Openscript is not recording Peoplesoft PDF Reports

Hi i am using ATS 12.2.0.1 Build 288 for load testing of Peoplesoft 9.2. ATS is much improved in record, playback and correlation of peoplesoft scripts.
But now i am facing a problem in recording of peoplesoft PDF reports, while recording it is not identifying the PDF report which is open up in a new window?
when i am clicking on the report tab it will navigate to the report window and there it will hang and won't show the report. but if i am doing these steps manually without
recording it is working.Can any one suggest me how to solve this?

OATS 12.3 is available now. You can use apache pdfbox packages. Using pdfbox jar files you can save pdf shown in web page to local machine and read/extract contents of pdf with the help of same packages.

OpenScript does not record Forms actions

Hi all
I've installed a fresh R12 instance with Vision DB to demo OpenScript/OLT. I had some challenges getting R12 up and running on Win2k3 :) but it's running now and I can login to both web and forms screens. It's 12.1.1
OpenScript will not record the forms actions though. It records web fine and records the action to launch the forms screen but nothing after that. I'm running OpenScript on WinXP with JRE 1.6.0_21. I'm using the Oracle EBS/Forms script type.
I've done some digging around these forums and elsewhere and previously there seems to be some work that needed to be done with jars to get the forms recorder to work. Is this still the case? What are the best steps to diagnose this problem?

I think it is better to not use Socket mode. Do you have control over your server? Which mode are you using now?
1. Look in the Java Control Panel -> Network Settings. Be sure "Use Browser settings" is checked, and that the default browser is the same one you are recording with in OpenScript. Make sure the JavaConsole does not have some other proxy configured.
2. Is your Forms NCA traffic configured on the server for Socket mode? In OpenScript Recording settings for EBS/Load you may need to check "Force HTTP Recording"
3. Is your Forms NCA traffic configured on the server for HTTPS?
Are you using IE or Firefox? Have you been able to record record regular HTTP scripts? What is your default JRE?

Arabic Numerical font is not display in PDF report output

I am facing an issue with Arabic Numerical font, If Query the data from form it is displaying Numeric data in Arabic font, If run a report for same data it is display in Normal format[Arabic font is not displaying].
The below settings i had done
1. I added font path to REPORTS_PATH
2. Set the NLS_LANG
3. I set font aliases properly in unifont.ali

OpenScript - do not record ADF adf.inputText actions

Hello,
I'm wondering why openscript engine do not records ADF adf.inputText actions ? with a buttons, radio buttons etc. recording works correctly but not input fields?
I constructed manualy adf.inputText and it seems works , but why when I'm recording not works? Can anybody help me ?

I'm using Weblogic 10.3.4, Jdeveloper / ADF 11.1.1.4 and OpenScript 9.2.1.0.
In previous versions of ADF and OpenScript i had to change some "Correlators" to make things work.
When will OpenScript work 100% with ADF?
Anybody else? Any tips?

Accents not displaying in pdf reports

We are currently using Oracle Application Server 10G 10.1.2.0.2 (Oracle Forms and reports) and moving to 11g database with a AL32UTF8 character set.
Our forms call the reports and generate them in pdf format. Our problem is that the accents are not being correctly displayed.
Can anyone offer any suggestions that may help?

We are upgrading our database to 11g.
The nls_lang is set AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8. Accents are fine through the forms but reports are another story.
Our servers are windows based (windows 2003 for the server). All of our reports are called from the forms and we use the in progress report and generated them as a pdf.
The accents I'm testing are:

Global Temporary table is Not working For Pdf Reports

we are using oracle db-10g, developer suite-10g.
While generating the Report for the satisfying several conditions we are fetching the data into
Global temporary table
On commit preserve rows
from this temp tables excel is generated properly. but pdf is not generating can anybody exaplain why it is not generating and what to do for that

my project is belongs to inventory project.
report should be generated on the different selection criteria like
1)user can select one or more product codes
2)for that product code one or more item codes can select
like this so many different selection are there more than 12 selections from different tables
For this each different selection product code into gtt_prod_cd and item_cd into gtt_item_cd. after that performed the query and in where clause we are comparing the values with gtt.

