Opera MPlayer Plug-In

http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?d … =1&ID=8159
A quick question about that package.  Does it work on 64 bit machines (got the 32 bit Opera running)?  If so, can somebody post instructions?
Thanks!

well it is setup up for x86_64 but when i try to build it i get an error:
Source/plugin-ui.cpp:287: error: cast from '_WidgetRec*' to 'int' loses precision

  • Had operational Goflex - plugged in USB WD MyBook, cannot boot & no IP

    Hello Archers!
    Situation;
Arch Linux Seagate Goflex Home (SG-GFH) was fully operational but now not getting IP address after plugging in USB Western Digital My Book Essentials (USB-WD-MBE) and restarting.
    Environment;
    1 NetGear WND3700 v2 router.
1 Laptop computer running Ubuntu Linux 12.04 .
1 Seagate GoFlex Home (SG-GFH) with Arch Linux) connected directly to router.
1 USB Western Digital My Book Esstentials (USB-WD-MBE)
    Events;
Recently installed Arch Linux on SG-GFH.
Setup 3 partitions - 1st partition for system, 2nd for swap and 3rd for data.
Create mount point for 3rd partition.
    Setup NFS.
Installed some additional packages, Webmin, etc.
Everything seemed to be working fine.
    Connected USB-WD-MBE to laptop.
Used Filezilla to successfully copy 150 GBs of data from laptop with USB-WD-MBE to the SG-GFH. Transfer rate was very slow.
To see if I could get better transfer speed I plugged in the USB-WD-MBE into the USB port on the SG-GFH.
I verified that the SG-GFH was seeing the USB-WD-MBE (/dev/sdc). I did not setup any mount points or modify fstab, etc.
I restarted the SG-GFH with the USB-WD-MBE plugged in and now not getting IP address.
So, I shutdown everything and powered up again, still no ip.
Then, I disconnected the USB-WD-MBE and powered up, still no ip.
I shutdown everything again and pulled the disk from the SG-GFH.
I placed a bootable USB (SanDisz Cruiser) into USP port on SG-GFH.
Upon restart, I could see that the router assigned 192.168.1.2 to the device named "ALARM".
I can ping successfully 192.168.1.2 *** BUT *** I cannot ssh into it "Connection refused".
    $ ssh -v [email protected]
    OpenSSH_5.9p1 Debian-5ubuntu1.1, OpenSSL 1.0.1 14 Mar 2012
    debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config
    debug1: /etc/ssh/ssh_config line 19: Applying options for *
    debug1: Connecting to 192.168.1.2 [192.168.1.2] port 22.
debug1: connect to address 192.168.1.2 port 22: Connection refused
ssh: connect to host 192.168.1.2 port 22: Connection refused
Ran port scan (Network Tools) nothing returned.
So what can I do. Is it possible to get it back?
I am not sure if the USB-WD-MBE had anything to do with this.
I cannot ssh in and not even sure if I can do a complete re-install.
    Any assistance much appreciated!

Frustrated but determined, I decided to try one more time with Arch Linux. I went ahead and *** re-created *** another bootable USB with Arch Linux on it and this time the SG-GFH booted up with IP and I can ssh into it! Something must have happened to my other USB with Arch Linux on it. With the original bootable USB/Arch Linux that I created I could get an IP address but *** could not ssh (connection refused) ***, weird!!!
After booting up with the new bootable USB/Arch Linux, I placed the SATA drive in the craddle and mounted the partitions on sdb and they all (sdb1 - system, sdb2 - swap, sdb3 - large partition for data) appear normal.
    THE PROBLEM
I want to be able to boot like before.
I want to boot using Arch Linux with the SATA drive in the craddle. I do not want to boot with the USB/Flash/Arch Linux.
    How can I accomplish this?
    REVIEW
Currently, the boot flag is set on the existing sdb1 partiton. But, if I remove the bootable USB/Arch Linux and starting with the SATA drive in the craddle (SATA now becomes sda1) is the same as it was before, have a green light but no IP.
If I use the bootable USB/Arch Linux I get IP, can ssh and see the existing partitons on the SATA drive.
    Any tips greatly appreciated!

  • IPhone in water - Operable when plugged in, no service no wifi.

