Option 43 question

My network has two different types of AP's, the 1130 and the 1242. I am using the Cisco switches to provide DHCP information to the AP's. If I read the directions correctly, I am supposed to use two different subnets for each model of AP?
Is that correct?

I have 1131s and 1200 APs on the same subnet. Here is the doc I used to configure the option 43 in my DHCP server.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_configuration_example09186a00808714fe.shtml
Table 1 shows you the VCI you need for the 1240
Scratch this I see you are using the switch for DHCP. Yeah you will have to create different pools for each type of AP. Sorry about that.

    I found it, but only on the "outside"...before you sign in. Once you are signed in, it is not there. (Now, I might be overlooking it or be crazy, but I can't find it)

  • Flash Install Option (newbie) questions

    I have some questions about the installation options for
    Flash CS4.
    I always prefer to install only the bare essentials. Do I
    actually need to install AIR, Adobe Drive, Device Central,
    Extension Manager, Media Player or Media Encoder to learn and use
    Flash?
    I intend to use Flash to animate some of my artwork for
    stand-alone presentation and/or broadband-only web. I do not expect
    to be producing low resolution content for either the web or mobile
    devices.
    Flash is totally new for me. After watching a Lynda.com video
    (Deke McClelland’s entertaining “Illustrator CS3
    One-to-One Advanced Techniques”) I started to play around
    with the simple animation effects available in Illustrator. I was
    so hooked!
    I returned my CS4 Design Standard upgrade to buy Design
    Premium immediately.
    The CS4 suite install on my XP system was not pretty. In the
    end, the only way (that I could) avoid the frozen “checking
    system profile” progress bar was to copy the entire first
    install DVD to a hard drive.
    One final question: even with new video drivers, neither of
    my XP systems will handle OpenGL. Being unable to use the cool new
    Photoshop zoom/pan tool is sad, but it won’t cause me to
    switch to Vista. Will I be missing more important/essential
    features in Flash CS4 without OpenGL?

  • 1252 AP DHCP option 60 question

    Hello all,
    I am installing 1252 AP's for the first time later this week and can not find on Cisco's web site what to enter for the dhcp option 60 vci string for this model AP when using IOS as the dhcp server.
    Will "Cisco AP c1240" work or perhaps "Cisco AP c1250" ?
    If anyone can point me to a link that will answer this question or perhaps let me know what you used for this parameter if you have alredy installed an lwaap 1252 it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,

  • IPod Battery options - different questions

    I have a different question for you folks regarding the battery. I already know that the battery needs to be replaced, but my question has to do with what Apple will do.
    I've called several stores and have received different stories from each one. My iPod is the Fifth Generation and it's out of warranty. I have been told the following:
    For $59, Apple will take my iPod and replace it with one that has a new battery. It's a refurbished iPod, but the battery is new.
    The cost to replace the battery is $249.
    And a few other options.
    What I want to know is... what is the truth? I just want to get the battery replaced.

    If you feel comfortable with it I suggest replacing the battery yourself. Search online and you can find batteries for less than having Apple replace it. Don't go for the cheapest one...find one that looks reliable. I don't understand why people would allow Apple to charge them to send them a refurbished product when all they want is the battery replaced. I would want MY iPod back with a new battery, I don't want a different one. This is a poor business practice, but hey what should we expect, Apple tells us what we can and cannot do. And before people go off on me being an Apple hater I own an iPod, iPhone and Mac Pro - I just hate being told what I can and cannot do with the product I paid for.

  • Firefox has ruined my computer and there is nowhere on the internet with a decent contact option. my question, what now?

    I had to download firefox in order to access school resources. I opted to perform the advanced setup as there are a few features I didnt want. I specified in the setup that i didnt want any toolbars. basically, i opted out of everything except for the installation itself. Now that firefox has been installed, I not only have toolbars, even in other browsers, which i specifically unchecked during the installation, but they are impossible to remove. I have tried toolbar options. The option to remove doesnt exist. I have tried to uninstall the toolbar. Again, not possible. In addition, I now have popups every time I do ANYTHING on the internet. Even when not using firefox. And in addition to THAT, my computer has slowed to a dead crawl. Even when i uninstall firefox, all the terrible features remain! This browser has ruined my computer. And ironically, the toolbar I never wanted ALWAYS has an advertisement for "clean up your computer" or "Repair CP issues" or "speed up your computer" and etc. So, what now?

    Looks like your computer was infected by a virus, and unless it targeted an security gap in the browser, that has nothing to do with firefox.
    Your best bet would be to run some malware scans. Malwarebytes is great.

