Opera Mini Useless in 6300 GPRS

I have GPRS connection i can browse the net using phone browser and send mms but when i use the opera mini browsers (the latest one including beta 4) it does not connect.
I know that my friends are using GPRS + Opera Mini on N70 and other phones
What is the problem. Is there any special way of setting up the configuration.
I have not found an answer to this in any forums help me out.

hope you are still following this; I have just bought a 6300 and had used Opera on O2 Pay&go on my old 3510i with no modifications, perfect connection and use. what any of the posts so far fail to mention is the change in o2 P&G. With the 3510i there was a field for IP address and the name for internet access was not wap.o2co.uk but payandgo.o2.co.uk, I know this is the type of phone software but I think there is a difference in how O2 expects their service to be used-or it would not be so difficult! I too have done all the obvious things like getting the settings sent from both Nokia and O2 websites, from O2 cust.serv. and automatically when the phone is turned on for the first time and used. NONE of these work with the Opera2 browser included or the newer v3 mini. No amount of fiddling with the settings and / or personal config seems to work, the 'susbcribe to packet data' bit comes up; only the O2 active and 'normal' web browsing thro' the phone works. I WILL get to the bottom of this and post a clear ungeeky FULL set of instructions as it is very frustrating. Watch this space. No doubt someone may reply to this in the meantime with APN-this and WAP-that; but that's no help without a blow-by-blow instructions carried thro' to Opera working on O2 P&G on the 6300.

Opera Mini fails in Nokia 6300

Hi,
I am using Nokia 6300 with firmware 5.5.
I've subscribed to Vodafone Live!
I'm unable to use Opera Mini,Gmail etc now.It used to work fine before updating the firmware.
The inbuilt WAP browser works fine.
The settings from Vodafone doesnt help.I've tried the manual configuration with portalnmms but still it's not working.
A friend of mine using N73 is able to use Opera,Gmail etc without any fuss.
Help me please...

Not sure if any of you were able to fix this but I have a Nokia 3500 and my Opera Mini browser stopped working 3 days ago. Terrible default browser worked fine though.

Go to this link http://www.nokia.com.au/A4521246 (if link does not work you can drill down it via Nokia homepage > Get support and software > FAQ > General FAQ Topic > Message and Browser Settings > Where can I get settings for browsing.)
and select Step 3. Download settings.
Follow prompts in new window. I tried Internet settings first but it turned out to be the WAP/GPRS settings which fixed Opera mini!

Nokia 6303 classic issue with opera mini

I just bought Nokia 6303 classic and contacted my provider for enabling gprs on the phone, and I received and installed the configuration by sms. While these settings work just fine with the phone's browser, Opera Mini and all other apps can't connect to the internet. What should I do to fix this?

You must use a .prov file.

Opera mini 6 & c3-01

I've purchased a new c3-01 2 days ago. But i can't update to opera mini 6 as it says "Invalid application to update". How can i solve this issue?
Its also quite disappointing to know that it doesn't support google maps. Even my old 6300 did so.

It can b updated now. Found a round about. Go to www.umnet.com. Download opera mini 6 for c3-01 from there. Its without certificate but still download it. Let it stay in the phone's games folder. Now go to m.opera.com. Download the app from there & it will replace the uncertified app to certified app. the only problem that'll occur is that u'll no longer b able to set mini5 as the go to option.

i've not be able to use my nokia 5130 to browse via opera mini for free unless i hv money on it. pls does anyone has the setting? hw will configure my phone to browse for free. pls i need help

Your phone doesn't have wifi so, if you want to access to the internet, you will have to use gprs. Contact your network operator to learn for charges.

Opera mini language and server problem on Nokia 63...

downloaded it in English (Indian) language. But when i
Google some item the results come in russian
Language & my gmail account shows that it has been

The problem of russian language persists on searching any site. Also just discovered that Bolt uses U.S. servers instead of using Indian. Is it security problem with the phone or browser? Pls help.

Opera mini not working after updating software fro...

i bought a nokia 6303c on feburary 2010 , at that time the software version of my mobile was v9.10 but after two or three months i noticed that my calculator was missing an some other menu function are also missing. so i searched in internet and got information in nokia discussion that that missing calculator is software problem. So i decided to go to nearest nokia care for solution of my problem, where they updated my software to v10.12 i got my calculator back, but from the day opera mini is not working properly, then after one month i again go to nokia care , then they again updated my software , but problem remains same. so i asked them to please give me old version in my mobile but they told me that it is impossible to downgrade to 9.10, i m fed up of this problem. In comparison of this new version my old version is much better.. please help. might be this is also a bug of software nokia gives that useless lifetool and nothing improvement is there.

