Openssl version mismatch. Built against 90804f, you have 908070

I have tried to upgrade system with pacman -Syu
after longer time and after reboot I can't log from GDM to my xfce and I got this error (in ~/.xsession-errors file)
/etc/gdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup...
/etc/gdm/Xsession: Setup done, will execute: /usr/bin/ssh-agent -- startxfce4
OpenSSL version mismatch. Built against 90804f, you have 908070
Any suggestions what I can do to repair it? Should I downgrade the openssl package to previous one? How can I do that?
I should mention that I have just migrated (used partimage on systemrescuecd) my whole arch linux to new hdd (same pc but new hdd).
thanx for any help

  • After openoffice install: gnome/kde error "openssl version mismatch."

    Hello,
i just installed a new archlinux version on my laptop. After i just installed the full cd version, i made the following things:
    pacman -Sy
    pacman -S xorg-server xf86-input-mouse xf86-input-keyboard xf86-video-vesa xorg-xinit
    pacman -S hwd
    hwd -xa
    pacman -S gnome
    pacman -S gnome-extra
    pacman -S openoffice-base openoffice-spell-en openoffice-spell-de
Now, when i try to start gnome via "gdm", i get the following error after login screen:
    /etc/gdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup...
    /etc/gdm/Xsession: Setup done, will execute: /usr/bin/ssh-agent -- /usr/bin/gnome-session
OpenSSL version mismatch. Built against 90805f, you have 908070
Because i made nothing else on the system except the commands i quoted above, i guess it must be a bug. Has anyone an idea how to solve this problem?
    Thx in advance,
    Thomas

    Update:
I just tried a new installation and did the same steps as above, just with kde instead of gnome.  After "startkde", the same OpenSSL version mismatch error appears on the console. It's REALLY annoying...

  • OpenSSL version mismatch.

    Hello,
I am getting the error message "OpenSSL version mismatch. Built against 90702f, you have 90801f." when I try to use the SSH client or when I try to connect remotely using putty w/ SSL.
I am running 10.3.9 with all the latest updates from Apple installed. I do have Remote Login enabled.
I suspect from the error message that somehow the libcrypto.dylib library has gotten replaced/overwritten. Short of completely reinstalling OSX is there a way to reinstall OpenSSL or relink the libraries that are now installed on the Macintosh?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
    David

    solved!
    i try
    # which ssh
    /usr/local/bin/ssh
    # mv /usr/local/bin/ssh /usr/local/bin/ssh.bak
    then
    # which ssh
    /usr/bin/ssh
    everything is ok!

  • Nxssh - OpenSSL version mismatch

    Hello,
when I would start nxssh I get this error:
    #nxssh
OpenSSL version mismatch. Built against 1000106f, you have 1000201f
Opennx needs nxssh, witch I would to use of a Raspberry Pi 2 with Arch ARM. I installed opennx with pacman.
    Anyone knows a solution?

rbarch wrote:I installed opennx with pacman.
OpenNX was dropped from official repositories in june 2013 (see the aur-dev mailing list) and now it is in the AUR: https://aur4.archlinux.org/packages/opennx/. It depends on the package nx-common which provides the nxssh executable. It is your responsibility now to rebuild them.

I just ran my updates for my MacBook Pro and now my iphoto won't open. I get a pop up that say's You can't use this version of the applicaton IPhoto with this version of os x.  You have iphoto 9.2.3.

This screenshot shows which previous versions of iPhoto are compatible with Mavericks.  It also indicates which versions qualify for a free upgrade to iPhoto 9.5.1 and which require a purchase:
Note 1:  every day more users are reporting problems with iPhoto 8.1.2 so I've included it in the non compatible category.
Note 2:  If your previous version of iPhoto was iPhoto 7 (08) or earlier you'll need to download and run the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1 application on the library before opening it with iPhoto 9.5.1.

If I'm understanding you correctly, those apps have stopped working and you are getting a message saying that they won't work with this version of Mac OS X when you try to open them. Is that right? If so, have you moved those apps out of their original locations? That is a bad idea, as it prevents them from being properly updated. If this is what has happened, what version of the system were you running before they stopped working, and what version are you running now, after installing the update that has made them stop working?