I dropped my iPhone in water. I let it sit in rice over night, unopened. iPhone works when plugged in but has no wifi or service. Phone doesn't power on when not plugged in. The date reset, can't turn wifi on, and i am also getting kernal panic error CRC ERR! Any chance this is a software problem?
Can this be fixed? Can Apple replace for a charge for water damage? Phone is less than 1year old. Any help would be appriciated.

    Not a software problem.
Doubtful if one night in rice was close to enough time after being submerged in water, but too late now.
Apple offers an out of warranty or not covered under the warranty "repair" price that pays for an exchange at a significantly reduced price off the full retail sales price. For an iPhone 4 the cost is $200 or so in the U.S.

  • Only Operating When Plugged In - Battery Issues?

My Playbook has been more or less flawless up until last week.  Suddenly, when removing the Playbook from the fast-charger (where it sits during the afternoon while I'm at the office), the Playbook went dark.
Thinking I had inadvertently put it to sleep as I removed it from the charger, I did the "wake up" swipe.  Nothing.  Tried via the power button.  Still nothing.
When I got home, I plugged it in using the travel charger.  Red light blinked on top, then two yellow pulses, then solid green.  I pressed the power button and it booted up.  Battery indicator shows a full charge.  As soon as the device is unplugged from the wall... back to black.
I have tried the official "debricking" method via BB Desktop linked to on this forum - no success.  Have booted the Playbook in the fast-charger, then left to charge in standby mode for a day and a half - no success.  Every time I remove the Playbook from its charging source, it instantly turns off.  This makes me think that the battery has gone kaput or the connection to the battery has been damaged (not sure how this would happen; the unit has not been dropped, etc.  It sits on my desk for most of the day).
Any other thoughts from the forum?

    Hello,
When googling it, I came upon this post (http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-playbook-f222/my-pb-died-now-wont-charge-731864/) that looks promising. Give it a try and tell me if it did help you or not.

I went to the firefox forum & I can't find a way to

Reinstall ff or flash player didn't help.

Oh, thank you. I saw your previous answer similar to this, but without "run as administrator" on win7 - that previous answer to another question didn't help me, but this helped! Thanks one more time :)
Now I needn't to use Chrome...

  • WMV, QT plugins are not working within Opera

I found this is quite strange, but I wasn't sure whether I performed the right steps.
    Here goes....
pacman would normally "auto-configure" your plugins to work with Fireforx browser, but not Opera in this case.
First it's flash plugin. What I did was simply copying "libflashplayer.so" from /opt/mozilla-plugins/ to /usr/lib/opera/plugins, and it worked.
To note: Creating soft link to in between these two directories worked well too.
Next, I copied out all mplayer-plug-in-* from the same path to opera plugins folder, and it didn't work. I tried to create soft link in between, and it didn't work as well.
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks

just a few words of explanation: install mozplugger, ln -sf /opt/mozilla-plugins/.../mozplugger.so /usr/libs/opera/..../mozplugger.so
    (don't remember the paths correctly)
then in opera -> find new plugins and everything should work

  • Installed gxine, Firefox No Longer Uses Mplayer Plugin

Is there a way to configure which plug-in Firefox uses for a particular media type, or do I have to resort to deleting the plug in from Firefox's plug in directory?
    Thanks!

    I had this problem too. I think it's related to v. 1.5.
I can't remember exactly how I fixed it, but I think this is it (from mozillazine):
Type about:config into the address bar
Find the preference browser.download.pluginOverrideTypes, right-click on it and select reset.
Find the preference plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types, right-click on it and select reset.
Both those preferences should now be empty. If one or both of the preferences is missing, don't worry - that's good.
Close Firefox, then go into your profile folder: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder
    And delete the file 'mimeTypes.rdf'
This seems to me to be the result of the consistent policy of FF to become more and more Windows-like by making choices for you, by assuming that all users are stupid and that the devels know best. I may be wrong, but they are so persistent in bashing Opera for all the "clutter", which to me means "configurability". Bad policy, IMHO.

