XML Publisher Template Builder for Adobe Acrobat

Need a XML Publisher Template Builder for adobe acrobat as is available for word.

I did so.. however, publisher is not able to substitute xsl syntax by the actual value..
eg.
i had a <?X_PO_NUM?> in word (either using text field or manually writing this..) and i converted the word doc into pdf using third party s/w..
when i uploaded this template pdf with sample data file using xmlp admin repsonsibility, and tried to preview the output,
substitution is not happening..
the requirement here is, to have some input fields in final PDF output for which report-users should be able to type values in.
for which I assume initial template has to be in PDF itself..
any ideas or pointers will be much appreciated..

FileOpen Plug-in for Adobe Acrobat/Reader

When attempting to open a file the adobe updater wants to install this plugin "FileOpen Plug-in for Adobe Acrobat/Reader". After installation it dose the same thing wants to install "FileOpen Plug-in for Adobe Acrobat/Reader " over and over. The file never opens. Please help if anyone knows a fix.

when i tried to open a file, acrobat itself displays a message that needs to connect to internet. appear a window with the plug in. I tried to install automatically and happend what the first post says.
then i tried to install manually, and i get a message that says "A network error ocurred while attempting to read from the file. C:/.../FileOpenInstaller.msi"
i downloaded again and i get the same error

my company plan migration from Windows XP to Windows 8.1 x64. For this reason shall I find out, which Software run under Windows 8.1 x64. From Adobe Products we need to know, if Adobe Acrobat Prof. 8 and Adobe Reader Version 11 run under Windows 8.1.
If the Software named above run not under Windows 8.1 x64, could you write me please, which version we need und how much it is. Thank you very much.

If you have Acrobat, there is no need for Reader. Acrobat 8 is not certified for use on Win8.1, only Acrobat XI. You can get the current cost from the Adobe Store at Adobe.com. The cost is a per computer license. If you have a lot of computer, you might be able to negotiate with Adobe on a volume order or site license (for so many licenses) -- you would have to call Adobe on that.
AA 8 can be made to work in some cases, but I would not recommend it in a business environment. It is not worth risking some hickup with software that is marginally compatible when you have some deadline or such.

Purchased subscription for Adobe Acrobat Pro says trial expired

I have a purchased subscription for Adobe Acrobat Pro; however, it says that it is a trial and it is expired. I called into support and they said it was because I had multiple subscriptions under my account but there was a manual fix I could make to fix it. I was told they were going to send me the steps to resolve but I have never received them and I cannot use Adobe at all now. How can I get this fixed?

I am on Windows 7, and I was on Adobe.com. I went to downloads and clicked on Acrobat XI standard. It downloaded. But when I went to run it said Acrobat XI Pro and would not accept my serial number. This is my question, i have a big PDF file, 341 pages, another 500 pages, I want to make a table of content, and I read that this Program Debenu PDF Aerialist 12 as a plug-in for Adobe Acrobat does provide this solution, which allows you to quickly build a table of content, however the program is expensive at close to five hundred dollars, i wonder why has not Acrobat Professional put this service included in the program, if one can make a solution of Table of Content and Index, this would be great. Does Acrobat have this function already or do you think that I must buy this program. Yes one can make a table of contents using word program then entering it to the PDF file and linking each line of the table of contents with the relevant page, but this would take a long time, and the solution provided by Debenu sounds like good. I am looking for your advice as i do not know much in this field.

Acrobat does not have this built in. Normally, the table of contents is prepared at the same time as the document, perhaps in Word, which will use heading styles to do it automatically. Then this is converted to PDF. It is very unusual to do this work late with a PDF, I guess this is why it is not a core Acrobat feature.

I would like to create a plugin for adobe acrobat pro 9.0 in order to compare pages, delete the same pages and mark pages from first compared document with new and mark pages from second compared document with original. I downloaded the SDK for adobe 9.0 but now I am not sure how to continue? Do I need Visual Studio or can I use another program that is a freeware? What other program do you recommend? How can I open an .api file in order to see the code? Do I need to place the SDK files in a specific place?

1. You will need Visual Studio. Getting your first plug-in to compile can be an ordeal, be sure to use a sample project and work with it exactly.
2. API files are the work of other programmers. You cannot look inside, and to try to do so is a breach of most software licenses.
3. API files are installed to the Acrobat plug-ins folder.
4. You will not find samples or code to copy/paste. You should be an experienced C/C++ programmer, you should be familiar with the basics of the PDF file format ISO 32000-1, and you should be prepared to read thousands of pages of documentation.
