Optical drive stop playing music and eject the cd

I got an HP OmniPro 110 AiO PC, everything its workning fine, but when we start playing a music disc, it stop, and eject the cd.....It's something working bad with hardware or software?...we tested with different CD's.
Please help.

And whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit as with this and the product number I can provide you with accurate information.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Which Windows operating system am I running?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?
As well if you could answer are these the original CDs or burnt copies of the original or mixed CDs?

Stops Playing Music and Goes to Home Screen

I have had THREE 32GB iTouch. I will be listening to music and all of the sudden it will stop playing music and go to the homescreen. The store the I bought it at says that this is not common but I have to think it is considering I have had THREE of them. Does anyone know why this might be happening or what I can do to fix it?

I have an ipod touch 1st gen 32 GB. It stops playing music randomly. The battery has been replaced and I've tried restoring iOS 3.1.3 as a clean install but the problem persists. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

The battery died so I had it replaced. Now it stops playing music (It was doing this before with the old battery when plugged into power cable)... it won't even make it through a whole track. I have tried turning off and on, turned off autolock and restored several times to 3.1.3 with no apps, just music but the problem persists.
Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you for the speedy reply! I suspected it to be a hardware fault but found a lot of people online had experienced the same problem. What should I do? Obviously it is well out of warranty and the battery is literally brand new. Seems a sad waste if it cannot be repaired. I've yet to find a definitive answer or what to do, be it contact Apple etc....

Airport Express stopped playing music and iMac doesn't see it

I had set up an Airport Express to stream music from my iMac to my stereo. Worked well for a day or two then stopped. I tried to re-establish the connection but Airport Utility doesn't even see the Express any more. I tried the reset button on the bottom of the Express but that made no difference. When I plug in the Express the green light shows briefly, then steady amber for a few seconds followed by flashing amber. The Express is within range of my network but to make sure I tried plugging it in to an outlet a few feet from my router. Airport Utility still didn't see it. Is my Express toast or am I missing something? Oh, yeah, I'm using a Belkin router but that didn't seem to be a problem when it all was working.

I spent some more time with this last night and was able to get back up and running, albeit with some oddities.
I had previously tried a reset with the AX unplugged. I finally realized how silly that was and did another reset with the unit powered on and right next to the iMac. After some hesitation, it was seen and recognized. I was then able to set it up in the livingroom, connected to the stereo. For some reason, when I first tried that after the reset, the iMac once again didn't see it. I brought it back to the desk, did another hard reset and set it up all over again. This time it worked although I can't for the life of me figure out what I did differently.
Oddities:
When I first reset it, the AX went from solid to flashing amber. When I got it playing with the stereo, no light at all showed. When I got up this morning, the unit was showing a steady green light. I don't know what that's about.
While it plays strong and true much of the time, there are dropouts. Sometimes these last only a second or two but other times can last for up to a minute, with some raggedness upon re-establishing the connection. Do you know of any way to overcome that?

Optical drive seems to try and eject nothing?

I'm using a MBP 2.4GHz and starting a few days ago my optical drive makes a sound like it does when ejecting a disc at random intervals when there's no disk in there. Not running anything special, just when the computer is sitting there with no programs... Any thoughts?

Same here. After 18 months of use, it just started in the past week or two.
MacBook Pro ...
Nothing in the optical drive. Same noise--as if trying to eject something.
Seemingly random. Lid open or closed. Active use or screensaver or asleep. lots of open apps or nothing but the finder. After multiple reboots.
Doesn;t seem to hurt anything. But is very annoying.
these are the only system updates in the past month:
2008-05-28 14:41:37 -0400: Installed "Mac OS X Update" (10.5.3)
2008-06-12 15:44:31 -0400: Installed "QuickTime" (7.5)
2008-06-13 21:19:36 -0400: Installed "AirPort Utility" (5.3.2)

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Cant burn a disc, cant play music and surf the web, cant cant cant ***