  • QuickTime 7.0.3 Plug-in crashes browsers

While trying to view h264-encoded QuickTime movies on a webpage directly, many of these movies crash the browser, whether I use Firefox or IE. Does anyone have a solution for this issue? I don't believe this was a problem with 7.0.2; at least I never noticed it.
It happens quite frequently for me, though it does seem to be something about the particular movies. (Though they play just fine in the QuickTime Player.)
Every once in a while I get a warning window from Firefox that says "Illegal operation in plug-in" before the crash, but most of the time it just crashes the browser app completely.
Dell XPS   Windows XP Pro   7.0.3 QuickTime Plug-in

Cleaner hasn't been updated in at least a couple of years (all indications are that it's a dead product; the last version was a beta, never finalized) and does not recognize QuickTime 7 as a valid version. So he probably needs to use something else to handle the compression, though perhaps just avoid using a version preference setting in Cleaner might work (doubt it, though).

  • Playbook - powers off unless plugged in ... 8-|

Here's a fun challenge for you.
My playbook (latest OS, 2.1.1314) will only work when it's plugged in.  Actually, it will survive for about 10 seconds on battery power but then fail.  It's sitting in a rapid charger, with the green light glowing steady, and when it's booted, the battery is showing 100%.  Take it out of the charger, and within a few seconds, the screen and LED go dark; and the device will only boot again when connected to the power (USB or rapid charger).
I've re-installed the OS via Blackberry desktop; and with that - taken all apps and media off.  But the same behaviour remains.
I've not found any help on other forums for this particular fault.  I have not yet cracked the case open to take a look - but that's my next resort, unless anyone has any better ideas?
    Grateful for some help.

Limbrey, I came across your post today... I am experiencing an identical issue with my Playbook purchased in Sept 2011, with discussion started here:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-PlayBook/Only-Operating-When-Plugged-In-Battery-Is...
My issue is the same... I can boot normally when the tablet is in the dock, and my battery icon shows 99-100% charge.  The moment the tablet comes out of the dock, it goes dark and has to be booted in the dock again.
Restoring the tablet via BB Desktop Manager did not work, nor did the stack-charging method suggested for those whose battery has gone to 0%.  If the OS is showing a full charge, then either the OS contains an error that is not properly reading the battery level or, more likely, there is a problem in the battery's connection.
Since I am out of warranty, I opened the back of the Playbook as suggested in Knottyrope's post, but could find nothing wrong with the connectors.  I have not yet gone so far as to remove the battery post connections and clean them, which will have to be my next step.
If cleaning the battery connectors works, I will keep you posted.  If you find a solution, please do the same, as I'm almost to the stage where I'm going to have to buy another Playbook.

  • Opera 9.5

Does anybody know how to link Opera to Flash Player in Solaris 10?
Opera typically installs under /usr/local. (when the package is used)

    I've found the solution.
I don't really like it but it works.
    First check this: opera:about
    Preferences
    /export/home/depaepe/.opera/opera6.ini
    Saved session
    /export/home/depaepe/.opera/sessions/autopera.win
    Bookmarks
    /export/home/depaepe/.opera/opera6.adr
    Opera directory
    /export/home/depaepe/.opera/
    Cache
    /export/home/depaepe/.opera/cache4/
    Help documents
    /export/home/depaepe/.opera/opcache/
    Mail directory
    /export/home/depaepe/.opera/mail/
    Plug-in path
    /usr/local/lib/opera/plugins
    /usr/sfw/lib/mozilla
    User CSS directory
    /export/home/depaepe/.opera/styles/user/
As you can see Plug-in path lists '/usr/sfw/lib/mozilla'.
This is wrong, it should be 'usr/sfw/lib/mozilla/plugins'
There is a file in your home directory under .opera:
    pluginpath.ini
In this file the two above paths are defined.
I edited the file, but every time opera restarted it was overwritten by the original.
So I copied 'libflashplayer.so' usr/sfw/lib/mozilla, which made it work.
Perhaps I should define a link in /usr/local/lib/opera/plugins to usr/sfw/lib/mozilla/plugins.

  • MPlayer-svn questions

I've heard though the grapevine the MPlayer-svn will play a whole bunch of WM stuff natively. So, here are my questions:
In AUR there's a package build. What do people think of it so far? Is the MPlayer plug-in working with that build? Has anyone here successfully got it to run on Arch 64?
For the last question: the Subversion package build won't compile on Arch 64. I may see if I can find a solution if MPlayer-svn is worth the time.

