Opera 10 and google service login

Hi everyone!
I installed Opera 10 and every time I want to login in google calendar, mail oder reader I have to reload or type the url again after submitting username and password. Interesting is that the same browser on Windows in the office does not do that. It's very annoying especially with gmail since there is no link on the page I could click linke in google-reader.
Anyone having the same problem or a solution?
Thanks and regards,
david

Hej,
no nothing. It works with all browsers I have (Konqueror, chromium, firefox, arora, uzbl). And as I said, the exact same browser on Windows doesn't have it. But Opera is the only browser that is fast, doesn't eat all my memory and has a cool imap-mail client. And so far I have only seen that problem with google sites like gmail and reader. Even facebook with all the ajax stuff works fine.

  • Google Play and Google Services errors on Moto E

Hello,  I have a Moto E phone which has recently stopped working properly. I keep getting error popups saying 'Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped' , 'Google services has stopped working', 'Google play has stopped working' and 'google apps has stopped working'.  I have also been receiving multiple copies of text messages which were sent to me yesterday, the battery is draining quickly and overheating, I can't send anything by bluetooth and I can't access games. Pages also close on me after the popups appear. I have tried different 'fixes' that are mentioned online - I have tried clearing the caches of all the apps, running the phone in safe mode, uninstalling google play services (it wouldn't let me as it is an 'administrator', which it won't let me change), resetting all app preferences, disabling and re-enabling different apps and turning off/on wi-fi. I have also seen the fix saying that I should turn on 'wake up' or something in the privacy settings, but I don't have it. So basically, does anyone out there have any ideas on how I can fix this? I don't want to factory reset if I can help it as I can't back them up, send them to other people or upload them to the computer (I have spent the last few hours trying).  This phone is only a month old, and I have absolutely no idea what has caused this trouble. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you =)

    Hi ,
    Thanks for joining the Community.
It is likely that one particular app is causing the problem. Try deleting and re-installing any app that triggers the error message when you are using it.
Let me know if this helps.
    Thanks

  • Sony software update and google services

Since today when I updated the Sony software I keep getting an error message tell me the Google services need updating. I click the link to play store and it doesn't give me the option to updated just open or unistall. Tried the unistall and after reinstalling still get the same message. Any ideas as it's driving me mad.thanks

I do business trips most of the time. And I use my Z3's "Ultra STAMINA Mode" whenever I'm out for days to save on mobile power. After updating to Android 5.0.2, my SMS or Sony's default text messaging application keeps on crashing whenever I attempt to read my new messages and whever I will try to reply. Please have this fixed Sony. I've been your follower since the Z series started. And issues like this never happened. I trust that you can fix this. This is one of Sony Xperia Z3's power management functions/features that I am really using and maximizing. Please let me enjoy this experience again. Thanks a lot in advance. Anyone also experiencing the same?

  • IPv6, WRT1900AC, Android, and Google Services

    Hey Guys,
I recently found that I had to turn off IPv6 in my rotor to be able to connect to Google services on My android products. Anybody else having this problem? Any ideas as to why this would be the case? I am running the latest FW for both the wrt1900ac and the Android devices. I did have the issue where the wrt1900ac didn't get a new IPv6 address after updating, but I fixed that by turning off both the rotor and the modem now the rotor shows it has an IPv6 address. Any suggestion Ideas on this would be helpful. Thanks in advance for any help.

If you have IPv6 working, then your Android and iOS devices should use it in preference to IPv4. It may be that since your IPv6 is turned on but not working right, that's causing your mobile devices to hang when they try to use IPv6. If you disable your non-working IPv6, IPv4 will do what you need to do without IPv6 enabled.
You really have two choices here. You can either get IPv6 working properly, or just turn it off so your mobile devices don't try to use it and time out as you've been seeing.  IPv6 works fine for me with Comcast IPv6 and the WRT1900AC. All I've had to do was reboot the router after enabling IPv6, and then got 10/10 on the ipv6 test on the internet. If that's not happening for you, I'd just disable IPv6 for the moment and talk to your ISP to see if it should work, and what sort of IPv6 support you need. IPv6 from an ISP can be native, or like Comcast, which uses DHCPv6-PD, or it might use a tunnel, or it might not be supported at all by your ISP.
In any case, like I said, I'd just disable IPv6 until I found out what's going on with your ISP and IPv6.