Ok so why is it that if I am listening to music with itunes I cant even do simple things without it skipping and sounding horrible. Also every time I try to burn my music to a disc I get an error “unknown disc error 4261” *** is this. oh I am using itunes 6 as I heard that 7 was far worse than this brilliant piece of work. Now how come I can use windows media player wile I use adobe premier and photo shop at the same time. I have a farly decent compi so why is it that itunes cant do anything worth wile other than put music on my ipod. btw my ipod is going to go on eBay just as soon as I can figure out how to get my paid for music from itunes onto cd. Itunes dosnt offer the ablility to chand the setting wile burning a disc or any of that. is there a special apple itunes cdr that I need to buy that cost $100 for a 2meg. What is an unknown disc error 4261 I cant even fix whats wrong and my compi says nothing is wrong. I am able to burn data disks for school no problem. I am trying to burn the music onto to light scribe cdr’s I did try some cheepo disks but that didn’t work so I figured it didn’t like the old disks and hey I can use the discs in my car so why not. Itunes has done nothing but **** me the f off since I got it and all I want to do is get rid of it but im sure they will not refund me the money for the music so I want it on disk and in a useful player like media player.

Suggest that you ask Sky what type of wireless security that is used on the devices that they provide.
Once you have that information, you can choose the correct matching setting when you configure the AirPort Express to "join" the Sky wireless network.
The "password" would be the normal phrase that you use to connect to your wireless network at the present time.

My nano stops playing music

i got a problem:
i go out of the house and want to hear some music with my ipod nano. i can hear about 2 minutes and after it stops playing music like hitting the play button (down on the clickwheel ^^).
i tried nearly everything and im very desperate!!! and YES i had the 'HOLD' button on! ^^

Yes, in theory re-converting would lessen the quality further. However, I have heard people claim (unsubstantiated) that if you are encoding with the same encoder at the same bit rate, then since it will use the same algorthymn, it won't really change the file. I have absolutely no idea if that is true or not.
But... I figure some slight loss in quality re-encoding is still better quality than a song that only plays half way and then stops, right? I suppose you could always tag those files in the comment section with something like "Re-Encoded" and then later if you gain access to your old CDs, you can then make a Smart Playlist to gather those songs and then re-rip them again from your CDs.

I have a brand new ipod nano and I am wondering why it stops playing music if I let it sit to long with out pressing the stop and it has a battery life

So I just got an Ipod nano from apple and I decided to pop it in and listen to it but if I do not use the touch screen for more than like a minute, it turns itself off and stops playing music. why?

This is usually an indication that the headphones are not plugged all the way in. The white part of the headset should be flush with the Nano and no silver from the jack should still be seen. The newer headphone jacks on the 6G Nanos are a bit tighter than in previous generations and require just a bit of extra force to pop them all the way in.

My ipod touch stopped playing music in the middle of a song and now stops playing music. It says that it's playing a song but i don't hear anything. I've tried turning it off and on and restoring it's settings.

So like the title (which i thought was suppose to be a question to tech support) suggests, my ipod touch has stopped playing any audio sound. I've turned it off and on and restored it to it's default settings and still nothing. If it helps, it stopped playing music a few minutes after i accidently had some water on it.

- First place the iPod in a sealed container/bag of rice for a couple of days. Change the rice daily. Do not turn on or charge before it is dry.
- The try the standard fixes, reset and restore, including restoring to factory defaults/new iPod.
- Try both headphones and speaker.
- If no usccessful then the water caused permenent damage to the iPod and service is required.

My itunes has stopped playing music. I recently downloaded more music and now it has stopped playing, it says it is playing but there is no sound and the time bar does not move from 0. I've had this from new for 2 years, the battery life is excellent and lasts for days so I know it's not a power issue as it was fully charged that morning. No signs of connection in itunes, it's not showing as a connected device.
Can anyone please help?
