Hi everyone, is there a way to include my OPTIN getresponse html code into an ebook I've created from Word? Just wondering as that would be very useful to have as a feature!

Hi, hbirkie, and welcome to Apple Discussions. No, there isn't any way to apply text to a photo in iPhoto — you have to do that in a different application. MS Word is the last one I would ever have thought of using for that purpose, but if it works for you, great!

Sliced Images are Broken after Converting HTML into a PDF

I am trying to create a PDF of a webpage and after Acrobat converts it, the page is broken apart in multiple pieces. I noticed that this is happening to images that are sliced. Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening?

Just to clarify, I only want a PDF image of the web page -no functionality of it. The equivalent of a "print-screen" of the page without the IE window/toolbar etc. I need to have it in PDF format for printing purposes.
ASP code is also appearing in the PDF and I don't want this to occur.

I see that you can package HTML into a PDF. Is there a support table of what HTML is supported in this process? Is HTML5 supported?

It's funny because you would think boxing up HTML5 into a PDF would be "priority number 1" for Adobe Acrobat?
would this not solve tons of issues and create multitudes of awesome situations for mobile, desktop, etc.

Converting HTML into PDF

I have a request to convert a HTML Response (FM: HTTP2_GET) into a PDF Document.
Has any body an idea how to handle that.

The easiest way to convert web pages/sites into PDF is with Acrobat! Important: this is Acrobat (costs a few dollars) and not Acrobat Reader!
Acrobat has a web capture tool. With the older version I tested there was some minor problems.
(1) It is not recognized as a browser we support. You will have to knock out the browser checking for this to work. Look at the cl_htmlb_content->runtime_validation. The last case statement. Modify your system to temporarily comment this out. (Do not forget to place it back!).
(2) The older version I tested with had problems to convert complex pages into PDF. The new rendering we use is to browser specific. Your milage might vary.
Alternative could be just to "print" the page from the browser into a PDFWriter (kind of printer driver that comes with Acrobat). This actually worked very well.
Alternative is just to make screenshots into word document and convert this into PDF.

first i tried iText it works properly. but it needs all the tags to be witten correctly.
when u try html not well formeted it gives an exception.
So is there any way to convert html to pdf.
or if not if not then way to convert html into properly taged HTML
so it s easy to convert it to html,

hello,the webelements library uses a feature of pass-through html available in xi & xir2. activating pass through html allows the report developer to embed html into a report so one can create custom html that would not work by formatting a field or text object to display as html.pass-through html will not render controls on pdf exports and will show up as regular text in pdf.you might have miscronstrued a portion of the demo where it was mentioned that one could get around pass-through html showing up as text in pdf...the workaround is to hide this text and does not render the actual web controls.jw

InDesign CS6 - Can you add Google Walking Tour into a PDF document or interactive pdf?

I am trying to figure out how to add a Google Walking tour into my pdf document. I tried using the HTML feature in InDesign CS6 but all i get is a static image of a map. Acording to the features of InDesign this should be working correct? Please let me know if this is possible or not. Thank you!

That will work in DPS, but not, AFAIK, in PDF.

JasperReportIntegration tool - Report coming back as HTML instead of PDF

Using:
* Apex 4.1.1 (using EPG)
* 11G SE
* Apache FOP as print Server
* Dietmar Aust's free tool on integrating JasperReports
I've recently created a second APEX instance locally (from externally hosted instance) and copied the application (via application export) and parsing schema (using exp/imp). Everything works fine except when I try to print reports (for JasperReports) it comes up as garbled HTML instead of PDF.
In my hosted instance it all works fine.
Since the necessary packages to integrate with Jasper reports goes into the parsing schema for application, all necessary objects are imported as well during the exp/imp.
The only thing different about the hosted and my local instance is that the hosted one is XE where as my local one is SE but I don't think this is a factor at all.
The other difference is the hosted instance uses Apex Listener while mine doesn't. Again don't think this a factor as well.
My print server is enabled and working and I can print tables as PDF reports.
I am not sure if I need to enable something or missed a step needed so the reports come up as expected as is the case in hosted instance. Any hints or suggestions welcome.

Hi Dietmar, I couldn't do it as I couldn't find that line I needed to modify. The XLIB_HTTP package goes upto line 45 and those lines referred in that post goes upto 89,90.
But then I was due to change from EPG to Web Server + Apex Listener (for other reasons) which in turn solved my issue anyway.

I understand that I can merge files online. What I'd like to do is have my original PDF open and convert an Excel sheet into a PDF that is attached to the original PDF within Reader. Being able to do all of this in one place is the main reason I'm subscribing.

Yes, you are correct that merging can only happen online however if you are trying to achieve all the three task togather then i would recommend you to purchase the complete PDF solution Acrobat Professional.
You can achieve this task with the feature in Acrobat called as Action Wizard which create a batch sequence of all the three process. You just need to run the process and your job is done.

My customer is using a PDF fillable form I created, which has a single text box to use for letters, etc. She has a Word document that contains a table/chart that she wants to insert into the fillable PDF, but when she brings it into the PDF the table/chart disappears. How can she get that part of her Word document to insert properly?

In the latest version of Acrobat the grammer was added to allow embedding a swf file. Unfortunately the Designer (the tools for getting the swf in there) lags behind and will be there in a future release. So if you really want this you must do it by hand and it will only work in Acrobat/Reader 10.
