Operation Wait Time

Hi,
I have to add 72 hours after a specific operation in scheduling. It is basically stay time of sheet metals after paint operation. How can I do it?
Scenario is discrete manufacturing.
Regards

Dear,
Many options are there
1. In WC, Scheduling tab page, give the Std Queue time as 72. Since it is not depends on the qty of sheet metel it is beter to give here so that afterv the operation, system will show 72 hr as inter operation time.
2. Create a operation with Secheduling formula which is not liked to oeration qty i.e. constant. This is required if you want to confirm the waiting operation
I prefer the first option.

  • Waiting time before operation in APO

    Dear All,
    I have a questions regarding the waiting time of operations with APO.
    Our customer wants to have a waiting time befor the operation. In R/3 there is no problem as we can use 'Wait time' to define the inter-operation time. But in APO 'wait time' is taken together with the 'transport time' as total on the end of the operation (according to oss note 604878).
    How can we configure the interoperation-times to have a waiting time befor the operation also in APO?
    Thank you in advance for you help.
    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi thomas,
    If the operation is in start, then u can add additional time as waiting time,  If it is in the middle, u can add waiting time before the prior operation as additional time.  If it is in the last, then u use Tear down time as additional time.
    Hope this helps, please confirm

    Locate the F11 key and start tapping it as soon as you turn on the system.
    Stop tapping once you reach the recovery manager screen.
    Click Troubleshoot .
    On the Troubleshoot screen, click Recovery Manager .
    On the OS selection screen, click Windows 8 . Recovery Manager opens.
    Under I need immediate help , click Minimized Image Recovery .
    When Recovery Manager prompts you to back up your files, select a backup option.
    If you have already backed up personal files or you do not want to back up personal files, select Recover without backing up your files , then click Next . Continue to the next step.
    Follow the on screen options and complete the system recovery.
    After the system recovery is complete, click Finish to restart the computer. Complete the setup screens and wait until the computer finishes the setup
    -Then, make sure to install all updates via Windows Update. Do NOT install any drivers for graphics etc.
    -I did NOT do any updates with HP Assistant
    -Run the update via Wired network, disable WiFi and Bluetooth
    -I did disable all things in Autostart. Could be reached via Win8 taskmanager
    -Ran Microsoft Compability checker
    Update went fine this time.
    Some of my steps might not be needed. And of course if MS compbility checker says a driver is not compatible you will have to update it.
    Hopefully it will get you there.

  • Wait time

    Hi, in our business after machining we need to keep the product in an area for 30 mins. after that the product will be moved to second operation. i think we can capture those 30 mins thru wait time. pls advise where and how to capture that 30 mins. pls note that we want to capture the cost of that 30 mins also. pls suggest.

    Dear,
    In work center queue time is your wait interoperation time or in CA01 or CA02 operation details screen minimum wait time has to be enter in the operation (view "Interoperation times")
    Then go to transaction CA02 ( change routing ) and schedule routing using following menu:
    Extras -> Scheduling -> Schedule
    In scheduling overview screen press on 'Scheduling results' button. Scheduled interoperation time calculated.
    Also note the wait time is scheduled according to the Gregorian calendar, i.e. neither a factory calendar nor the capacity of the work center are taken into account.
    Hope clear to you.

  • Wait time frequent insert

    Hello
    This was my exam question and still not sure about the answer
    You notice there is a very high percentage of wait time for contention event in your Rac database that has frequent insert operations.
    Which two recommendations may reduce this problem ?
    a-)shorter transactions
    b-)increasing sequence cache sizes
    c-)using reverse key indexes
    d-)uniform and large extents sizes
    e-)automatic segment space managemnt
    f-)smaller extent sizes Any suggestion ?

    Again, what exam are we talking about? If you're talking about one of the Oracle certification exams, be aware that you're not allowed to discuss post exam questions on public forums or to discuss them with other candidates. That's a violation of your certification agreement.
    Assuming we are not talking about an Oracle certification exam, I'd point out to the instructor that any or all the answers might be correct depending on the wait event.