  • Chart Expert - Options tab question

    Post Author: training2go
    CA Forum: Charts and Graphs
    Hello,
    I noticed a new feature on this tab called "Auto Arrange". I looked in the help file, but could not find any info about it. I've selected the option and re-run the report, but didn't see any changes, so I can't figure out what the purpose of the option is or if it works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    You say that you see the data tab in CR2008 and CRVS2008. I take that to mean in CPR S2X  and CPR 10.5(?).
    As far as I am aware, the chart expert only ships with stand-alone versions of CPR. E.g.; CPR 10.5 (Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008) does not have it, CPR S2X  does. CPR 2010 being a specific build for VS 2010, I'd expect it will not have the chart expert and that it will be available on a future upgrade.

  • Time Machine Options Settings Question

    Hi
    If using File Vault in the main/admin. profile. is the home folder supposed to be excluded in the TM options?
    running 10.5.6 and TM on a USB drive connected to an Airport Extreme.
    Thanks.

    Take a look at this: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.7/en/mh21241.html
    For improved security when backing up to a Time Capsule, the Time Capsule administrator can enable account mode and create individual accounts on the Time Capsule. Each Time Capsule account has its own network volume and password. If you back up to an individual account volume on a Time Capsule, other users can’t access your backups unless they know the password for that account.                                  Note: A Time Capsule set up with individual accounts contains a shared volume. Be sure you select your ownindividual volume as your backup disk, using the account name and instructions given to you by the Time Capsule administrator. The shared volume is intended only for information that all users canaccess.
    With account access, each user gets his/her own volume, I assume, on which the Time Machine backups are stored.
    My Time Capsule isn't set up yet, but I was playing with those settings. I *suspect* what happened when you switched from disk to account access is that there was sometime of (virtual?) repartiting taking place; for you went from one large partition (disk) to separate partitions (for each user). If that is right, big *if*, the original backups *may* be gone -- although there may be a way to recover them.
    Were I you, and if those backups matter, I would stop using the Time Capsule for backups -- turn off Time Machine on all clients -- until you get it sorted out. You risk overwriting the original backups.

  • Thank You All!  An Optional install question...?

    Thanks everyone for your advise before I upgraded my daughters macBook from Tiger to Snow Leopard. The install was flawless after a nervous start. For over an hour and two trys the computer could not read the install disk...but a quick call to Apple and some keyboard commands it finally recognized the DVD and took off, her HD even picked up about 5 gigs! At the start of the install is the folder for optional/extra install stuff...What are they? Thanks, Bill

    I can't remember exactly what is in the Optional Installs, but double-clicking will present you with a list of items to check or uncheck. I seem to remember Rosetta, Quicktime 7, languages, printers.
    From [MacInTouch's Snow Leopard FAQ|http://www.macintouch.com/specialreports/snowleopard/slfaq.html]:
    …including Rosetta, QuickTime 7, extra language translations, the full package of printer drivers, and iPod support. It also enables you to reinstall individual programs that are part of the system installation, including Mail, Safari, iTunes, iCal, and others.

  • html:select and html:options simple question  - please help

    Hi Friends,
    I am having a problem, please help me .I want to run a query and display all the lastnames of all the users in my database.Here are my files:
    UserForm.java
    public class UserForm extends ActionForm{
         private name firstName;

         //all getter and setters
    viewuser.jsp
    <html:select property="lastName">
        <html:options collection="users" property="lastName" labelProperty="lastName" />
    </html:select>
    and my Java Utility class method
    public ArrayList getusers() throws Exception {
             ArrayList aList = new ArrayList();
              Connection con = ConnectionUtil.getConnection();
              PreparedStatement stmt = null;
              try {

         }My problem is what i need to do in my Action class,so that it sets the "users" variable
    properly and i would be able to read that variable in my jsp and display the lastname
    of all the users.I am tryin this but failing badly:
    public class UserAction extends Action{
      ArrayList userssList = Utility_class_obj.getUsers();
      request.getSession().getServletContext().setAttribute("users", usersList);Please Please help,I would really appreciate your help.
    Thanks

    Thanks a lot friend...this time i made it work my style,next time i will use tha mehod.But I think I am not doing it the right way,please correct me:
    This is the method in my utility class where i run the query and I doubt I am not doing it right here:
    PreparedStatement stmt = null;
    ViewForm vForm = null;
    try {
    stmt = con.prepareStatement("SELECT LAST_NAME FROM   USERS_ADD");     \
    ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery();
    while(rs.next()) {
           vForm = new ViewForm(rs.getString(1));
          aList.add(vForm);
       rs.close();
       return aList;          }
    }And I made this constructor in my viewForm class:
    public ViewForm(String lastName){          this.setLastName(lastName);     }I do this in my Action class then:
    ArrayList pList = csDAO.getUsers();
         if(pList  != null){
         request.getSession().getServletContext().setAttribute("plist", pList);
    }And finally this in my jsp:
        <html:select property="lastName">
        <html: options collection="plist" property="lastName" labelProperty="lastName" /> And it works,but i don't think I can keep adding constructors to my form class like that,and moreoever if I want to search by first name ,there would be a conflict between 2 constructors,so can someone please tell me the right way to do this.
    Thanks