Image not displaying in pdf report using XSL-FO and using Oracle 11g databa

I have created over 15 reports using XSL-fo, with the following syntax to display an image on the pdf:

This syntax works fine when using Oracle 10g, now my database has been upgraded to 11g and my image no longer displays in the reports. I have already upload the image into the database as a workspace image.
I have tried to point the image @ the image by using url(#WORKSPACE_IMAGE#marforcom_symbol_rpts.gif)
or <img src ="#IMAGE_PREFIX#marforcom_symbol_rpts.gif")
and it still doesn't work.
I have searched this forum trying to come up with a solution that will fix my problem and am unable to.
Current config: Oracle 11g, using pl/sql gateway.
I need to know how to point the xsl-fo file to the database, where the image now resides.

I think you need load images to database XDB virtual directory /i/ and then use #IMAGE_PREFIX# substitution.

Page Break does not work in PDF report when deployed to App Server

I have a report with a PAGE Break before on a repeating frame that holds a matrix report. In reports designer on the PC, the report correctly shows the page break. When deployed to the app server, the report shows the page after the break superimposed on top of the page before the break.
The report has a repeating frame that spans both pages and holds the header information (page 1), and the matrix report (page 2).
Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Crystal Reports Designer 2008 and Business Objects Enterprise XI release 2 are not in the same suite release. You should use Crystal Reports Designer XI release 2 to connect BOE XIr2.

Not able to print PDF report from Oracle APPS

adcmctl.sh version 115.17.
We have a network printer HP Laserjet 4250 which is configured on our concurrent manager server of RH Linux OS. We are using HP LASERJET 4250 Postscript driver. We are able to print PDF's directly however through CC manager we are not able to print reports in Proper PDF format. Has anyone faced such an issue with Oracle Apps?

Error from reports from ZAM(Graph or PDF) - File does not begin with '%PDF-'.

I just noticed today that any Graph or PDF report I try to view I get the
following error - Error from reports from ZAM - File does not begin with
'%PDF-'. I tried to just save the file and then open it, but get the same
error. I can open other pdf files I have downloaded from other sites ok.
Anyone have any idea? I haven't done anything to that server that I am
aware of in quite a while.

I took a closer look at the files it downloaded, opened them with notepad,
haer is what it says:

Report Logo - Displays on HTML, not on PDF report

Hello once again Gurus.
We have a system environment setup where we have BI Publisher Enterprise and Apex 3.1.2 talking together to create PDF reports on a Oracle 10g database (R2 I think, I'm uncertain). As part of a business requirement, depending on what project you are looking at within our apex application, when printing a report you see a logo specific to the project. We have already developed this using a RTF template with a dummy image embedded, and +url:{concat(.//URL,.//PROJECT_ID)}+ in the Alternative Text field of the Web tab of the Format Picture dialogue.
This worked fine when using the RTF templates as Report Layouts within Apex and as templates within a BI Publisher report.
However, now logos aren't appearing.
I am not sure if we have upgraded the version of BI Publisher, but we are running Apex 3.1.2.00.02 on Dev and Apex 3.1.1.00.09 on test and prod, however none of these environments are outputting logos in the PDF reports.
Curiously, if I go into the BI Publisher interface and ask for the report to be outputted as HTML, the image shows. Running the HTML version of the report from Apex also shows the logo -- but the logo isn't showing in the PDF reports.
As I continue trouble shooting, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I'm unsure if its a permissions problem with the PDF seeing the image, or something related to server setup. We currently have a redirect in place to production that doesn't include the :7777 in the URL, and for some reason, if the G_URL for the image is changed to this portless URL, the image is embedded. However, this redirect was in place for another application, and will soon be locked down, so is not available for a long term solution to this problem

Error : (does not begin with '%PDF-'. ) when print report in pdf

I have created a report and tried to print in pdf format,

does not begin with '%PDF-'. this error is appearing when the adobe reader is opening.
Could anyone help me to make out the reason for this error?

Which rendering engine are you using? BI Publisher? Apache FOP? Did you follow the steps outlined here when you configured PDF printing:

Error only in PDF report generation not HTML

The same report exports fine in HTML. This only happens when exporting a PDF report:
com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportSDKException: 26---- Error code:-2147467259 Error code name:failed
The application was developed by our developer team and it is hosted in a Windows Server 2008 R2.
Does someone had the same problem ?

We solved but not so sure about the cause.
It had something to do with character encoding in PDF reports.
