Operating sparc with a graphics display but no keyboard

Is there a way to operate my sparc embedded controller without requiring the keyboard to be plugged in. The keyboard is used during installation; but, once configured it is impractical to leave the keyboard connected in my application.
Our application requires the use of the two RS-232 ports for other hardware connections, so using the TTY port as my input device is not an option once the system is properly configured.
My biggest concern is that the sparc immediately configures TTYA as the input and output device when I leave my keyboard disconnected. I expect that this will interfere with my use of the TTYA port.
Your suggestions are welcome.

You don't say if your MacBook Pro is the new version that supports USB 3, if not the card reader will default to USB 2. The Ultra II is listed as 10Mb/s on old cards and 15MB/s on new cards, both within USB 2 specification. Extreme III are listed as 20MB/s old cards and 30MB/s new. These 30 MB/s maybe a bit too much for USB 2, not sure. see http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1111
If the Macbook Pro as USB 3 support it could be that it does not recognise the card reader as USB 3 and default to USB 2.

Of course the card reader could be faulty and not read the Extreme III cards unless you have verified it working in other situations.

I originally set up my mini with the included HDMI -> DVI adaptor to connect to a Sycmaster monitor. The graphics were very good.

Problem with playroll/graphic display

Hi, this is my first post so bear with me. I'll try to be as explicit as possible.
So, I'm having an issue on my iMac 24" 2.4 4GB memory. Randomly, after I edit a VST, or add an effect onto a track and playback the audio, the playroll will quit moving and the graphic displays (volume meters, etc) all stop functioning. If I click on the screen, it flashes the playhead and meters for an instant, and then immediately stops. It's kind of strange; the audio all sounds fine. I just like to see the playhead and movement on the display.
The real strange thing here is, when I restart Logic 8, even with the same effects and everything enabled--exactly the same--the playhead works fine. Then after a few more edits, this same thing happens. Restarting logic immediately fixes the issue.
Any advice--whether it be altering my buffer settings, etc--would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

Sorry, one thing to add. The things I'm editing are not that crazy--pretty simple stuff, a few filters.

Problem with Oracle graphic display in forms 10g

I'm upgrading a form from 6i to 10g. The form displays a chart and so far I cannot get it working when I run it from developer 10g. I have tried both run_product and og.open. The og.open causes error FRM-40735: WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06508. Run_product doesn't cause the error but still nothing is displayed. Below is the code:
run_product(graphics,'c:\orant\bin\actact.ogd',synchronous,batch,filesystem,plist,'block3.chart_area4');
og.open('c:\orant\bin\actact.ogd','block3.chart_area4',TRUE,TRUE,plist);

Where do I explicitly provide the tnsnames entry to Graphics?
We are using SSO when running Form, the db connect string are store in each user resource of OID, where resource type = OracleDB. Also Neither the existing form (calls the
*.ogd) nor *.ogd has tnsnames/db connect code.
As for the actual TNSNAME setup, we have local env var -TNS_ADMIN w/value of "D:\Oracle\MidTiers\network\admin".
That we want all three oracle homes: Infra10g, MidTier10g, Dev6i use the D:\Oracle\MidTiers\network\admin\tnsnames.ora, sqlnet.ora.
Apparently, Graphics in D:\Oracle\Dev6i doesn't pickup
the TNSNAME setting @ Midtiers
Can you give us some pointers on this? thank you in advance!!!

Windows, Linux?, if Windows what version?, What type and speed Memory are you using? What type of CPU, a P-4, a Celeron, what speed?.ect. I know that it's possible to create a gantt char with Business Graphic. But can you tell me if it's possible to add events to the elements of the graphic?
Or maybe there are other types of object that allow this.

Drawing with a graphics tablet in Flash

Hey community!
I recently got the newest version of Flash and wanted to do some drawing with my graphics tablet, but whenever i try to draw a freehand line, using the pencil or paintbrush tool, then for some reason, it draws a straight line leading to the bottom left side of the screen, and i have no idea why it is doing this.
When i use the tablet to draw in Photoshop, then it works absolutely fine, but not in Flash
Any help will be lovely!!

