Optimum number of people on one call?? Poor sound...

We have monthly meetings with at least 9 people and have been using Skype for the past two years. The quality of sound has got poorer with voices dragging, people dropping out, and echo.
Is there an optimum number of people for these Skype meetings? Can you improve on sound quality?

Hyper Text Transport Protocol (HTTP) is a stateless protocol,

Why would people get a call from my number if I don't call them?

I've had several people "call me back" because my number has called them several times. I don't and they all live in Illinois and I am in Tennessee.

It's called spoofing:
Caller ID spoofing is the practice of causing the telephone network to display a number on the recipient's Caller ID display that is not that of the actual originating station. The term is commonly used to describe situations in which the motivation is considered malicious by the speaker or writer. Just as e-mail spoofing can make it appear that a message came from any e-mail address the sender chooses, Caller ID spoofing can make a call appear to have come from any phone number the caller wishes. If you had Find My iPad enabled on it then you could try locating it either via http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone / Find My iPad on another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or Find My iPad disabled on it.
If it was stolen then you should report it to the police and you should contact your carrier. You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

Quickest place to look is in the label attached to the box the phone came in.
Not around anymore? Maybe the carrier you used the phone with can facilitate the information. Also, when under contract, the IMEI is listed in the paperwork. Apple, alas, is quite unhelpful with that information.

Skype number not displaying correctly with Caller ID

Hello, I have had my Skype number for several years and it's been no problem for those with Caller ID to have my Skype number displayed when receiving a call from me. However, the past few months this has changed dramatically. Now, my Skype number is NEVER displayed when calling someone and in fact, most of the time it displays numbers or even names randomly which have zero relation to myself or my number. Other times, the users Caller ID will display "Skype User". Why has this suddenly happened and what can be done to ensure that it's corrected and working properly again?
My account is indeed configured to display my Skype number (as it has been for several years), but this has no longer has any bearing whatsoever on the number displayed when I call someone. I have found that some people are no longer accepting my calls since they have no idea that I am the one calling them.
This is happening when I call numbers in the U.S. and sometimes Canada and does not matter where my physical location is - if I am in the U.S., U.K., Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc, the result is always the same - my number is NOT displayed.
If anyone could offer some advice which would take care of this, I would be most appreciative. Thank you, Greg

But that same FAQ indicates that Caller ID is available for the U.S. And this is where I make the majority of my calls. However, as I mentioned in my original post, my Caller ID has NOT been displayed for several months. What is displayed are randomly changing phone numbers and names that have no bearing whatsoever with anything related to my actual Skype number or name. I've done my own testing when calling my home phone from Skype. I'll call multiple times in quick succession and I will get different results each and every time. How to know Skype number is it used to call from?

When someone calls my mobile phone from Skype, a random mobile phone appears as the caller ID. When he calls my house phone from a Skype, a random local phone number appears as the caller ID.
What is the logics of that? Is it possible to determine if some phone number belongs to Skype?

Good point! I just checked one of my contacts from whom I receive frequent calls, and who also has multiple numbers in their profile, and noted the same thing.
When someone calls your Skype Number, you would indeed not be able to determine if they are calling you via the Skype account, or via the Skype Number. This is by design and is normal, because the Skype Number simply provides a fixed (or, "land") line number for people to reach you, and you answer on Skype.
The only work-around would be to separate out all of the numbers.

1. What is the optimum number of session beans(stateless/statefull) to have in an enterprise application. Whats the basis on which we got to divide a large ejb into two. Is it ok to keep a number of small ejbs or a single BIG ejb to cater to all the method calls.
2. Whats the criteria in which we got to decide the session management. When one usually go for a stateful session bean and when we have to resort to manage the session in http(session object in servlet) itself.whats the trade off.
Pl gimme some resources in the net which deals with the above problems, or whatever docs u r having.

There is no "absolute" answer to that question. It depends so much on your environment, your architecture, your app that it is impossible to answer to that question.

You can ask this to 10 persons and have 10 different answers. The only thing I can tell you is to avoid "Godlike" session beans that provide everything. I think you should think in terms of functionalities. Each ejb should be a coherent set of methods, regardless of its size. If it creates problems afterwards, it is quite easy to split or group methods in new components.

When a contact has multiple numbers, how can I tell which one called me?

For example, if a single contact entry has a "home" number and a "mobile" number, there seems to be no intuitive way to tell which one called me from the iOS 7 phone app--only the contact name is listed on the Recents screen, and the info button for the call shows all the numbers for that contact.
I've done extensive searching, and though I found some people asking the same question, I couldn't find any answers! I could wait and examine my phone bill statement, but I don't think it shows the incoming number... I figure there must be a way, because clearly my phone knows the specific number!

When I look at calls in my Recents list, there are two lines. The top line is the contact name, the second line is the listing from my contacts that indicates the label for the number the call came from. If that is not enough, then you can tap on the at the end of the listing which brings you to the individual contact. The number you received the call from will be in a different color than the other numbers. In mine it is in blue. This is just like the information provided in the earlier part of this thread.

When someone calls me to my cellphone number, it says I didn't pay my cellphone bill and can't commutate the call... I call my company and as it's expected - everything is just fine!
Is it possible that my phone number got stuck on program level somewhere at skype commutators?
One weird thing is: every day I can receive one call normally. After that it gives the error. AND! If I am calling somewhere on my phone, I can receive skype calls unlimited times...
Who do I contact in that case? I am lost...

Suddenly I can't send to more than about 25 people in one email. I used to be able to send to 100+, no problem. What happened?

For years I have sent an email to all teams in my cricket club by simply adding each separate group list to the 'cc' or 'bcc' list and pressing send, thus sending the same mail to 100+ people simultaneously, no problem. Suddenly the system says I am trying to send it to 'too many recipients'. I even had to split some of the group lists in to two separate group lists because it seems that the maximum number of people I can send one email to is now about 20 people. This is a problem especially that sometimes players would comment on the email and wish to include everybody in the club, so would use the 'reply all' function. Now they can only reply to those on the same email list as them, which sometimes isn't even all of their own team...
Club leaders are on more than one of the team lists, so some people now have to receive the same email in their inbox up to 5 times due to this problem.
There were no changes at all made to anything else with my system: same server, same computer, same emails, same everything. It just happened one day to the next.

Any limit is imposed by whatever SMTP server you use. So talk to your email provider.
With that number of recipients it would probably be a good idea to look for a mailing list service.

Please contact customer service to request assistance with this.
Also, when you say, "My skype number is constantly busy when I am called (and I am not using it!),"
... please note that the Skype Number will not "ring busy" - if you are using Skype, incoming calls would be diverted according to your Tools -> Options settings. The Skype Number provides a phone number for people to reach you, but the number has nothing to do with outbound calls you place.
