Optimizing Photo Gallery

Question

Hi guys. Just recently I received some very good advice from
a number of you regarding the issue I had with speeding up my photo
galleries. I decided to use a combination of all the advice I
received:
1. I optimised all photos (both thumbnails and big images) as
much as possible.
2. I restricted each gallery to a maximum of 8 photos.
3. I used the ShowPic extension from Project Seven. I now
don't have to embed the big pictures and only load the applicable
pic when required.
All of this has solved the problem and I am quite happy with
the result so far. A dummy gallery can be found at
DUMMY.
With all your help I have solved one problem just to find
that there are now other problems:
1. In IE7 everything behaves as expected. In Opera 9.02,
Firefox 2 and Netscape 7.2 the big pictures are opening 10 pixels
lower than set.
2. DW keeps on warning me that in Netscape 6 there is no
attribute 'onclick' for the IMG tag.
Any ideas anyone.

Change this -

You can either ignore it (NN6 hasn't been seen in the wild in
years), or fix
it by making your links properly. Select the image in
question, and use the
event dropdown on the behaviors panel to change the event
listed from
onclick to <A> onclick. That will move the event call
out of the <img> tag
into an <a> tag that wraps the image.
