Opt-in to 'Discovery Mode' for Spotify Radio

I'd like to be able to toggle on/off a 'Music Discovery' setting whilst listening to a Spotify Radio Station.
Sometimes I'm happy to hear artists repeated in a Spotify radio station, but sometimes I just want to hear something new.
Instead of changing the radio station algorithm to never repeat artists, like some forum members have suggested, how about letting the user opti-in to Discovery Mode.
It could be implemented into the GUI with a subtle toggle that appears next to the current radio station title.
When this is set to OFF (default for each radio session) the radio algorithm works just like it does now.
When this is set to ON.
Only play artists the user doesn't curently have in any Spotify playlists
Only play artists the user doesn't have in their local libraries
Don't repeat artists during that radio station session
These rules are just a suggestion. There could be a better way to define what 'new music' is for any given user, such as using these rules but using song plays instead of artist plays. Does anyone have other suggestions on how to achieve this?
However, the rules aside, the ability to opt-in a no repeat radio station that only plays music I haven't heard before is something I'd love to use, not all the time but definitely some of the time.

Spotify needs to improve its radio system. That would be an WONDROUS idea if we were able to discover new, or forgotten artists and songs. I don't like it when Spotify tries to imitate Top 40 radio. It gets boring.
I wouldn't mind if the songs only repeated every 10 hours, but every 3 hours, OH MAH GODDD. It's not a biggie, but it sure is a pain in the rear.
Another issue that I'm having is that the radio forgets my liked tracks. Whenever the same song plays, it doesn't show that it's liked. The exact song is in my "Liked from Radio" playlist, but still it pretends it's not liked.
Somebody better fix these problems soon or otherwise I'll have to play music on Soundrop.

Improvement suggestions for Spotify Radio

Spotify radio is great, not up to the standard of Pandora but you're getting there soon I hope. Still the same tracks loop play all the time. It fells like there are only about 30 songs looping around and few new songs are played.
1. Make it possible to dislike a track that was previously liked. Once you have liked a track it's not possible to dislike (thumbs down button is disabled. So if you accidentally liked a song, or get tired hearing a song, you cannot change your mind later.
2. Add the like/dislike option to the right-click menu when spotify is minimized on the taskbar. It's awkward to have to bring up the app do indicate that you like/dislike a track. When playing from a playlist these options could simply be disabled.

I find myself frequently going out to bars or clubs and hearing a song a really like, but don't know that song. So on my iPhone, I have an app for that SoundHound or Shazam etc. But when I get home and I want to listen to the song again, I have to go back onto the app and find the song and then type it into spotify.
I think it would be great if SoundHound and my Spotify account were integrated. I can check my listen history or my bookmarks from SoundHound on my Spotify account.
It would be so great. More artists would be discovered and spotify could potentially get more listens to more artists.
Figure out the logistics to make this happen.

Bridge and Client Mode for dual radio 3502

I want to use my dual radio 3502e AP to service clients on the 2.4 MHz and do a point to point bridge on the 5 GHz. Is that possible?

3500 series AP's are technically only supported in lightweight (controller based) mode.
7.0.116.0 allows 3500's (as well as most other models) to operate in mesh mode. This would be a better alternative.

Fixing Radio: Fine tuning songs (Hits, Variety or Discovery Mode)

Our radio has always been weird, you never know what songs it plays, and it always REPEATS THE SAME GOD darn SONG over the past hour.
It's time to fix it.
If you've tried, or at least clicked into an app of a competing service, this is how it looks like:
You can kinda tune the station to WHAT YOU LIKE, for eg, Hits, Variety, or Discovery and the radio will adapt what you want to hear.
Here's another example (A not very solid example though):
As you may know, Echo Nest is now a Spotify company, anyway, this shows the radio where you can slide to whether artist only or discovery in general (This might not be a good example, as if I just wanted to listen to the artist, I would've just went into the artist page and click on Shuffle Play.)