Could be a problem with the App and that it may not support IOS 7.1.1 yet and need updating.

Opera Mini on Nokia 2330c

I have a Nokia 2330 classic phone and uses opera mini as web browser. Because it has only 10 mb of memory, I used MobiMB to acces the system files on my phone, and deleted the Opera Mini browser. Now if I try to open the browser from the web menu it doesn't start even if i put the jar and jad files of opera mini back. Is there a way to restore the web browser without having to reflash the phone, because i can't reflash using bluetooth and I don't have usb cable? If so, what is the solusion, because now, when i receive a sms with a link, I can't open it directly from the sms, I have to use copy and paste?

Nokia 6267 and Opera mini

Hello everybody.
I buy Nokia 6267 very good phone. For default i have installed Opera mini version nokia_s40_3 all v.2.0.7346, 20070402. I receive automatic settings from my operator (Globul) on Bulgaria for wap via GPRS and with Nokia application for browsing the net i have not problems - opening wap site and etc, but when I try to go to web sie with Opera mini I receive error of connection. How to set-up Opera mini for opening web?
I have this problem and other java apps used net.

C3-00 @mail and Opera Mini worked in South Amrica ...

I purchased a new C3-00 in the UAE - I took it to South Amrica and bought a local Ancel SIM. Opera and @Mail worked well, I could check Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail using the wireless router I had there.
I came back to the UAE and put in my Etisalat SIM and these applications quit working. Opera fails to connect and Nokia Mail, after pressing Start, just hangs forever.
I tried EVERYTHING. I also updated the phone's software to version 7.20 - no results.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Wondering when Nokia is going to fix this.....

Actually I am connecting thru the wlan OK - I can use AccuWeather, Reuters, OVI store.
But the included in the firmware version of Opera Mini will not work (Or a d/l version either) and Nokia Mail will not work, it opens and then when you press "Start" if just waits forever - before down south I could get to my Yahoo, Gma

Nokia 5220 opera mini and widsets

hey guys , im new here,last year i bought NOKIA 5220 xpress music
my GPRS is working, but when i enter an address or site, "link not available, try again later" appears. and i cannot use internet applications such as Opera mini and Widsets

You may need to check that the applications have permission to access the internet.
Go to the app in the menu but don't open it. Select Options, then Application access. In here there are various options that may need to be switched on for the app to access the network through your phone.

Opera Mini on NOKIA 9300

I need some help.
I've tried to install Opera Mini on my NOKIA 9300 but it doesn't work. It does'nt finish the intial tests
I've WAP.TIM connection.

Vanishing posts/answers using Opera Mini on Nokia ...

Until recently i have been regularly using Yahoo! answers, Twitter, Forums etc and posting comments, answers etc. But in the last couple of days after i have entered the text and pressed the action button before proceeding down to 'Submit' the whole text has vanished from the box. Completely disappeared. Trying again and again makes no difference- even deleting browsing history/clearing cache and cookies makes no difference.
Why would this suddenly happen? I am taking a wild guess at software problems- but would this be Opera or Nokia itself?

Configured & activate your gprs connection & access point! You can ask your provider for proper configuration.

Opera Mini hijacked my Tour...

So I downloaded the beta version of Opera Mini 5.0 last night and it somehow set itself as my default browser. Everytime I click on a link from an email, SMS or from UberTwitter it automatically loads it with Opera.
I want my default browser to still be the standard Blackberry browser (yes, really) but can't for the life of me get my phone to agree. I've gone into my browser options > General Properties and have the default browser set to Internet Browser, which is the only option. Same applies to my default services under Options > Adanced Options > Browser, only selection available is Internet Browser.
I've looked within the Opera settings itself and can't find any type of setting that would make it the default browser.
So I'm stuck.
Perhaps it's just a problem because it's beta software? I haven't had Opera on my Tour 9630 before. On my Curve 8330 it never made itself the default.
Any one have any luck downloading this app and not having it be the default?

Do you have an active GPRS plan from your Operator ?... Browsing / connecting to internet requires a separate data plan...