    Yup, works fine here.

  • Tvtime has no sound: no 'mixer' device in /etc? [~SOLVED]

    Hi everybody
Every audio app were workin fine in this location up to 1 or 2 days ago.
Got latest Alsa & edited /etc/modprobe.conf accordingly to alsa wikki a long time ago, removing anything but those lines:
    alias snd-card-0 snd-intel8x0
    alias sound-slot-0 snd-intel8x0
As of today, bmp, amarok, opera, mplayer have sound as allways, but tvtime has none (and that came out just in time for my single favorite tv show, you know that  ) :
    Running tvtime 1.0.1.
    Reading configuration from /etc/tvtime/tvtime.xml
    Reading configuration from /home/kozaki/.tvtime/tvtime.xml
mixer: Can't open device /dev/mixer, mixer volume and mute unavailable.
    tvtime uses '/dev/mixer:line' by default:
    option name="MixerDevice" value="/dev/mixer:line"/
And may use some others like 'pcm', 'vol', etc.
But it worked fine until 1 or 2 days ago, & I did not edit tvtime conf file since months !?
What I found is there's no 'mixer' device in /etc :
    [root@llewellyn kozaki]# find /etc -name "mixer*"
    [root@llewellyn kozaki]#
any clue about that pliz ?

unmuted 'Line' in alsamixer and TV sound is back ...even if tvtime shows same warning message
mixer: Can't open device /dev/mixer, mixer volume and mute unavailable.
OK i get it clearer now : sound comes directly to/from the 'In' jack on my mobo integrated sound chip, so I have no control on it (like with an audio CD plugged directly to the sound card I guess).
That was most probably /me having played with alsamixer #-|
Uh, what is that still absent 'mixer' device supposed to do anyway ?

  • Photoshop CC 2014 Windows crashes on startup if plugins installed

Common commercial plug-ins (e.g. Shine-off, Portrait Professional) will not automatically install into this Windows version of Photoshop.
Nik filters will install manually, the installer does not recognize this version of PS, but the program crashes shortly after launch if the plug-ins are installed.
    No plug-ins, program runs.
I also have PS CC 2014 installed in OSX Maverick and the Mac plugins, specifically Nik filters, will install and work.
I do not see any entries for PS CC 2014 in the Program files/x86 directory as there are for every other windows version of PS suggesting a programming change.
I hope this is simply more buggy Adobe programming and not a deliberate attempt to sabotage Windows users and the plug-in market. If PS CC 2014 for Windows is not compatible with existing plug-ins its kind of useless/worthless if your workflow includes those plugins.

I do not agree that obsoleting all on my expensive plug-ins is a plug-in author's issue; some of these authors are no longer around / listed - it's an unannounced and not warned about break in backwards compatibility!
So, how do we restore operation for plug-ins in "legacy mode"?

  • Restoring my 3GS enterprise profiles to iPhone 5 via iTunes, not working

    Hi.
I have my main iPhone, 3GS running 5.1.1, having two essential enterprise profiles, coporate mail and enterprise WiFi profiles. I keep a regular complete and manual backup of the iOS w/ iTunes. Profiles were configured on a coporate notebook which I don't have my hands on at the moment, where iPhone backups are taken only from my personal computer, a Mac.
So I get my hands on a brand new iPhone 5, running latest iOS, 6.0.2. I activate it by inserting the nano sim provided by our local operator, I plug it to my Mac to restore latest phone backup on it. I finish restoring *everything* and getting all the stuff of apps, apps data, pics and mailbox perfectly to my new iPhone, wait a minute! Except for the enterprise profiles.
What should I do to get the profiles back. Why iTunes is not backing/restoring them? I can't switch to iPhone 5 as a main phone without these, it will not workout for me.
    Appreciate your inputs and help.

If you have not already reverted the look and feel to be like iTunes 10 then
    View > Show Sidebar
    View > Show Statusbar
click on the black arrow in the search box and untick Search Entire Library
Now you should be able to drag and drop onto your phone or use the sync pages