This is a relatively new music service, but if you've tried its radio, you wil find out that its really really spectacular. You can tell the service what is your mood and it plays songs based on that, but if that's not enough. It actually has brand new algorithms that is built just for this, I read somewhere that it even monitors your location, the songs you play in that location/event, the volume the song is playing and when you hit the radio mode, it will analyze all of this algorithms and play based on that.
So the radio needs improvements in its really bad algorithms and a fine tuning option.
PS: If you go the comments section of this idea, in page 2, bought up a really good visual of a competing music service vs Spotify when using the radio, if you've time you should take a look and if possible share more of the problems that you face with Spotify Radio.

"Improving Station" is a joke. I have a station based on Laura Nyro. I keep getting the same very popular Nyro songs (but even that rarely) and some other 60s, 70s, 80s female vocalists. Nothing newer. I also get a ton of stuff nothing like Nyro, including male vocalists and male bands. How many times do I reject anything of Elvis Costello before you stop playing it? Same for many other artists. You really need to track that if someone has rejected every one of an artist, quit playing that artist. Or, better, provide as has been suggested elsewhere here, a button "reject artist." I've nothing against Costello, or Lightfoot, or the Doobies, or Bread, or many of the artists you put forth on my Nyro station. I just don't want anything besides lilting female vocalists on my Nyro station. (As well as much more Nyro.) Your learning algorithms are a joke, song by song is useless-- I have to come running back to the computer to keep rejecting stuff, even though I've been trying to "improve" the station for weeks.

View RX neighbors for selected radio does not show any information

For some but not all of our WLCs, our WCS is not able to View RX neighbors for selected Radio in the maps.
WLC is running 4.1.171-code, WCS is using 4.1.83 Base+Location.
I use Monitor-Maps, slecet a map and hover with my mouse over one of the APs to select "View RX-neighbors".
The error-message appearing is:
"There are no RX neighbors for selected radio."
Who knows help about this ?

Hi. I've run into this before with one 1242 AP in LWAPP mode. I was running 4.1.171.0 on my 4402 WLC. I had users report a dead spot in the plant and when I looked at the heat map it told me the following. The A radio was not detected. The BG radio was detected but did not have any client counts on it. Also when I told the AP to view RX neighbors it said that there were no RX neighbors for the selected radio. I thought the AP had a hardware failure due to the fact that the 1242 doesn't have the modular radios like the first gen 1200's. So, I had the unit replaced with a brand new one. When I had the chance to TFTP recover the original, the A radio was detected again. I converted the AP back to LWAPP and it worked without any issues. I attribute this to a bad LWAPP upgrade / code corruption. I'd recommend to TFTP recover one of the AP's and set it back up again in LWAPP mode to see if the problem is resolved. Hope this helps!

How to set Compatibility Mode for a single site in ie10

I am having problem with getting ie10 to set ie9 compatibility for a single site (sharepoint.contoso.com).
When I add this website in Compatibility View Settings (Alt > Tools > Compatibility View Settings > 'Add this Website') it adds the domain 'contoso.com' and not the individual website (sharepoint.contoso.com).
This cause other sites (www.contoso.com) to be configured to use compatibility mode. Because this is a separate site (different web server) to the site sharepoint.contoso.com (sharepoint 2010 server) we need different compatibility settings.
Using a different example to explain the issue -
Microsoft has three websites that are different websites created by different developers written in different programming languages and they only work with certain browsers.
microsoft.com (Website1 created by Developer1) - compatible with ie8/ie9/ie10
msdn.microsoft.com (Website2 created by Developer2) - compatible with ie8/ie9
technet.microsoft.com (Website3 website created by Developer3) - compatible only with ie10
The only thing the three website share is the URL contains 'microsoft.com'.
Marking 'msdn.microsoft.com' to run in compatibility mode affects the other 2 websites - mainly technet.microsoft.com which will not work now since it only runs in pure ie10 mode.
Should you be able to add an individual site to the compatibility list instead of all sites that have .microsoft.com in the URL? Am I missing a simple setting in the ie10?
As a workaround I am using the F12 Developer Tools to set the Browser Mode which temporary sets the compatibility mode. However this is not a nice solution to the end users at our organisation.