  • Option-Startup question

    Help! I inadvertantly held down the Option key instead of the shift key when I wanted to rebuild permissions. I know have two arrows and a hard drive icon with a small circle with an X in it. The arrow on the left is a circular arrow starting at the bottom, going up to the right with an arrow head at the top right. The other arrow is a straight arrow pointing right. I think the one means go back and the other forward, but I am not sure to what. Any clues as to what mess I just got myself into?
    Thanks
    MarciaTS

    Hi Marcia
    The Option key has taken you into the Startup Manager. See this KB article: Startup Manager: How to Select a Startup Volume.

  • Option key question

    Hi - I'm using a microsoft elite keyboard on my powermac.
    My understanding is the "Windows" key is the command key, and the "alt" key should be the option key.
    But the option key doesn't seem to be working for me, for example Option-Command-W should close all windows but when I press alt-windows key-W it just ignores the alt key and closes a single window (as if I just pressed windows key-W).
    Any ideas what could be causing that or how to fix it?

    Closing all windows on a Mac keyboard is command/shift/W

  • Capital One low CLI, options and questions...

    I opened my first credit card in January 2011. It was an Orchard Bank MC that was later sold and converted to a Capital One Platinum MC. A few years later (not sure) it was converted to the QS MC. Since I opened this account I have never missed a payment or had any negatives on my report. I got my last CLI 6 months and a few days ago. Because I have open 6 new credit cards in the past 2-7 months and meeting spend requirements I haven't been using the card much at all. I created a spreadsheet to calulate when I could request another CLI. 180 days after my last. On day 180 I requested one and was declined because of low payments. The card had a ~$500 balance a couple months ago that I paid off so the reason didn't make sense. I figured the reason was lack of recent usage. So for the past few days I have been using the card and requesting daily. Today it finally approved me for $400 to bring my limit to $3900. I was really hoping for at least $1500 so it could be a WMC as I have a VisaSig. The increase and limit bothers me as its my oldest revolving account.
    I have the following cards...
    1/11 C1 QS $3900
    2/13 BoA BBR MC $5000 (BBR can't be WMC they say)
    1/15 C1 QS $3500
    1/15 Barclay Rewards $1000
    2/15 AMEX ED $9000
    3/15 Chase Freedom $4500
    4/15 Citi DiamPref $1500
    5/15 Disc It Secured $500 (really secured but wanted the card, best card I got IMO)
    5/15 BoA 123 VisaSig $5000
    Also to note...
    12/14 Mortgage $59k/$64k (double+ pmts)
    4/15 Shared Secured Installment 352/500 (to max mix)
    2/15 Victoria Secret 0/500 (big regret)
    FICO08 EQ 680 TU 700 EX 698
    My question is was it a mistake to accept the low CLI now? Should of just contacted the EO for a manual review? Can I still do that or will I just get the line you got a CLI a day ago and gotta wait? Would they possible let me combine my 2 capital one cards ($3900 and $3500) into one card if they won't give me an addition $1100 increase for a WMC? I've had contact with the EO before and got the number; better to email or just call?
    Sorry if this scramble, unorganized, grammar, etc as this is the 3rd time I've written it as the page times out and I lost it.
    So to recap my questions...
    Does me accepting the low $400 CLI to $3900 today prevent the EO from possibly giving me a higher CLI?
    Can you combine your limits on 2 cards into one? Would combine the newer card to the older one to keep my oldest CC open.
    Any experiences you had with similar issues.
    Thanks in advance for your time and responses.

    As I've experience with capital one (capital one platinum) is that they DON'T give out many credit limit increases. I had my crapital one card since '09 and started when I was in rebuilder mode. Flash froward to present day and you can look at my siggy that I've come pretty far. High 700's and major credit cards in my wallet with some in the 10k plus and crapital one only gave me two CLI during my '09 to July 2015 loyalty to them. I felt I was capped at 2k after numerous emails to the EO. Don't sweat capital one and just use them for the history while you get better cards imho

    Eric,
    That is correct. You cannot insert a pause in speed dials for your version. CUCM 9.0 supports this feature.