  • High redo log space wait time

    Hello,
    Our DB is having very high redo log space wait time :
    redo log space requests 867527
    redo log space wait time 67752674
    LOG_BUFFER is 14 MB and having 6 redo logs groups and the size of redo log file is 500MB for each log file.
    Also, the amount of redo generated per hour :
    START_DATE START NUM_LOGS MBYTES DBNAME
    2008-07-03 10:00 2 1000 TKL
    2008-07-03 11:00 4 2000 TKL
    2008-07-03 12:00 3 1500 TKL
    Does increasing the size of LOG_BUFFER will help to reduce the redo log space wait ?
    Thanks in advance ,

    Looking quickly over the AWR report provided the following information could be helpful:
    1. You are currently targeting approx. 6GB of memory with this single instance and the report tells that physical memory is 8GB. According to the advisories it looks like you could decrease your memory allocation without tampering your performance.
    In particular the large_pool_size setting seems to be quite high although you're using shared servers.
    Since you're using 10.2.0.4 it might be worth to think about using the single SGA_TARGET parameter instead of the specifying all the single parameters. This allows Oracle to size the shared pool components within the given target dynamically.
    2. You are currently using a couple of underscore parameters. In particular the "_optimizer_max_permutations" parameter is set to 200 which might reduce significantly the number of execution plans permutations Oracle is investigating while optimizing the statement and could lead to suboptimal plans. It could be worth to check why this has been set.
    In addition you are using a non-default setting of "_shared_pool_reserved_pct" which might no longer be necessary if you are using the SGA_TARGET parameter as mentioned above.
    3. You are using non-default settings for the "optimizer_index_caching" and "optimizer_index_cost_adj" parameters which favor index-access paths / nested loops. Since the "db file sequntial read" is the top wait event it might be worth to check if the database is doing too excessive index access. Also most of the rows have been fetched by rowid (table fetch by rowid) which could also be an indicator for excessive index access/nested loop usage.
    4. You database has been working quite a lot during the 30min. snapshot interval: It processed 123.000.000 logical blocks, which means almost 0.5GB per second. Check the top SQLs, there are a few that are responsible for most of the blocks processed. E.g. there is a anonymous PL/SQL block that has been executed almost 17.000 times during the interval representing 75% of the blocks processed. The statements executed as part of these procedures might be worth to check if they could be tuned to require less logical I/Os. This could be related to the non-default optimizer parameters mentioned above.
    5. You are still using the compatible = 9.2.0 setting which means this database could still be opened by a 9i instance. If this is no longer required, you might lift this to the default value of 10g. This will also convert the REDO format to 10g I think which could lead to less amount of redo generated. But be aware of the fact that this is a one-way operation, you can only go back to 9i then via a restore once the compatible has been set to 10.x.
    6. Your undo retention is set quite high (> 6000 secs), although your longest query in the AWR period was 151 seconds. It might be worth to check if this setting is reasonable, as you might have quite a large undo tablespace at present. Oracle 10g ignores the setting if it isn't able to honor the setting given the current Undo tablespace size.
    7. "parallel_max_servers" has been set to 0, so no parallel operations can take place. This might be intentional but it's something to keep in mind.

  • Routing - Minimum wait time - only workdays

    Hello,
    we need to block for an operation in the routing 4 days (external processing).
    We dont want to use any external processing data in the operation for purchase order creation, just block the time.
    I've used Minimum wait time as 4 days. The problem is Minimum wait time consider all days, and not only workdays.
    Can you please suggest how to maintain an operation / work center / material master  to allow me to block X-days only for workdays?
    Thanks,
    Evgenij

    I have overall 5 operation.
    - 4 operation, where I want to setup queue time, which CAN be reduced.
    -  1 operation with queue time which should be NOT reduced.
    For 4 operation I'm going to setup reduction strategy in OPJS and link to each operation, using Std Queue time. So in case of backwards scheduling the lead time can be reduced. Do I need to setup min. queue time in this situation?
    I hope you are aware of that if you want to reduce any operation system shortens the operation to min queue time if you do not want this to happen then maintain only standard queue time.
    For 1 operation, I'll not use any reduction strategy, just Std Queue time as you suggested. In this case it will remain for scheduling.
    Yes if you have maintained only queue time and no reduction strategy then system would considers queue time for lead time scheduling.

  • Wait time after GR

    Dear Friends
    In REM,When i do backflush,after GR it comes to inspection stock and then in unrestricted stock.Now before going to next order it should be in wait 30 days in storage loaction and then it goes to next planned order.
    plz give solution.
    thanks

    Hi,
    The wait time maintained in Operation is for Scheduling purpose only..
    You can not enforce the componnt to get issued to the higher assembly (for th next stage)..
    Till one month, you can Block the Stock or keep the Stock as Quality stock, thn no one can issue the stock to the next stage.
    In my view, there is no other option than the manual tracking of the Materials..

