OPSI setting remain as ABAP code after client deletion

Hi all,
I'm just wondering if anyone face this problem before:
1. I've created some test data in OPSI (validations of project system) in a test client (eg: 201)
2. I perform client deletion on 201 and client copy from PRD to 201
3. If I check the include statement, the test data still exist as ABAP code (and will generate an abap runtime error). However, if I go to OPSI, the test data no longer not exist.
4. If I re-create the test data in OPSI, then this problem is solved.

THere is nothign to worry about it. It is std.behaviour. Wheneven you trasport or Copy client with refrence to Validation. Even though validation is in place in congiuration but system not read that validation and behave as per last config of validation.
You need to correct the same manually by Validation menu--> Simulate function, This will internally generate ABAP code according to your currnet validation. After that your system will behave correctly according to currnet config of validation.

    1.- You can see the largest table report in ST04 (as far as i remember)...
    2.- You can reorganize your db using brtools - brspace...

  • FREE SPACE COLLECTION AFTER CLIENT DELETION

    Hi,
    I delete a client but there is no effect on the database size.... means all the table space are having the same size as before client deletion...
    What to do... to recollect all the free space after client deletion...???

  • Space Reorganization after client delete.

    Hi Gurus,
          I have a doubt in reorganization of  space after client delete.
           I have created a client and the client copy(local) was done successful. Now i want to delete the client and want to clear  the space occupied by  the new client (approx 2 GB) . Can u help me how to empty the space occupied by this client.
         My environment..IDES 4.7 . Win 2k. Oracle database.

    Inorder to delete the client login to the particular client say like ex: 300
    execute from the functions or SCC5.
    Select if u want to delete it from the entry of table T000, schedule it immediately or background, Whenever it is deleted the space is not automatically freed from the database although these areas can be filled up with new data.
    When a client is deleted and created again, the space which is freed can be filled up with new data.
    To immediately restore the free space perform the database reorganization, this is recommended when ur client is having a large amount of database.
    For ur case the client is of size 2GB,  the new data can reuse the free space of the deleted  client,
    Checking the space management, current sizes,space statistics etc., Goto the Database performance or Tcode DB02 check the Date/Time analysis when it has done, Else do refresh so that a dialog box is opened and prompts u to select
    1. Perform the database checks
    2. DB checks and update statistics
    Select the 2 option so that it will reorganize the database.

    What program/function module is fired off when a kanban is set to empty?
    In PK13N, if I click "kanban empty" a process is started that will eventually refill the kanban, but what is the ABAP program that handles this?

    Before clicking the kanban emity, in the command box type /h and press enter then it will go to debug mode.

  • Dbase reorganisation after Client Deletion

    Hi All gurus,
    We are planning to Delete 2 clients on our DEV system namely 020 and 060, i just wanted to know whether after deletion is the space automatically adjusted or are there any steps to be performed so that the disk space is utilised to the best and is reorganised.
    Please help me with the relevent Tx Codes for dbase reorganisation (If required).

    Hi Kent,
    Yes, you need to reorganize the tablespace, in order to reclaim space to the OS. This is because, Oracle already allocated the space when you added or extended a datafile and will not be released this space, until you reorganize the tablespace. Please check the note "Note 646681 - Reorganizing tables with BRSPACE".
    For example;
    brspace -u / -f tbreorg -s psapddicd -t "*" -p 4

  • Abap code not working  - deleting based on master data table information

    I wrote a piece of code earlier which is working and during test we found out that it will be hard for the support guys to maintain because it was hard coded and there is possibility that users will include more code nums in the future
    sample code

    Now I created a new InfoObject master data so that the support people can maintain the source and code number manually.
    master data table - the codenum is the key.

    now I wrote this routine all the data gets deleted.
    tables /M/PGICTABLE.
    Data tab like /M/PGICTABLE occurs 0 with header line.

    LOOP at tab.
    DELETE it_source WHERE /M/SOURCE EQ tab-XSOURCE AND /M/CODENUM NE tab-XCODENUM.

    But when I chage the sign to EQ, I get opposite values , Not what I require.
    DELETE it_source WHERE /M/SOURCE EQ tab-XSOURCE AND /M/CODENUM EQ tab-XCODENUM.

    It's obvious why it deletes all the records. Debug & get your answer i wont spoon feed

    HI, my name is Tom�s. I have a problem using the Visual Web Pack 7 with netbeans 5.5.
    If I drag n' drop any control (for example a button) to the form (the page) and the I delete this control, the button code isn't removed from the Java source.
    I think this make my code very confuse :s
    Does exist any way to mantain my code clean automatically?