Everything was fine but very recently there have been loads of random password rejects in iCal and Mail. Its usually fine after a few minutes but anyone know what could be causing this as its boring having all my colleagues constantly whinging at me...

Gmail account issues are discussed in this very recent thread.  You will have to install a patch written by a homebrew developer to get Gmail accounts to sync properly.
AOL account sync has also been discussed here, have you tried the Search function?  My AIM messaging account works fine, but I don't use AOL anything else.

  • Firefox says Google Services is Secure Connection Failed (sec_error_inadequate_key_usage). It does not give me an option to load the page anyway.

Detailed error message is below shown :
    Secure Connection Failed
mail.google.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate does not come from a trusted source. (Error code: sec_error_inadequate_key_usage)
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.
    Try again
I am using Windows 7 ultimate and I have Kaspersky Anti virus 2013 for internet security.
I am using Firefox version 30.0.
I have tried opening google services with different profiles(guest, administrator, standard user) but each time the same error messages are displayed and google services can not open.
Is this problem is created because of missing authorities certificates? I am using firefox on another computer but it has more authorities certificates than this computer with error message. In other computer google(search, mail, maps etc.) services are working correctly.

It may be Kaspersky intercepting your secure connection to Gmail.
Try to start Windows in safe mode with networking enabled to verify if this is the case.
Do you see this problem with other secure sites too?

  • WHY CAN'T I LOGIN TO MANY WEB SITE WITH FIREFOX BUT CAN WITH INTERNET EXLORER 8 AND GOOGLE CHROME

I just installed firefox 3.6.8 on a new computer, it worked fine for a few days but now I cannot login to several sites that require usernames & passwords. (citezens bank online, (chase freedom credit cards online) medco mail order prescripions online. etc. Some of the sites say that I must have java script enabled, but if I go to firefox tools/options/content it shows java script enabled. I can login fine with internet explorer 8 and google chrome. I have firefox 3.6.8 on my old computer that has dial up internet access and it works fine. On the citizens bank web page the words "login" appear in a box, but when I click on it nothing happens & no boxes for usename or password show up. on the medco login page no lotin related words appear. They do with IE8 & google chrome. On chase freedom the login boxes are there but when I enter my password, after a few seconds the password disappears & nothing happens. The other browsers work fine . I believe that on one of the sites there is a message about "scripting being necessary" I cannot find any info about scripting it I do a search for it.

    Hi,
I am very new to web services I just started on this technology a couple of days ago. My manager requires me to create a web service and expose the login(user, password) and logout(sessionid) methods. The login must return session id when user and password authentication is successful.
I've been circling around the internet for a couple days already looking for a tutorial on how to implement this methods and I'm now frustrated.
I would appreciate it very much if someone can provide a link to a tutorial that has similar functionality with my web service.
    Thanks.

  • ICloud Photo Library with automatic photo upload services such as Dropbox and Google

After enabling iCloud Photo Library in iOS 8, do automatic photo upload services such as Dropbox and Google+ still upload photos in full resolution?
Or do they upload the low resolution file?

About iCloud Photos Library Beta, it is yet more a preview than a beta
Do not rely on it to store full res Photos/Videos even if you have a 200GB iCloud Store
Major Bugs (according to help description of fonctionality):
-only IOS8 Photos manually edited are uploaded full res from IOS ! If you do not edit you get low res photos in iCloud Library
-uploaded 1080p videos from IOS are converted to 720p 5mb/s as in existing Photo Sharing and not originals.
-No upload button in web iCloud photo Client on MAC for many (all?) users
Also very slow and very often stuck doing nothing.
I am afraid we would have to wait for next year... or later
What is unbelievable is that there are no information at all by Apple about what should word on the beta, and known problems, nor any release date, that is definitely not a beta, just powerpoint preview. I am very angry after all the fuss they have done around "new" iCloud and my 200GB monthly payment that I cannot use.

  • What is Google Services and why is it using 50% of my battery?

This is far and away the biggest user of my battery capacity. I've been watching battery usage closely since I deferred this latest update and then my battery longevity went way down and it took a long time to charge. But I also remember in the past that Google Services has always been a pretty big user.