  • Database Error: RSR0009: Resource not available for pool. Wait-time expired

    i am occassionally receiving the following error during database connections in my servlet:
    Database Error: RSR0009: Resource not available for pool [webAdvisorTestPool]. Wait-time expired
    i understand that this is a result of a connection leak from improper closure of my Connection object, but i thought that i was properly closing my connection.
    i can get the error if i do the following steps:
    1) access my login page and enter login credentials.
    2) submit the login which then hits the Authentication servlet.
    3) Authentication servlet authenticates and takes me to home page.
    4) hit the back button to get back to the login page.
    5) repeat this process until i hit the Max Pool Size (from web server).
    6) then i get the error message
    here are some details:
    i have an Authentication servlet; here is the pertinent code from that servlet:
    try {     // retrieve the user and add the User object to the session     DAO dao = new DAO();     Person authenticUser = dao.getPerson(userID, password);     session.setAttribute("validUser", authenticUser);     redirectPage = mapping.findForward("success"); }
    i also have a DAO object that handles all of my DB transactions (and you can see from my code above that the Authentication servlet is using that object); here is the pertinant code from that servlet:
    public DAO() {     datasource = "java:comp/env/jdbc/webAdvisorTest"; } public Person getPerson(String userID, String password)     throws ObjectNotFoundException {     // JDBC variables     DataSource ds = null;     Connection conn = null;     PreparedStatement stmt = null;     ResultSet results = null;     // User variables     Person validUser = null;     try     {         // Retrieve the DataSource from JNDI         InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext();         // if this statement fails, NamingException is thrown         ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup(datasource);         // get DB connection and perform SQL operations         conn = ds.getConnection();         // User variables         String validUserID = null;         String validFName = null;         String validLName = null;         String validEmail = null;         // get DB connection and perform SQL operations         conn = ds.getConnection();         stmt = conn.prepareStatement(PERSON_QUERY);         stmt.setString(1, userID);         stmt.setString(2, password);         results = stmt.executeQuery();         // iterate through the results         if (results.next())         {             validUserID = results.getString("id");             validFName = results.getString("first_name");             validLName = results.getString("last_name");             validUser = new Person(validUserID, validFName, validLName);         }     }     // handle SQL errors     catch(SQLException e)     {         e.printStackTrace(System.err);         throw new RuntimeException("Database Error: " + e.getMessage());     }     // handle JNDI errors     catch(NamingException e)     {         throw new RuntimeException("JNDI Error: " + e.getMessage());     }     // clean up resources     finally     {         doClosure(results, stmt, conn);     }     // if the user was not found, throw ObjectNotFoundException     if(validUser == null)     {         throw new ObjectNotFoundException();     }     return validUser; } protected void doClosure(ResultSet results, PreparedStatement stmt,     Connection conn) {     if (results != null)     {         try { results.close(); }         catch (SQLException e) { e.printStackTrace(System.err); }     }     if (stmt != null)     {         try { stmt.close(); }         catch (SQLException e) { e.printStackTrace(System.err); }     }     if (conn != null)     {         try         {             System.out.println("R18Resources.conn before close: " + conn);             conn.close();             System.out.println("R18Resources.conn after close: " + conn);             System.out.println("R18Resources.conn is closed? " +                 conn.isClosed());         }         catch (SQLException e)         {             System.out.println("R18Resource conn close error: " +                 e.getMessage());         }     } }
    as you can see, i've added some print statements in my connection closure block. based on my output log, each connection is being properly closed and i am not encountering any errors during that closing block.
    any ideas???

    Please try the following code in your doClosure method. Replace your code with the following code.
    public void doClosure(ResultSet pResultSet, Statement pStmt, Connection pConn) throws Exception {
    try {
                   if (pResultSet != null) {
                        pResultSet.close();
                        pResultSet = null;
              } catch (SQLException se) {
              logger.error( se );
              } finally {
                   try {
                        if (pStmt != null) {
                             pStmt.close();
                             pStmt = null;
                   } catch (SQLException se) {
                   logger.error(se);
                   } finally {
                        try {
                             if (pConn != null) {
                                  pConn.close();
                                  pConn = null;
                        } catch (SQLException se) {
                        logger.error(se);
    And let me know if you still face this issue. What is the application server you are using?