The issue is resolved in the latest update of Flash Pro.Please update Flash professional to 14.1.0.96 .Follow the instruction below for the same :
Installation instructions
Log out and log in to the CC desktop application. Update the application when prompted.
You should see the list of new updates as soon as the new CC desktop application is launched.
Install Flash Professional CC and Mobile Device Packaging app. On a high speed connection, it took me around 8 minutes.
After the application is installed, you can launch the application directly from the desktop app by clicking on it.

Scanning (Into JPEG) of Plain Paper with few graphics results into multiple images.
Whenever I scan a page which is almost a white paper, but has some graphics on it, then the Scanned Files is not a single, rather it becomes in multiple parts e.g. circle in one jpeg file, square in another jpeg file. However the scanning to PDF works fine. Please let me know if this is manufacturing defect or defect in the product I purchased.

This only happens if I scan plain paper with few graphics. But scan to jpeg is working fine if the page has multiple objects

I tightened all HD screws and it didn't help. With the machine running and side of the case off, I physically stopped both the video card fan and the front case fan with my finger for a couple seconds and the noise continued. I also took all hard drives out one by one and rebooted each time. Again, the noise continued until I took out the Mac HD in Bay 1, rebooted, and I had a very quiet, silent machine. The issue is the hard drive in bay 1 that shipped with the computer, it's without a doubt causing the hum/woosh sound. I still need to know if I can safely swap the Mac HD from bay 1 to bay 4 without any issues to the operating system. I would like to try that to see if it dampens the noise but I also want to make sure this swap won't screw up my machine at all.

Preview displays blank page with some pdf files but prints what is hidden

Some of my pdf files have started coming up as blank in Preview. There still is data underneath, which selecting areas will disclose as though you are scraping white out off the print. Printing is unaffected, and only some files are affected. Tried repairing permissions, but no luck. I recently did the OS update, and didn't notice the problem before that. I have restarted the computer a couple times,. a few odd artifacts have shown up on the screen as well, though box selecting over these causes them to disappear. I haven't been able to find any consistent difference in the pdfs that will display properly and the ones that won't. doesn't appear to be associated with when they were created or which version of software they were created with. Saving them under a different name doesn't help. Adobe reader works fine, so it is specific to Preview ( which I would rather keep as my default reader )
Any ideas what went wrong? How to fix it?

I have no trouble viewing the file you posted in the same version of Preview that you have.
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

Is it possible to set primary and secondary display with 2 graphics cards?

I have an Early 2008 Mac Pro with two graphics cards and four monitors installed. Does anyone know how the computer (or more specifically Keynote) determines which is the primary display and which is the secondary?
Also is there any way to change the scheme?
What I am trying to do is switch the primary and secondary from the two monitors in my office to the monitor at the podium (would like it to become primary) and a vga projector (would like it to become secondary)
I bought the second graphics card so I wouldn't have to switch the cables back and forth three times a week. All the monitors work fine, it's just a matter of determining or changing primary/secondary

I got that far – The keynote manual says that the display with the menu bar is the primary display – that works out fine. The problem is that the manual says that the display without the menu bar is the secondary (or alternate). But there are three displays without the menu bar.
What I would like to find out is: is there a way to choose the display without the menu bar to be the alternate?
When I try various combinations, there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to which display is the alternate.

Still Graphic displayed with idle DVD

Not sure exactly how to describe the feature, but if i stick a commercial DVD into my powerbook, i get a prompt from DVD Player that asks if i want to start the disc from the beginning or "last time played." What i'm interested in is what the DVD is displaying during this prompt. Generally, there is a graphic displayed with the title and artwork from the film . It is a still, but i'm not sure if its a special menu or slideshow or what.
I'm having trouble finding documentation about it as i don't even know what its called. Is anyone familiar with this feature or what the technical name/behavior is? Is it something that has to be scripted?