DNS (Domain Name Service) is the Internet "address book" of web sites. Whenever you go to a site such as http://apple.com your browser must make calls to the DNS server specified in your Network Settings to translate "apple.com" into Apple's IP (Internet Protocol) address of 17.178.96.59. Any time you access any Internet resource (such as sending or receiving email, playing multi-player games, using a browser, Using any app that accesses data on the Internet such as news, weather, stocks, etc) one or more DNS lookups must be made. Many web sites have content from several different sites. Each site referenced on the page must also be looked up. Each query is small (~100 bytes), but they can add up.

  • My MacBook Pro won't load any websites on Safari (except this site, Facebook and Google), Opera, or Mozilla Firefox. I already did the "Reset Safari", restarted the computer half a dozen times, and I can't find this alleged "caches.db" file to delete.

My MacBook Pro won't load any websites on Safari (except this site, Facebook and Google). Opera and Mozilla Firefox won't load any sites whatsoever. I already did the "Reset Safari" several times, restarted the computer half a dozen times, and I can't find this alleged "caches.db" file to delete. I virus scanned the computer with Sophos, Avast, and iAntiVirus and it looks clean.

Is iAntiVirus the best virus protection to use for a MacBook?
The best anti-virus protection is your own common sense, and what you already bought and paid for with your Mac. Third party products such as "iAntiVirus" convey no additional benefit, and as you already determined are very capable of causing trouble.
OS X already includes everything it needs to protect itself from viruses and malware. Keep it that way with software updates from Apple.
A much better question is "how should I protect my Mac":
Never install any product that claims to "speed up", "clean up", "optimize", or "accelerate" your Mac. Without exception, they will do the opposite.
Never install pirated or "cracked" software, software obtained from dubious websites, or other questionable sources. Illegally obtained software is almost certain to contain malware.
Don’t supply your password in response to a popup window requesting it, unless you know what it is and the reason your credentials are required.
Don’t open email attachments from email addresses that you do not recognize, or click links contained in an email:
Most of these are scams that direct you to fraudulent sites that attempt to convince you to disclose personal information.
Such "phishing" attempts are the 21st century equivalent of a social exploit that has existed since the dawn of civilization. Don’t fall for it.
Apple will never ask you to reveal personal information in an email. If you receive an unexpected email from Apple saying your account will be closed unless you take immediate action, just ignore it. If your iTunes or App Store account becomes disabled for valid reasons, you will know when you try to buy something or log in to this support site, and are unable to.
Don’t install browser extensions unless you understand their purpose. Go to the Safari menu > Preferences > Extensions. If you see any extensions that you do not recognize or understand, simply click the Uninstall button and they will be gone.
Don’t install Java unless you are certain that you need it:
Java, a non-Apple product, is a potential vector for malware. If you are required to use Java, be mindful of that possibility.
Java can be disabled in System Preferences.
Despite its name JavaScript is unrelated to Java. No malware can infect your Mac through JavaScript. It’s OK to leave it enabled.
Block browser popups: Safari menu > Preferences > Security > and check "Block popup windows":
Popup windows are useful and required for some websites, but popups have devolved to become a common means to deliver targeted advertising that you probably do not want.
Popups themselves cannot infect your Mac, but many contain resource-hungry code that will slow down Internet browsing.
If you ever see a popup indicating it detected registry errors, that your Mac is infected with some ick, or that you won some prize, it is 100% fraudulent. Ignore it.
Ignore hyperventilating popular media outlets that thrive by promoting fear and discord with entertainment products arrogantly presented as "news". Learn what real threats actually exist and how to arm yourself against them:
The most serious threat to your data security is phishing. To date, most of these attempts have been pathetic and are easily recognized, but that is likely to change in the future as criminals become more clever.
OS X viruses do not exist, but intentionally malicious or poorly written code, created by either nefarious or inept individuals, is nothing new.
Never install something without first knowing what it is, what it does, how it works, and how to get rid of it when you don’t want it any more.
If you elect to use "anti-virus" software, familiarize yourself with its limitations and potential to cause adverse effects, and apply the principle immediately preceding this one.
Most such utilities will only slow down and destabilize your Mac while they look for viruses that do not exist, conveying no benefit whatsoever - other than to make you "feel good" about security, when you should actually be exercising sound judgment, derived from accurate knowledge, based on verifiable facts.
Do install updates from Apple as they become available. No one knows more about Macs and how to protect them than the company that builds them.
Summary: Use common sense and caution when you use your Mac, just like you would in any social context. There is no product, utility, or magic talisman that can protect you from all the evils of mankind.
