Opinion poll:Easiest tool or app for eliminating barrel distortion

I have 7 RAW images of paintings on walls that show some barrel distortion. I'll probably reshoot them, but in the meantime, what is your expert opinion on the easiest method to eliminate it. I have Photoshop CS 5.1, Aperture 3.x, Capture One Express Pro 7, Topaz, Elements 11, PhotoLine, and a couple others. I've never had to do this before even in my vast and eclectic experience as one of the world's premier fotogs( why am I not featured for six months in the forum sidebar?). Gotta start somewhere.

Camera Raw, set to use lens profile corrections.
One can also undistort the angles (i.e., make the paintings rectangular) pretty easily with some of the tools in the Manual section.
What I don't recall without firing up an old version of Photoshop is how much of this ability you have in your copy of Photoshop. I know you don't have the "Upright" straightening control shown in the second image above. If you can't get a barrel distortion correction, and you'd like to send me the photos, I'll be happy to run them through the modern converter for you.
Don't forget to look into the $9.99/month Photographer's bundle. Adobe actually IS doing good things to their software, making it worthwhile...

Adobe Premiere Elements plugin for fisheye/barrel distortion correction

I want to correct the fisheye/barrel lens distortion in a GoPro MP4 video recording. Can Adobe Premiere Elements do this (I've searched for such a function in my APE 11 without success) or is there a plugin which will do this and which is compatible with APE 11 ?

That is good news, and for $49, sounds like a deal. ProDAD does some nice applications and plug-ins, but I had not heard of that one - learned something new.
I was going to mention Alien Skin (also do some neat plug-ins), as they have/had a similar "lens distortion" module in their lineup. However, I did not see PrE listed as a host application, so held off. Most of their plug-ins work in Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects. We see similar with plug-ins from Red Giant and Boris, where PrE is not a viable host app. Not sure why not, but it must be in the numbers - both user-bases and $, as Boris & RG plug-ins often cost 3x what PrE does.
It's also great that the ProDAD plug-in offers some stabilization - probably a bit of their Mecalli stabilizer is built-in - you get a "twofer!"

What tools do developers use to create AIR 2.5.1 apps for TVs?

Developers can use the following tools:
AIR 2.6 SDK
Flash Professional CS5 Extension for AIR 2.5 (now an integral feature in Flash Professional CS5.5)
Flash Builder 4.5
Note: Developers can use the AIR 2.6 SDK for developing apps for AIR 2.5.1 for TV. In Flash Professional, set the publish settings to Adobe AIR 2.5. In Flash Builder, set the AIR namespace to 2.5 in the app descriptor file:

If you are using Flash Builder 4.5, you must do the following:
1.Download the Flex 4.1.0.16076 SDK.
2.Download the AIR 2.6 SDK.
3.Copy each file from the AIR 2.6 SDK into the corresponding directory within the Flex 4.1 SDK, replacing the Flex original variants.
4.To use this SDK within Flash Builder, select your project in the Flash Builder package explorer.
5.Choose Project > Properties to open the project's Properties dialog box.
6.Select Flex Compiler in the list and then click the "Configure Flex SDKs" link to open the Preferences dialog box.
7.Click the Add button, browse to the SDK, and then click OK until you get back to the project's Properties dialog box.
8.Click the "Use a specific SDK" option and then pick Flex 4.1 from the drop-down menu.
You must also replace the default WindowedApplication element with Application in your project's MXML file.

Extracting the rankings is fairly simple, using RANK. But the data layout, with totals in non-contiguous cells, makes it impossible to use RANK without first gathering the totals into consecutive rows.
To do that, I made a small revision to the Total labels in column A of the supplied table, to make each label distinct from the others. The addition was a two letter prefix identifying each team, seen here in a sample set of rows and columns from the table:
The new, distinct labels were used as a search key for VLOOKUP, to transfer all of the totals onto a second table, Totals, using this formula, entered into Totals::B2, and filled down and right to the rest of the cells in columns B to O of that table:
With the data thus arranged, it became possible to rank the totals in each column, using the formula below,
Entered into Ranks::B2, then filled right and down to O9: =RANK(Totals :: B2,Totals :: B,)
Finally, a second VLOOKUP formula retrieved the rank values from Ranks, and placed them into the appropriate cells on the Data table:
Enter into Data::B5: =VLOOKUP(LEFT($A4,2),Ranks :: $A:$O,COLUMN(),FALSE)
Confirm the entry by clicking Accept, then Copy. (Note: copy the cell; do NOT select and copy the formula from the entry bar.)
In each Rankings row:
Click on the cell in column B, Shift click on the cell in column O (selects all cells in the row except the label in column A)
Paste
Repeat for next Rankings row.
Done.