  • The wait time and resolve time is DEPLORABLE

    Today is the third day in a row I have called into Verizon for the same issue. Day one spent 25 minutes on hold and NEVER got to speak to a person before I hung up. Day 2 Had a 15 minute hold before I spoke with someone, who then told me I had to speak to directv about something that was related to the Verizon part of my service, called directv confirmed it was a Verizon thing with a supervisor. Called BACK into Verizon waited for 30 minutes before I spoke with someone, got 30 seconds worth of talk in before another 15 minute hold, he came back on no apology not anything about the absolute rudeness and lack of courtesy. He told me they would have it fixed by the end of the day. Now here it is the nest day still not resolved, So I write this (while on hold waiting to have the call answered, its been 20 minutes) She finally did answer and was down right rude and through me right back on hold. I am so fed up with big business...

  • How to keep waiting time between processed messages !!

    Hi Folks,
    I have got one scenario required waiting time between processed messages. The problem as follows !!
    File --> Proxy scenario. I receive 15 messages from sender side (same messages structure) so working with one interfaces. File picking and transforming this message and split into 2 messages. messages are receiving to receiver. I am using BPM with 7,8 steps like receiving step, block , message transformation step , internal block 1 for sender 1, internal block 2 for sender 2.
    All things are working fine, messages are going to receiver properly. But customer requirement is , wait step required between processed messages before sender1. I have put wait step still, PI picks all messages in one shot processing and waiting for 2 minutes, after 2 minutes sending all messages at the same time, this process is not working.
    I have tried with wait step in mapping (Sarvesh) given excellent idea, still PI works the same way.
    Can someone please explain a bit why the messages or not waiting message by message. I am using EOIO with Queue name and file process mode "BY NAME" and I have tried "BY TIME" as well. I have given priority to this Queue. On BPM Queue assignment : One Queue.
    Please I am expecting positive answer !!
    Many Thanks in Advance
    San

    Hi Rudolf Yaskorski ,
    Not sure about your PI release and BPM model, do you create separate process instance for each file, or do you process files collecting them in one single instance? Are you using parallelization within your ccBPM ?
    I am using serialization, I don't think bpm can do Parallization until PI 7.0, but PI 7.11 has got has queue assignment. But I am using one queue. This must be serialization.
    To me it looks like your issue is not in ccBPM but rather more in polling files (as per your post file CC polls all 15 files in one shot). So if you wish to poll the files not at the same time some workaround is required. Possible options you could check out:
    A. Either implement "wait" in your mapping based on file name or other criteria (e.g. directory name). Check out if respective BPM instances are really created at different times.
    I have used wait step in mapping. These 15 messages has to go through one interface. So I am using one interface. But I have checked mapping process time in all messages on receiver system. Shows same timing, even though I put 40000 ms waiting time in mapping.
    B. Try polling different files (or use different directories) with different channels and coordinate starting / stopping of your channels by scheduling availability for each CC in RWB. E.g. you poll file 1 with CC 1. You start 2 minutes later CC 2 and poll file 2. And so on.
    I am not clear about this . On BPM waiting step is working and it keeps wait all messages, which are coming through one interface. Then it releases all messages at the same time.
    I don't know how to resolve this. I have tried with Transport acknowledgment, but all messages are going to reciver system waiting at receiver system in priority queue and processing in EOIO, but taking so long. Rather all messages go and sits in queue, I want to stop messages by message with 2 minutes time gap. How please?
    Kind Regards

  • Waiting time between entry posting in R/3 and avail. in BW

    Dear SAP community,
    We have set up a process chain which gives us the freedom to load GL account into BW on an ad-hoc basis.
    Unfortunately it is not really ad-hoc after we have  posted an entry in GL account in R/3 we need to wait approximately 1 hour before we run process chain in order to see posted entry. If we run process chain immediatly after posting entry we woul not see the entry in BW.
    Does anyone knows if there is a waiting time from when we post an entry into SAP R3 to when we can run the process chain and see the posting in BW?
    Thanks  a lot for you help.
    Stefanie

    Hi Stefanie,
    What is the Datasource being used?
    For old GL extractors, like 0FI_GL_4, there is a safety interval upper limit of 1 day, meaning data posted till yesterday will be extracted if the chains run today. There are workarouds given by SAP to extract most recent data for these.
    For new GL extractors like 0FI_GL_10, there is a safety interval lower limit of 1 hour, meaning the most current data would be extracted and there would be an overlap of 1 hour between delta loads and some records are extracted twice.
