Dear experts,
From morning onwards a try to login into this forum.but no luck.
@ the end of day, it's logined. please am facing this problem sometimes.
what is the problem. why i cant do anything.? just i can view the page. but not able to login
if any problem in adf means we can come to this forum. but but. the problem in forum means where we have to go?. ;)

The page I am sending this from at the moment shows "logged in as Beverly Howard" at the top but clicking "post message" results in a "login delay" failure, so the only option is to navigate back to the top, log in, navigate back to the message an try again... sometimes several times... tip for others... copy the message body from the edit box before you navigate back.

!!! Forum Problem "Login Delay"

There is a problem with the forum when responding to email digest messages...
Responding to any post by clicking the message link in the digest email, then clicking "post..."
results in a login screen...
however, at least all of this week, immediately logging in results in
"Login Delay" meaning that the message cannot be posted or salvaged.

Please help - discussion forum problem.

I am subscribed to Apple Discussions forum "Mail & Address Book - Tiger" to receive a weekly digest. Today, however, I have received about 20 emails - each time there is a post to the forum. I checked "My Settings" and it indicates weekly digest. I did re-save that.
My pop mail server rejects new emails after a certain number and I don't want it to reject important emails because it's filled up by these individual posts.
Any help would be appreciated.

Since March 2007, when I first signed up, I've been getting weekly digests. Here is the email I received on 6/24 which states:
"You have requested mail to be sent to you when messages are posted to certain areas in Apple Discussions.
The following updates have been made since 6/17/07 1:06 AM
Forum "Mail & Address Book - Tiger" has been updated 2000 times .............."
It then proceeds to list all 2000 of them (in that one weekly digest email) -- with links.
Today was the first day I received individual posts.
After receiving 35 individual emails today, I changed "My Settings" and unsubscribed, and since then I haven't gotten any.
It might be some email glitch as Ernie and MacJack sugested "that all the problems encountered in the forum operation this week" and "others who do (subscribe to weekly digests) reported this also."
I solved MY problem in that I'm no longer being inundated by emails. I don't know if Apple solved theirs.

this is OT, but I don't know where to put it. If someone from apple is watching -- when I click on My Questions on the Apple Discussions page I get the following every time:

I think you have the same problem that a lot of first-time posters have; it's not possible to start a new topic in the top-level categories (such as "TIger forums"). You have to click on a forum name (for example, Installation and Setup, which is where you are now, or Using Mac OS X Tiger, which might fit your question better). When you reply to an existing thread with a different question, most people won't get to see it.
So, to your question: how do you know the hard drive space is getting smaller? Emptying your trash should definitely increase your available space. If you open a Finder window and look right at the bottom, what does it say? What happens when you delete a large file and then trash it - does this number increase or decrease?

OTN Forum Problem?

First,
I want to say that - this is not the proper place to post this. But, i want to know the feedback from other members here. So, apology for that.
Recently, approx for last 10 days i'm encountering continuous problem in this community. Very frequently i received site unavailable or other error message during any post or reply. Sometimes, i can't even view a reply by other forum member. I've encountered this not only in my Laptop also but faced this in my office where i spent here during my free time ;) .
Now, my question is ->
Is this problem encountered by all?
Or, i'm receiving it only?
I bought it from Chicago this year. And, has latest configuration. I'm using Windows Vista Home Edition. I've encountered the same problem in almost all the browser like IE, Mozilla Firefox & Google Chrome.
If anyone share their experience here that will give me an initial idea about this problem. Sometimes, it is very frustrating, too.

Although off-topic here: Same behaviour, I guess it's a forum "feature".
I wonder if they were able to narrow down what the root cause of this issue is; it looks like a "load" issue.
I mean, if it's a database related issue, there should be someone around who is able to fix this :-).
Or why not post the problem here, there are enough clever people around who could give some advice.
If it's related to the middle-tier/application server or a "Jive" java application issue then there are other sources that could help.

I am only seeing the first 10topics and there is no next link
like the other forums. Is this a known problem with this forum?

Forum problem - anybody else see this?

For the last week or so, I've been having a problem with this forum. I can view pages and threads, I can create and reply to messages, but the "new message" indicators (the red dot, the white dot, and the half-red/half-white dot) are not updating as I read.
Normally, if I read a thread, its indicator changes to white to show that the thread has been read and that there are no new messages. If I mark all messages in the forum as read, the indicators stay the same.
Is this a problem with my account and/or browser or is it a problem with the forum? I see the same problem on MSIE and Netscape.

I've noticed a host (pun not intended) of problems over the last week or two.
1.) Problems with signing in. I can View the forum fine as guest, but when I try to sign in, it times out and finally says there an error with the SSO page. This has been fine the last couple of days though.
2.) The same problem first mentioned.
3.) Once in a while when I do a page refresh, the grid lines disappear. However, if I refresh again, then they come back.
4.) Several others that just slipped out of my head while I was writing the above. That's one REAL bad thing about trying to think so early in the morning, before the caffeine has a chance to kick in.

Forums - problem with watch e-mails

Hi,
I'm forums administrator at our company.
I have 1 user complaining that he doesn't receive watch e-mails although he is watching several threads.
His watch settings look OK.
For other users the watch e-mails work fine.
Is there any logging available somewhere? E.g. of the mails sent by the forums application?
Logging under Admin Console -> System -> Monitoring -> Logs is not helpful.
An other alternative could be that for every mail sent by Forums application, a copy is sent to the administrator. I don't know if that can be achieved somewhere?

Receiving Exit Code 6 error. Tried instructions in forums, problem getting worse

I have been having trouble for a long time trying to roll back to Photoshop CS5 Extended after trying Photoshop Creative Cloud Trial (trial expired 2 days ago). I keep getting error messages, and have searched the forums around the clock trying every solution I could find. Have tried diagnostic / safe mode, reinstalls, scannow, msiexec, uninstall & reinstall Air, uninstall & reinstall Net Framework, reset permissions for color profile folder. Going nuts trying to solve this. Can you help? Here are my Error Logs. Thank you in advance!!

Creative Suites for Windows - Forum Problem

Why is the latest post in this forum dated 2 years ago?

Going back a bit, the Creative Suites forum was much more active. More recently, the activity has been targeted at the products within the suites. This was really evident back with CS2 Production Studio. As it added early versions of ADL (Adobe Dynamic Link), there was then more of a reason to discuss things under the umbrella of Creative Suites. Now, the implementation of ADL in the products, that made up the old Production Studio, mean that discussions relate more to the individual products. I have also seen a marked decline in Creative Suite activity, and have not even checked in many months.

Many questions with last post today show the question is answered but when opened they indicate not answered...

Yes we know the counters are messed up. The Jive developers are working on the issue. It confusses us also, not being sure if someone has replied to a post or not until it's opened. Interesting that they show as not answered on your side....
It may also be a replication problem. Seems some of our systems were having problems today.
Hopefully they'll have the counter problems all fixed shortly.
I should also mention that when I do get time and/or bored at home I tend to log in to clean up old posts that people just forget about and not give those credit for their time answering.