The best and easiest is to use the iPad's built-in AirPrint system with an AirPrint-capable printer. <iOS: AirPrint 101>
If you do not have an AirPrint-capable printer, all printing Apps are a compromise. I have an HP non-AirPrint printer connected to my WiFi router. The free HP App, ePrint Home & Biz works OK with photos.
Print n Share and PrintCentral each have their own browser, mail, text and photo programs that work well with the printer, but they can only be accessed from within other programs that have the "Open In" option. (So far, I think GoodReader is the only App I have with that option.)
You can run a program like Printopia or FingerPrint on your computer that will share its printer as AirPrint over WiFi. They both are reported to work well. However your computer must be on and awake any time you want to print. <Printopia for Macintosh> <FingerPrint for PC and Mac>

"Text polling" system/apps for use at conferences by the attendees?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if any of you can recommend a simple, reliable, and cost efficient system/app for polling conference attendees (via a test messages), or something similar where they could use their cell phones?
The idea is to have attendees vote/make their choices via their cell phones. Perhaps by sending a text message.
I have heard some of these systems work well, while I've heard others do not.

I defined the RTF template and getting the PDF/ EXCEL/HTML/FO AND XML output for the report as I mentioned
'Well this will get you 'Excel' and 'RTF' reports by changing completion 'Fromat' option at SRS'.
We can achieve EXCEL / RTF FORMAT output by setting 'VIEWER: TEXT'T to 'BROWSER'. This will make all other reports ( non XML) to be viewed in browser, which we want to avoid. We still want to Non-XML reports in the same request group to be viewed in default report viewer where it displays the output by page by page.

You can use the Adobe Content Viewer on large Android devices. It is unsupported on phones.

OK, at least 3 is working.
I don't know how you have a Tape Recorder icon on your Home Screen. I cannot add one myself. But, I am running Holo Launcher in replacement of the default LG "Optimus" User Interface. It's much better in my opinion.
Try long pressing the icon and select Edit and maybe you can change some attribute of the icon.
Another thing you could do, is long-press an empty area of your desktop, to add an icon. Select Shortcut, then Select Contact, and scroll through your contact list and choose the contact that you added for *86.
You realize if you have voice mail you haven't heard, there is a tape recorder icon in the notification bar, which you touch and pull down, then press it to dial voicemail.
If that functionality doesn't work, you MIGHT want to consider doing a factory data reset on your device, but that is going to nuke all your personalizations and cause you work to set up again.

i was wondering how easiest way i can transfer contacts from droid to iphone.. i had a droid thru sprint and upgraded to iphone4.. droid is not activated, iphone is.. which would be better: sync info on droid (its not activated, can i connect to wifi tho, instead of mobile network and sync to google? ) then open google somehow (how??) on iphone 4 and sync?? or connect droid to usb and laptop and somehow transfer to iphone4 as a different folder or drive? i don't use outlook or anything, can i just use windows explorer and drag and drop or something? or is there maybe a specific app that takes care of this?? even how to transfer all info from droid onto SD card and transfer THAT to iphone??? trying to figure out easiest way to transfer my boyfriend's stuff.also, what best ringtone app for iphone..thanks!! How connect multiple swf in the same app for iOS

i have a problem.
i have a lot of swf file each one is linked to another: i have a menu page with botton linked to different games (one swf for game).
Now i need to convert all of this in an app for iPad.
My question is: which is the easiest way to create link between all my swf files?
I read a lot of things but i really don't understand how i can move.

ok, this is the way to add file in my app (if is correct i already have the appname.xml file);
but what about navigateToURL? can i use that or i have to use another script? can you make me an example of script ?
using this script i found the following problem:

I, for one, support this request - especially with the universal app situation and the developer tools available to help convert iOS and Android code to Windows, there really shouldn't be much blocking this app being released. By all means say you're not going to write a Windows Phone 8.1 app from scratch, but how about a Windows 10 Mobile universal app? This would run not only on phones, but also 3G/4G enabled Windows tablets. If your developers are not aware of these tools, please get them to take a look at developer.windows.com to be enlightened!
