Optical out shuts off after some time without being used
Hi,
I bought a Mac Mini to run XBMC on my TV. I connect the video out via HDMI to DVI and optical out to my sound system. It works great when I first start using it but when I return (usually a day later), I don-t get any sound. Restarting the application doesnt fix the issue and neither does logging out of my profile. A software reboot fixes the issue.
Has anyone encountered this issue? Any suggestions on possible fixes?

You must understand that nobody here will be able to offer exact diagnostic and say what is wrong there. We can just speculate what it can be.
Such power problems are not easy to repair and mostly it has something to do with motherboard and power supply electronic or something else.
If you think BIOS battery is empty connect your notebook to the AC power supply and leave it ON about 48 hours. RTC battery should be full charged.
To be honest I don't believe problem is RTC battery. There must be something else. Anyway try to load RTC battery to see if there is some change to earlier situation.

Sound shuts off after lengthy time not in use
Hello all -
Upgraded to new 2G Nano last week. Setup, firmware, iTunes7 all work fine. Play on Nano for the most part is fine. One very repeatable annoying issue occurs though:
Steps:
1. Play an audiobook or song
2. Pause the play and leave the Nano for a period of time (in my case > 1 hour)
3. Return to Nano and press play to restart at point of pause
At this point I expect to begin hearing from where I paused the audiobook or song. Instead the sound is muted (no sound at all) and I see the time lapse indicator ticking away.
I then ...
4. Paused the playback
5. Go to any other song on the Nano and begin play
6. Verify sound is back to normal (has been for all tests)
7. Go back to paused audiobook/song and start play again
At this point, the sound has returned.
Obviously - this is very annoying, especially if I am listening to audio books to have to go through steps 4-7 all the time.
Anyone else have this issue? Is this a possible software issue (iTunes 7 had me install latest 1.0.1 software for 2G Nano)? Or could it possibly be a unit issue for me to have local Apple Store technician take a look?
Any feedback is appreciated!

HP Laptop Windows XP ProYes! I have basically the same thing with my 8Gb. In my case, it affects only Audiobooks. In fact, every audiobook has the same issue. However, no song or podcast has the issue.

Have had the Turbo Droid for only 3 days and just tried to shoot video. Twice it worked, but more often it seems to begin recording, but shuts off after one second without recording anything.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong to cause this to happen.

Haven't seen any error messages. Occasionallly, but only rarely, the video will record 1-2 frames, but most of the time it just shuts down. I have tried it with and without the rubber-grip case; taking off the case had no effect. The video still would not function.
When you tap the video camera icon, it tries to shoot video and seems to begin to record, but one (or two) second(s) later, it beeps and stops. Rarely with a frame or so of video; mostly nothing is recorded.
The still camera works great! Love being able to touch it anywhere to grab a snap.
BTW, my partner and I got identical phones at the same time last week. His video has the exact same problems as my phone.
Another point: I downloaded the Google Camera and can shoot video just fine through that camera. But not through the stock Motorola camera that came with the Droid Turbos.
I'm starting to think we got phones from a defective batch.

It seems that server operates normally except it stopped execute RMI commands until it is restarted. After that it responds properly and after some time stops again with the same client exception.

Safari keep shutting down after some time browsing.-
Hello, I would like to knowif this is happenning to more people, after some random time of browsing Safari closes with a memory dump window and asking me if it can report the problem.
This has happened 6 times in less than two hours and I have tried restarting the laptop, deleting cookies and resetting Safari, no success.
This is annoying because this is the first time this happens and I'm using my MacBook for more than 3 weeks now.

That's not a memory dump, it's a crash report. You need to post that crash report before we can determine the problem.

N73 got shuts down automatically after some time

my n73 music edition gets shut down after some time autmatically please can anybody tell me the reason.The reason is that nokia phones have many bugs and problems.
A common cause of this problem is 3G. If the phone is in a weak 3G area the loss of 3G signal can cause the phone to reboot. It's an old problem thats been affecting nokia's for years. Disabling 3G can stop the random shutdowns.
It may also be worth updating the phones firmware but this is a fairly risky procedure that can cause more problems than it solves. -

When an external application (in this case SAP NetWeaver) is clustered with VCS, there are options to execute scripts at various operation cycles of the VCS agent for the application in question. I would recommend reviewing the application group configuration, corresponding VCS logs, as well as the path to the scripts and their content.
I can assist from VCS perspective if the question still stands.

interacts with the computer for a certain period of time. In your
startMovie script, add
on startMovie
the timeOutLength = 60*60 --Add a length here. It is in 60ths
of a second, so 1 minute is 60*60

My I phone is restart after some time. Some times find out its off then if I press Home + Power button then again re-start. Some time after coming apple logo it take auto restart ...display become blue color. I have restored through I tunes and got I cloud backup. But stll have same problem.
Try once again to restore using iTunes, but this time without using a backup, to make sure that this is not software related.
If the phone still restarts on it's own, get it checked, this might then be hardware related after all.

GPRS services suddenly stop working after some time abt 4 hrs.Airplane on off solves it
I am using a factory unlocked iPhone 4 GSM in India. Iam currently using it on airtel network 2G services i.e GPRS services. Now the problem I have noticed is that the GPRS services suddenly stop working after some time say about 4 hours. Then what i do is to turn airplane mode on and then off or restart the phone and GPRS starts working. Agan after some time I have to repeat this exercise. Please help soon. This is happening since the time i bought this phone i.e from past 20 days. I have tried allpossible network settings and resetting network but nothing helped. everything else is working perfect.

I have also started facing the exact same problem since the past few months with my docomo service.
Earlier, EDGE / GPRS used to work just fine from my workplace where the network was good.
But recently, I got my iphone replaced, due to a network problem, from an apple store in indianapolis, and also upgraded to ios 5.....so not sure now whether this intermittent EDGE / GPRS outage is due to the new hardware or the new OS.
Did you upgrade to iOS 5 and did it help?
PS: iOS 5.0.1 also doesn't seem to be helping, I still need to restart the phone to get EDGE / GPRSt to work.....will try out the airplane mode thing....at least that shouldn't take as much time as a full reboot.

Time capsule traps iTunes library
I copied my iTunes music library to my time capsule. Now I can't figure out how to copy it off the time capsule HD. The original library resided on a Firewire HD and is now corrupted. Time machine was not used.