  • Disk utility "You can't use this version of the application Disk Utility with this version of Mac OSX. You have Disk Utility 12.1"

    I use mountain lion 10.8.1
I try start disk utility it only says: "You can't use this version of the application Disk Utility with this version of Mac OSX. You have Disk Utility 12.1"

To do a Reinstall of the OS boot to the Recovery HD, Command+r key at startup, then select Reinstall Mac OS X. the files will be downloaded from the internet and then the instal will begin.
With Mt Lion it is also available from the Mac App store in your Purchases area. You may be able to download it and then nmanually starting the install while booted to Mt Lion.
But I'd normally use the Recovery HD as that takes the installed OS out of the picture.

after upadting iphoto it is asking me to get the latest version of mac os x, but can i get back to the older version of iphoto? or is there a way to solve it without upgrading to mac os x 10.7.5 or later.

If you have 10.7.3 then updating to 10.7.5 is free.

  • There is no RESET FIREFOX FUNCTION in my version 16.0 of Firefox. Do you have another solution?

Your solution to Reset Firefox does not appear to be available in version 16.0. Do you have another solution or can you help me figure out how to RESET in version 16.0?

Updating to Firefox 29 is not possible in this case because current Firefox versions need OS X 10.6 or later.

Last Firefox for Mac OS X 10.5:
Another option to consider is to install the last Firefox 10.0.x ESR version as that version is more recent than the Firefox 16.0.2 version.

What kind of issue(s) do you have that you want to reset Firefox?
You only see the reset button on the "Help > Troubleshooting Information" page if you use the profile that is marked as Default=1 in the profiles.ini file.
If you do not have the "Reset" button then either use the Profile Manager to create a new profile or use the Profile Manager to start with the current default profile to get the reset button in Firefox.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
    See "Creating a profile":
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem

  • When downloading iTunes, I got a message about error writing to file and it told the file. Then it said to verify that you have access to that directory. I have no idea how to fix it. I could really use some help, please.

I was trying to download iTunes on my computer, and while doing so, I got this message: Error writing to file: C:/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Apple/Apple Application Support/Apple Versions.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory. I have downloaded iTunes numerous times and I have never had this problem. If anyone knows what's going on, I would really appreciate the help.

Well, there's definitely a mac and a Windows version. And you're at the right page. I think the problem is that someone forgot (or decided not to) to update the text at teh bottom of the page to have Mac and Windows.
Just push the button, you'll get the Mac update no problem.

  • I want to go back to Snow Leopard but I get "you have to install mac osx.app 23.1.1

I have a new 21.5 iMac I just purchased July 9 so I was able to download Lion for free under the up-to-date program.  After installing Lion I decided I wanted to go back to Snow Leopard for various reasons. When I restart with the original Snow Leopard DVD that came with my machine and holding the C key down, I get the window for Mac OS X install DVD.  I click the icon to install SL and another window pops up stating "You can't use this version of the application. Install Mac OSX.app with this version of Mac OSX. You have to install Mac OSX.app 23.1.1"  To answer the question before hand....I don't have a time machine backup.

Thanks for all your help guys. I had trouble with my first install of Lion, it seemed buggy and when I tried some of the suggestions you offered, my machine did not always react the way it should have. I thought that was weird because it's a new iMac, only three weeks old. Pondini pointed me in the right direction and I think Lion is stable now. This worked after a few tries, not sure why I wasn't getting consistent results but it worked eventually.
    1. Shut the computer down.
    2. Hold "command" and "R" and turn on the computer (I believe this is recovery HD from the internet because it wasn't working from my hard drive)
    3. After a few unsuccessful tries, and repeating #1 and #2, I finally got a window to reinstall Lion. This took about an hour to download and after that things went as expected.
As long as Lion is more stable than it was on my first install, which it seems to be now, I'll just stay with it. After this experience, I would say "make sure you need the features in Lion, and that all your current programs are compatible with Lion before you forge ahead."
    Thanks again
