from some guy on the street?  Guys on the street are great if you want to buy a rock in a shrinkwrapped box or if you want something illegal or stolen but that's about it.  Think of this problem as tuition.

  • Does anyone know the street address for Apple's repair center in Memphis, TN? I sent my 2010 MBP for display problems but didnt write down the FedEx tracking number.

    I was an idiot and lost the tracking number for my package that was goin to Memphis to be fixed and of course the package supposedly still hasn't arrived after being sent 3 day ago an was overnighted.  I'm pretty sure it's goin to Flextronics but for FedEx to track it they need the street address.     They can fix it at the Apple Store. I wish you could get it fixed for free, but the warranty doesn't cover accidents like this . It sounds like you understand this, I just want to make sure you know.

  • Trying to get service. Building that looks to be a central office just down the street.

    I have been trying to find who services my area for landline internet. Every time I try to type in my address into the website the data base has no idea where my address is but this is the same issue with all the other isp databases so I think the address on file in the county/city is different then the one saved on the isp databases. Either way there is a Verizon building a small concrete building with power/ and phone line and maybe other things I don't know. Right down the street from my house and there is no cell tower within 3 miles of it. By any change could I get service from this central office. I tried to call the tech support for setup but they seem to be working off the same data base that I have access too and they have no idea where I am as it says my address is on the other side of town. If there is anything you can do to help please let me know. O and also I was supposed to get a call from the engineering department but that was like 3 weeks ago.

  • Why I was billed for inside wire while the work was done outside on the street pole

    Did anyone have similar unpleasant experience with Verison yet?
    I had the service for about 3 months. My phone had static sound. I could not use it. I called Verison. They did the test and realised that the problem could not be resolved from their office so we agreed that a technician would come to determine source of the problem and fix it.
     I agreed that I would cover technician cost of $90 if the problem was caused by me.
    The technician came a day earlier. He did not need to enter my house at all. He fixed the problem and left the message that he fixed the issue at the pole on the street. The following month Verison sent me a bill  with $91 extra charge for technician's work as "inside wire".
     I did not agree with the charge. I called Verison three times. Once the service person dropped my call after talking to him about 10mins. The other two times I explained the issue and I was put on hold for a long time. On one hand, the customer service people seemed to be friendly but each time their explanation was that they have to obay what the technician wrote on the bill and that was that I should be charged for his work.
    I tried to talk to someone from Verison to explain the issue but when I ased for a manger,I was directed to sales manager who did not know much about customer issues!!
    I paid the bill which was due but I did not pay $91 extra that verison charges me for the technician's work. I received already 2 phone calls that my bill is overdue.
    I do not know whom to talk to from Verison or how to handle this situation?
    I am looking for help on what to do in this case.
    Is it planned that Verison charges his customers for technician's work that should be covered by the company.??
    Did they make a mistake?? but then why they do not admit to that?
    Why am I spending my valuable time on this issue???

  • Phone Line Across The Street Has Branches On It

    Whom should I contact to get some branches removed from a Verizon phone line across the street? I don't think it's a hazard, but something will give sooner or later. I'm not a Verizon customer, so I can't easily access anyone online. And it seems all local businesses are Verizon Wireless. Thanks!

    Verizon doesn't do tree trimming, so depends on where the tree is at, and who's responsibility it is.  If it's on your property, then you take care of it, if it's on a neighbors property, they take care of it.   Sometimes the city is responsible.   so it depends.

    As far as I am aware /house number field STRAS is not standard in infotype 0009 screens
    Its likely then importing new code from SAP has perhaps overwritten some of your customizing in this case?
    Please see if note 431930 helps you retrieve field STRAS on IT0009 - even though this note is provided by SAP - use of STRAS is in 0009 is considered a modification

  • Street line formating issue (number comes before the street name)

    Hello everyone,
    I have an issue regarding formatting of the street line - when I include an address field (say in Smartforms) the street number comes before the street name. This would be according to USA standards, but I need it to be formatted by the EU standards (street name, and then the number). Also, where ever we have an address attached (SU01, customer/vendor master recs, purchase orders, etc) we get the same issue.
    So, now it is: "1234 MyStreetName", but I need it to come as "MyStreetName 1234".
    I have tried SA10, SA09, OY01 (and all the other customizing I could find), none of which had worked. The strange thing is that in our IDES system, it is displayed as it should be (name - number).
    I can't find where this is preconfigured in IDES, so if anyone can suggest I would be very gratefull + points will be awarded for all the helpfull answers.