Oh! I wrote it wrong: I should have said: This is not solved for NON-AD environments. No demands what so ever to use Window 7/8 professional in a small corporation or on a big corporation with Island of smaller departments for example offshore.
The problem is that the thread is not "Answered" by the OP, its is marked answered by a moderator (and same moderator that did the answer) so no way of telling if the OP is satisfied.
But you are right in the fact that I am almost kidnapping the thread. But a complete answer would benefit all in this case I would presume.

Last resort

Has somebody set the database ready for archiving, maybe some maxl has been run and the db has not been returned from read only mode.
Try running the following Maxl (change app.db to match your app/db)
alter database app.db end archive;

I don't think you can realize it, because in SAP system there are 6 influncing factors:
Material Type
Plant
Industry sector
Transaction
Procurement indicator
SAP Delivery
Field selection is controlled by field references. You can assign field references to the influencing factors material type, plant, and industry sector in Customizing. SAP maintains the assignment of the field reference to the transaction codes, to the procurement types, and for the SAP delivery. You cannot change this assignment of these field references in Customizing.
So from my point of view, you can't use the factors of material type, plant and industry sector to distinguish different users' authorization.

Unable to enter Recovery Mode for my iPad Air
While updating my iPad Air to iOS 7.0.6, it went into an endless loop of cycling between the white Apple screen and the whirling dashes. I can't even reliably shut it down. It seems a prime candidate for recovery mode, but unfortunately I can't get it there. When I try to enter recovery mode by attaching to iTunes then pressing the home key and then reattaching theUSB cable when attached to iTunes, I just go back into the same endless loop Apple screen / whirling dashes cycle.
Right now I'm just waiting for it to power off by letting the battery run down, to see if that jumpstart brings it back up into a different state.
Anything else I can try? Or is my next stop the Genius Bar?

The timing on this has to be...just...right to enter DFU mode. If that won't work, plug the iPad Air into your computer and set the iPad into recovery mode, like so:
1) Turn off your device. If you can't turn it off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time and wait a few seconds for it to turn off.
2) Plug the device's USB cable into your computer only.
3) Hold down the device's Home button as you connect the USB cable to it.
4) When you see the Connect to iTunes screen, release the Home button. If you don't see this screen, try steps 1 through 3 one more time.

I replaced my keyboard batteries and the light is flashing so it is in discovery mode. But I am stuck on the home page where I need to type my password, without a keyboard. Aluminum trick didn't work. What do I do?

I shut off my computer and the next day replaced the batteries in my keyboard after getting the low battery message. After replacing them and turning the keyboard on and off the green LED was blinking which meant it was in discovery mode. The problem is I can't login to my computer because I need to type in a password. But I can't use the keyboard so I can't use my mouse to find the device because I can't login. my iphone went into recovery mode for some reason and is unable to be restored. it wont turn on and when plugged into a charger it shows a usb and itunes symbol. so i plugged it into my mac and connected to itunes then itunes said it has detected a phone in recovery mode and needs to be restored. so it goes through the restoration process for a couple minutes or so then stops and says itunes is unable to restore because an unknown error occurred (2001) or (2006) and other times i try it says its unable to restore because itunes cant detect the device... any ideas how to fix this?

Errors 2000-2009 (from Apple support): If you experience this issue on a Mac, disconnect third-party devices, hubs, spare cables, displays, reset the SMC, and then try to restore. If you are using a Windows computer, remove all USB devices and spare cables other than your keyboard, mouse, and the device, restart the computer, and try to restore. If that does not resolve the issue, try the USB issue-resolution steps and articles listed for Error 1604. If the issue persists, it may be related to conflicting security software.