    Drag'n'dropping is definitely not productive. Creating might be fast (very significant though), but maintaining and troubleshooting will take a longer time. It's bad if you don't understand the generated code and therefore cannot fix the eventual bugs/issues quickly.
    Once you understand the code you'll find the generated code by drag'n'dropping awful.

    This program up / downloads from / to a local dataset
    all the components of an ABAP - i.e TEXTS, the entire CUA
    including statuses and menus, DYNPROS and source code.
    Program documentation and variants are not handled.
    INCLUDED programs are automatically handled both on upload
    or download. INCLUDE selection can be excluded or generic
    e.g only handle INCLUDES starting with ZIN*
    INCLUDES within INCLUDES alos handled.
    The only restriction is on UPLOAD the INCLUDED programs must come
    from the same directory as the main program.
    On Download of course the ABAP must exist in the library.
    Note for LINUX and BATCH users
    This program was originally designed as a one off tool for
    getting ABAPS etc from a SAP R2 (IBM MVS mainframe system) into
    an R3 test system minimising the need for a large amount of
    mainframe sysprogs (anybody remember what they were !!) time
    and support to say nothing of access problems from TSO /JES2 /
    SAP R2. At that time network connections were patchy and the
    transport systems largely incompatable and not very reliable.
    This program was originally designed as a one off tool for

    again. This change still needs to be implemented.
    If you don't use the / in the abap name then this is not a problem.
    If file to be uploaded is in rel 3 format then names are only 8
    bytes long.
    program uses 3 datasets per abap
    1) abapname.eee source, dynpr logic, texts, CUA stuff
    2) abapname.hhh dynpr header
    3) abapname.fff dynpro fields.
    because of varying lengths and contents 3 data sets are used. The
    complexity of combining all these to 1 data set would make the
    program far too complex.
    NOTE: This version of the program can only be used on
    release 4.0 or higher. Once an ABAP has been converted
    to rel 4.0 it cannot be converted back to rel 3.0
    on a release 3/3.1 system. Release 4 CUA tables
    are different. Use release 3 version of this program
    for releases 3.0 and 3.1. Available on SAPFANS website.
    Note that data to be uploaded must have been previously downloaded
    by this program (any version since rel 2.0) - except for Initial
    Load -- see end of these comments.
    Dynpros and CUA statuses have changed since rel 3.1
    This program will handle rel 3.1 format on upload but will
    download in rel 4.0 format. To upload 3.1 format specify an 'X'
    in the rel3 parameter.
    If you have downloaded components in rel 4.0 format and you
    want to re-load to a 3.1 system you will have to load
    the source via standard upload and re-create dynpros and the CUA
    manually.
    As names can now be longer than 8 characters you can only
    use this program if the SAP front end (SAPGUI) supports
    long file names (WIN 95/98 or WIN NT). Windows 3.x will not
    work as the underlying DOS system cannot handle long file names.
    UPLOAD function and DOS directory.
    When an ABAP is selected for UPLOAD then the DOS
    directory is read into a table. A file called ABAP.BAT is created,
    and down loaded to the 'C' drive and executed.
    This file executes a DOS DIR command and pipes the output
    into a dataset which is then uploaded into an internal
    table on SAP.
    Note on running DOS commands from ABAP
    The first time this procedure is executed you will see a DOS window
    which you will have to close manually. To get round this
    use windows explorer to select the file ABAP.BAT and then
    right mouse click on the file name. Select the
    properties window. From this click the CLOSE on EXIT box. This
    will then automatically close the DOS function after it has
    executed. (Windows restriction).
    The DOS function has not been tested using Windows 2000 so
    it might not work. OK on W95,W98,WME and Windows NT (No Thanks)
    If INCLUDE programs are wanted on UPLOAD only the specified
    directory is searched.
    Instead of entering path name manually you can click on
    the path parameter. Because of Windows restriction you will
    have to select ANY file in the relevant directory.
    The path will then be copied on to the selection screen.

  • ABAP code to set Infopackage Monitor to "RED" status?

    Hello,
    I have an Infopackage that is using ABAP code to determine the selection values dynamically for an Infoobject during the load (Type: 6 ABAP routine).  We have built in customer error checking on the selection values based on our requirements.
    In the event of an error I need to do the following:
        -Set the 'Total' and 'Technical' color status to "RED" in monitor.
        -Define custom error message in "Status" tab of monitor for load.
    Does anyone know how to accomplish this?  Links to an example or previous thread will be appreciated.

    The status of a particular request is stored in the table RSREQDONE. You can have an abap code to modify the entries of the field TSTATUS (technical status of the request) in this table for the given request number.
    Example:
    Value of @5B@ for this field denotes that this request is successful (GREEN)
    FYI, I am not sure how recommendable this process is coz I never implemented before.
